"Location is perfect and we had a double room close to the water so not far up the hill."

Cosy Little Hut”
I'm impressed that I only took less than 5 mins to check-in my room! Room is clean and location is good. There is restaurant (indoor/outdoor) downstairs and food there is not expensive. Motorcycle rentals and beach is only 1 min away from my hut. However, there are MANY stairways to climb before reaching my hut. It is tiring for an adult like me, not to mention my child. Overall good experience with Tok little hut. Will return there for my next trip to Koh Samet!
It seems that Tok Little Hut was recently renovated because this was the first time I stayed at a hotel where the room actually looked better than the pictures online. It is very close to a quiet beach and has a couple of decent restaurants right next to it. The hotel staff wasn't the friendliest, but the restaurant was. I would stay here again.
Great get away”
This hotel was one of the best deals I've ever stayed. It's on a steep hill which makes it difficult upon arrival and/or elderly and limited mobility people but staff helped me upon arrival and departure. It's on a quiet and beautiful beach yet only a few minutes away to the busy Sai Kaew Beach for night attraction seekers and you can have all you need within walking distance. The hut was charming with relatively new, very comfortable and clean bed unlike many 2-3 properties, simple but nice shower, fridge and side tables with flat screen TV which I didn't need. The only inconvenient thing is that there is no house phone so if you need anything you have to go down to the reception and this scared me a bit when the water pressure of the shower got down one moment. There's no wardrobe inside but you can hung outside so it will be handy to take cheap hunger to hook on curtain rail. The restaurant offers variety of food at a very reasonable price unlike in many Thai island and there were 2 more restaurants and bars right next door if you prefer more variety. All the staff was nice and friendly except the man sitting at the restaurant. You may hear the music from the bar next door if you are close to the beach but I didn't hear any as my hut on a higher end. I'd definitely go back when I need a good get away. Good WIFI in the room, restaurant and even on the beach. I bought AIS sim card which had strong coverage in remote area so no problem at all during my entire stay. Very reasonable and an ideal getting away!
Good location and nice huts”
Having eaten at Tok's Restaurant several times over the many years we have visited Samed this was the first time we chose to stay with Tok Little Hut and we have no regrets. We found that our hut was in good shape with nice beds and shower/bathroom facilities. Depending on which deal we can get on the price we will come back.
Tok's Little Hut is a collection of free standing huts winding up the hill from the road running right by the beach known as Jeb's Beach (the area just north of Ao Phai which is north of Silver Sands). The rooms are quite clean with good aircon and a lovely balcony out front, no sea view to speak of but the huts are set in pretty gardens so it's fine. The restaurant by the beach is well priced and quite OK, though Jeb's next door and Sea Breeze (?) down the road are better options. I was a little disappointed that they wouldn't refund my prepaid final night seeing as they were fully booked and sure to find a customer to replace me (i gave three days' notice), but they eyes within their rights to do so. Speedboat booking cost me a 50b fee, quite reasonable i think. Silver sands is a ten minute walk, tubtim around fifteen. In the other direction, teen minutes walk away is the main street, with cafes, restaurants, 7/11 etc just outside the national park gates. Sometimes the staff seemed a little gruff but i think they always meant well, Just not as smiley as your average Thai hospitality staff.
3days at Tok Little Hut”
Nice bungalows to stay in and well looked after and modern.Wi Fi is great considering its Koh samet,Make sure when you book a standard bedroom its a double bed(king size) and when you arrive its not two seperate beds-(twin bed). The bungalows are opposite Ao Phai beach 20meters.They have a restaurant there to which is decent but typical thais they make you pay for the sun chairs right there on the beach. The beach is clean and peaceful with friendly people and you can relax with no worries and no hawkers annoying you.You can rent motorbike for one day at 300baht and cheaper for longer.I recommend it but there is others worth checking out too.Bring company if your coming to Koh Samet.
Very close to the beach”
The room (family room) was very clean and spacious and close to the beach. Be aware that if you book a standard room it can be located far up the hill, which is quite a walk every time. The restaurant serves good western and Thai food and for Koh Samet is on the cheaper side. Most restaurants are more expensive. The beach was very nice and ideal for a family with kids. Beach chairs can be rented for 80 THB for the whole day. Other nearby beaches are easily accessible by foot, but the resort also rents out motorcycles. We enjoyed our stay. I gave 4 stars for facilities, since in a resort like this the rooms should have a hot water boiler for making coffee IMO.
