Tokyo Dome Hotel (July 17-29, 2008)”
The Tokyo Dome Hotel is nice. The staff is friendly, courteous, and very helpful. Most staff I interacted with spoke enough English to understand our needs. If an employee doesn’t understand English, they will, no doubt, find someone who does. The hotel facilities and guest rooms are kept very clean, as is the entire Tokyo Dome City/LaQua area. My only (very minor) complaints: 1) The carpet in our room, although very clean, was showing wear and tear, along with a lot of little stains, and the hallway carpet on our floor was bunched up in spots from the room cleaning carts. 2) The elevator service is slow at times. Avoid the elevators during peak chek-in times and after events at the Tokyo Dome let out (there are signs that warn of up to 30 minute waits after Dome events). A couple of times, we waited probably 5-7 minutes for an elevator even though it appeared to be a slow time at the hotel. We never felt insecure or under-served while there. The hotel is just a few minutes walking distance from 4 train/subway stations. Suidobashi (JR Sobu line), Suidobashi (Mita line), Kasuga (Mita & Oedo lines), and Korakoen (Marunouchi & Namboku lines). Using the trains and subway is easy, especially if you get a “suica” card. The card is good on all Tokyo trains and subway lines. Also, the ticket machines in the stations have a button for English instructions.
Great location and price”
Pros: 1. Hotel rooms in Japan can be small - for those mid-range budget travellers Tokyo Dome provides a little more space at the right price. We had to change to a different hotel for the last two days days of our stay, and the room size was not comparable at all with what Tokyo Dome provided at a similar price. 2. If you have a JR Pass (either the 7 or 14 days) , the hotel is a few mins walk to the JR lines from where you can get to all points of interest quite easily and effortlessly. Staying at Tokyo Dome definitely saved us a lot of money in terms of access to JR train lines. 3. Staff are able to communicate in English and provide assistance. We left a shirt at the hotel when we checked out. We called a few hours later when we realized our mistake and the staff were able to assist. They found the shirt, called to inform us that it was ready for pick-up and when we arrived at reception had it packaged for us. Cons: The hotel is popular and can be booked out for some of your days
We had a packaged tour and subsequently a free and easy 4 days tokyo which we chose tokyo dome hotel. After the packaged tour, we shifted from a 3 star to a 4 star hotel. Imagine the pleasant surprise we had when we saw the huge lobby compared to the 3 star ones. The entire experience was totally a different level. From the elevator, you could get the view of the amusement park as it travels up the storeys. The room we had was a 3 person room. It was really a spacious room with 3 fix beds rather than 2 plus one foldable. We had 3 huge suit cases and there are still spaces for a box and two handcarrys (we definitely shopped). One thing to note is that if u are completely clueless where to go, go laqua first. They have restaurants, shopping and a supermarket downstairs to grab all the food you need. There are souvenir stores along the way from level 2 and a suidobashi station within walking distance (theres two separate lines - JR and mita line so dont confused and go to the wrong exit). Theres a don quijote opposite laqua that sells a wide variety of things too. On the last day we had soooo many things and we were glad that the hotel provides carton boxes (400yen for big ones). They will bring up for you and also tape for you at lobby when you are done packing. Theres also a airport limousine bus service (3100 yen per pax). Its expensive but totally worth if you had too much luggage to bring and considering the train stations mostly have a lot a lot a lot of stairs to climb.
Enjoyable Stay at Tokyo Dome”
Having read the review from previous guests from Agoda, decided to choose Tokyo Dome for my 7 days stay. The overall feedback for this hotel was very good for its various reasons, location, food, comfort rooms and many more that has make our stay a wonderful one. The most convenient was the airport limosine transfer service from Narita to the hotel lobby, that is just so seamless. There are also nearby eateries, supermarket, shopping mall and a theme park are the highlights from this stay. Two train lines nearby also make our travelling within Tokyo a breeze. Overall am glad we selected Tokyo Dome as our stay, will surely return when travel to Tokyo again. Hope this reference helps to make your next reservation stay in Tokyo.
