Not the best but OK”

I gave this hotel an OK because it was affordable and well located. The airport bus drops you at Nishiki-dori, about a five-min walk from the hotel; likewise the departure point for the airport. You are about two mins away from one of the exits to Sakae subway underground mall and you are just one stop away from Nagoya JR Station where there is abundant shopping and food outlets. But the room was very small and the adjoining street seems to be a bit seedier though safe to walk through as there are countless eateries and family marts. Round the corner from the hotel is the famous Sushizanmai Kiyomura.

Center of Commercial Nagoya”

Located inside the Sakae commercial district in Nagoya, this well-kept facility is an excellent choice from which to explore Nagoya. There are 24-hour outlets for food and entertainment all around the hotel but security and cleanliness are top-grade. Rooms are small (expected in Japan) but well designed to fit all needs. Service is warm and location unbeatable. The shopping belt comprising of more than 10 complexes and under-ground market networks are just 2 traffic junctions away.

Exceptional”

This is a very good hotel, just 2-3 minutes walk from subway Sakae station and Don Quijote. Have a convenient store at ground floor, can buy drink/food any time. The room is quite large (comparing to other Japanese hotels) and clean. I think I will stay here if I come to Nagoya again. I walk to Osu shopping district in 20 minutes. But if you have day trip to Inuyama, and Shirakawa, suggest you to stay in Nagoya station area.

Highly recommended.”

Spacious twin room. Have two washing basins, one inside the toilet and one outside it. Good for make up. Very clean. Ten feet wide window facing ferris wheel. Just jpd11000 each night. Good location in Sakae . two subway stops from Nagoya Station. Breakfast yummy but just jpd1000. It uses silver plated utensils! 3 star room rate but 5 star service and room. I have been to Japan ten times. Definitely one of the best hotels i ever tried in Japan . Better ask for the room at the end of the lift lobby. It should normally be the biggest room. Mine was Rm1701.

Great value for money”

Great location and value

First time at Tokyo Daiichi Hotel Nishiki. I was initially uncertain because of the low price, but everything was good. Fairly standard room size for japanese hotel, but the bed was comfortable and we didn't need lots of space as we were really only there for sleeping. At check in we needed to swap to a non-smoking room and this was done without fuss. Note that the staff do not have much (any) english - my bad japanese was sufficient. Location is very good.

Good location and service”

I think this hotel is very good since the staffs allowed us to have early check-in if a room is ready. Also, it has a luggage service that can trasfer your luggage to other cities in Japan. The location is really near to Sakae subway station. This hotel is a good choice if you want to stay in Nagoya.

convenience store is located at the ground floor; a 24-hour donki is just 2 block away; ichiran ramen is just across the street; sakae shopping district is 2 blocks away, its location is the best. daiichi hotels, while old, are well maintained so comfort is guaranteed. we deposited our luggage for 5 days while we are on osaka and they have no problem with it. we will probably stay here again in december.

Central, quiet and clean.”

Great location, excellent service and wonderful pyjamas.

Our stay was smooth. We were very impressed with the efficient service and general cleanliness of the hotel. It's very convenient being central and close to exit 1 of Sakae subway station. Although it's located next to Nagoya's main drinking area, the hotel itself is very quiet and apart from negotiating the crowds at night, we had no problems. The breakfast spread was good. They had all the amenities including pyjamas that were changed everyday so you don't need to bring many toiletries. There is also a conbini downstairs that is open 24/7. Smoking is still allowed indoors in Japan so if you prefer a non-smoking room, it's better to ask.

Good priced hotel in Nagoya”

value for money, comfortable bed

We have stayed at the Daiichi Nishiki before as it is good value for money and well located. This visit was for four nights. The hotel is focused towards the Japanese market so don't expect too much English, but that isn't really a big problem if all you need is check-in and out. Room was good size and mostly comfortable. For some reason the air conditioning wouldn't cool the room, so it became quite hot - fortunately, there are opening windows and we slept comfortably.

I highly recommend this hotel. The location was perfect, close to everything. The airport bus also drops you off near the hotel. Train station is also walking distance. The staff were all friendly and the rooms were slightly bigger than other hotels. They also helped us ship our luggage to tokyo since we took the Shinkansen going there.

Wonderful Time in Nagoya”

Clean hotel, efficient staff, impressive lobby.

Location is near the subway although it would have been better if near the JR station. Lobby is big, clean and impressive. Staff are courteous and efficient. Rooms are clean and cozy. Would prefer a bigger room though. Available tea and kettle helps warm us up as it was winter. Superb value for money. I will recommend this hotel to my friends visiting Nagoya.

Thank you, Tokyo Daiichi Hotel Nishiki!”

I had a great pleasant stay at this hotel. It was centrally located, about 2 blocks away from Don Quixote and there is a convenience store downstairs I can go to. The staff especially Mr. Nakamura was very helpful and pleasant. He went above and beyond his duty when my friend left his purse in Shirakawa-go. Really grateful for his help :) Breakfast was good too. Sadly, they close it at 10:00. I think they should have it opened earlier, say 6-10:00am to allow guests to enjoy breakfast time longer. I really had a great stay here and will definitely book again if I will come back to Nagoya! Arigatō gozaimashita!

Great hotel! ”

The rooms were spacious for our family, bathroom was bigger than other Japanese hotels. They even had slippers and toothbrush for kids. Walking distance to the train station, Don quixote, malls and has a convenience store downstairs. Near the airport shuttle too! They were very helpful when we had our luggage shipped to tokyo. We enjoyed our stay there.

Location, facilities

Not easily spotted from the street, but the taxi driver knew it. Spacious and comfortable inside. Everything clean and efficient. Fast Internet if you use the LAN cable, not so fast on the wi-fi, although OK for email. Convenience store adjoining the lobby. Less than five minute walk to the Sakae underground station. Not very convenient for familiies dining in (no microwave oven)

Rooms were in lovely old English style. Within 5 minutes walk to major shopping centres, sjops, restaurants, pubs and entertainment facilities in downtown Sakae district of Nagoya. An affordable pasta restaurant on the ground floor for those who are too tired to venture out.