Our second time staying here. Located at a narrow stretch of Ao Phai beach in nice (quiet) surroundings free from the hundredes of gasoline smelling speedboats taking thousands of chinese one day visitors to Sai Kaew beach every day. That said a ferry connection is now available a few times a day right outide Tok's and a small tour operator has started next door whose speedboats spread their fumes every time they go in and out so it is clearly noticable on the terrace even if you have a hut half way up the hill.
One of the nicest beaches on the island is just steps away”
The little huts are on the hillside right above a really nice beach and the toks restaurant, which has great, cheap food. It can be a steep climb up to the rooms, but the location is worth it.
Great location, lovely little cottages, clean”
Tuk's little hut is conveniently located between two great party areas but at the same time, it's still far enough not to have any noise at all. It's basically directly on the beach (with a small road separating it from the direct coastline), it has it's own little restaurant for breakfast and dining. Rooms and the whole setup is lovely with separate little cottages, very clean, nice bathrooms. The only thing I felt missing was included breakfast in the room rates. That would make it probably the best accommodation on the coast.
Great value, close to everything”
The hotel is situated very close to the most trafficed beach, yet it is far enough to be quiet and relaxing. We were greeted very well upon arrival and the staff were happy to help us with our bags. It is a refreshing climb up a few staircases, which is nice is you don't mind the exercise. The huts and surrounding vegetation is very pleasing and cozy. The room itself is fresh and modern, nothing to complain about at all. Overall, a very price worthy hotel and I would strongly recommend living here. There is also a very good restaurant by the beach that belongs to the hotel.
Perfect location ”
Perfect location right on Ao Phai beach and short walk to the main Sai Kaew Beach. Tranquil little huts with a nice balcony for reading. Would def stay here again!
Our stay at Tok's Little Hut”
I don't have anything bad to say about Tok's Little Hut. The wifi is extremely fast. Everything we experience was perfect, except the endless staircase. Ghees, that was a nightmare and we ended up leaving in the morning and return in the evening just to avoid the huge amount of stairs. We will however re-book, but a hut closer to the beach (for sure) The friendliness of the staff is amazing.
little bunglows in a lovely area”
The bunglows are located in a hillock facing the Ao Phai beach. The open air restaurant is located at the beach itself. The rooms are good in size and clean. The bathroom is also not bad at all. Total greenery surrounded the bunglows. Peaceful and quite. Next to the Naga Bar & disco. Food is also cheap and good for the price. Great for a couple of days stay.
Wonderful location depending on room number!”
Tok Little Hut reception is in an idyllic location with its own beachfront close to a golden sanded seafront. However, bungalows to the rear of the property are at the top of a long, steep staircase. I suspect cheaper rooms may be subject to a considerable climb. Rooms are nice and airy. A better location closer to the front would make for a wonderful stay.
Fabulous and relaxing!!”
We were a group of 4, we had a wonderful relaxing time at Tok’s Little Hut! The beach is beautiful and super close, rooms were clean (if a bit of a climb)! We ate dinner and breakfast in the beachside restaurant, both were delicious! Staff were friendly and helpful. We’ll most definitely be back! ♥️
Lovely huts in a peaceful setting.”
A few restful days were spent at this delightful accommodation. The huts were cleaned daily, the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for quiet relaxation but near enough to walk to the town. Be prepared for a climb to your hut as they are built on a hill! We would have liked the option of having a kettle in our room so we could have a late evening hot drink, as many of the nearby restaurants were closed by 10.30. Apart from that we were very happy with our choice!
A little hut at a marvelous beach”
Little huts are offered as individual rooms on a hill. Air conditioning is needed and provided. You can walk directly to the wonderful white sand Beach or sit there for breakfast and lunch. Staff could be friendlier, but food is nice and the stay comes at a very good price. Close by you can check out Naga Bar, a good place to go out at night or take a 5 minutes walk to the village.
We were 6+ couples celebrating multiple birthdays. Tok Little Hut was a great place to stay as it was centrally situated to everything we had planned plus is 50 meters from a nice beach with chairs/umbrellas. The staff was very helpful and overall we enjoyed staying here.
Tok Little Hut is nice, but the same cannot be said about the island. The island is nothing special, but for sure not value for money. The island is simply far too expensive compared with quality and what the island can offer in generel!