Lovely hotel, great location”
Absolutely the BEST place to stay if your not doing tours and just "wingin" it by yourselves. Subway was about a one minute walk from the hotel! And every city we went to was less than 10-15 minute subway rides. Ginza and daiba have the best shopping spots and akihabara is electronic and anime central. Roppangi is the bar/Clubs night life City. Tokyo tower is a must see, you can see the whole city from the observation deck. Don't take a taxi for anything, use the subways and enjoy the walking you do there. it's definitely a work out but the places you can find on foot are worth it. the most expensive part about our trip was food, but we did so much in our 4 days we barely got hungry so only ended up eating about once a day. But Starbucks and mcdonalds are right outside the hotel for a quick coffee/snack to take on the sub. Subways were not hard to figure out if u can follow a map and pronounce names easily. All we did was tell the ticket masters at the train station the city we were trying to go to and he'd tell us which ticket to purchase. Very very inexpensive by the way. Of course it adds up but definitely less than renting a car and paying for parking everywhere u went. The hotel was very pretty, our room wasn't too small, pretty big for Japanese standards. Bed was semi uncomfortable but we'd be so tiered by the time we made it back to the hotel that it felt like heaven. Don't eat at the hotel, too expensive. And also don't eat at the buffet in Tokyo dome that's located across the water fountain in the shopping area behind the hotel. Without showing us a menu with prices They had us pay AFTER eating their nasty cafeteria type food and for two people came out to be about 65 dollars. If your al Italian lover like us capricciosa located in that same area is some of the best Italian food I've had in Japan. Being from up north in the states, Tokyo made me feel very at home and I did not want to leave. We loved it so much were planning to come back in December
Amazing location and property. ”
The Tokyo Dome hotel exceeded my expectations!. It is in a fantastic location. Not directly in the middle of the action but close enough that it is a very short train ride to get there. Suidobashi Station for both the JR line and Metro is fantastic for tourists and any other travellers. The Tokyo Dome precinct is fantastic as well and being in such close proximity opens up to much more opportunities. I found the price to be reasonable for what you are getting, 5 star service and amenities for a very reasonable price. Overall awesome, would recommend for others to stay and would definitely stay again myself.
Tokyo Dome Hotel”
The Tokyo Dome Hotel is a very nice place to stay. The rooms are big enough but the positioning of the tv is strangely to the side of the bed. But, you're not getting the room to watch tv. Even though it was supposed to be a non smoking floor there was a lingering smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway. The breakfast is mediocre and should be skipped or had at a different restaurant. The location is very convenient being next to the Tokyo Dome and its stores. It's also very, very close to the train stations. The best is the view. My room was on the 33rd floor and I truly enjoyed my view over Tokyo. Overall, a nice place to stay. Interaction with the staff is minimal.
Our stay in Tokyo dome was good. The hotel is a 3,5 stars (lobby look like 5 stars). Is in the Tokyo dome area and in front of the Sudobashi JR station. The hotel is centrally located, cannot say bad, but anyway is not the best option if you think good. Anyway at least in my case, the price was good compared with other hotels same category, so cannot refuse it. Tokyo is an amazing city but tooooo big, anyway have very good connection by JR or Subway (recommend to use JR always, is better, cleaner and cheaper). I recommend the hotel, but if you have a little more money, better go to Shibuya Excel Hotel.
Our Great Stay in Tokyo Dome Hotel ”
We had a great stay in Tokyo Dome Hotel. The hotel is in the heart of Tokyo and very accessible to transportation. The hotel staff are accomodating and courteous. The view from our hotel room is the theme park in Tokyo Dome City, which we really appreciate. The hotel is very accessible also to good restaurants where prices are reasonable. We are planning to go back to Japan and without hesitation we will stay again in Tokyo Dome Hotel. We likewise recommend Tokyo Dome Hotel to everyone who would like to visit Tokyo.
Good sized rooms and clean ”
Tokyo Dome Hotel offer great value for money. It was always really easy to get back to the hotel as Tokyo Dome is a super famous baseball stadium that everyone knows plus the hotel was easy to spot as it was sky high. There are lots of restaurants and supermarkets around of all price ranges. Train stations were only a few mins walk. The shower pressure and mirror for makeup application were also tops! I’d stay here again :) Ps the room size was larger that the average Tokyo size.
A welcoming and comfortable stay”
We spent just one night at Tokyo Dome Hotel on our last night in Japan. We booked the Junior Suite - Twin through Agoda. The price was excellent for the size of the room and the facilities. We spent a lot of time exploring the Toky Dome city area; lots of things to see and do that kept us occupied for an afternoon & evening. We had access to the Excellency facilities, so it was lovely to enjoy a few drinks and nibbles with incredible views out over the metropolis of Toyko in the evening. Would definitely stay here again.
Small rooms but great location for entertaining children”
We booked two rooms next to each other for us and our two small children. We have stayed in Tokyo dome hotel before we had children so didn't appreciate the convenience of the many nearby restaurants and activities for children in Tokyo Dome City. Having previously travelled to Tokyo with our first child I would definitely pick Tokyo dome over our last hotel. Asobono is fantastic for toddlers and small children and the nearby Moomin cafe was great for breakfast
Tokyo dome hotel has a excellent traffic point and there has big clean room.”
Tokyo dome hotel was great hotel that i has been. There having a good traffic point is where subway station is near hotel. You can ride subway to going for Shinjuku to Chiba with JR suidobashi station on JR Cyuo line and You can go to Tokyo Staiton through Marunouchi line. It make you help to move easily where you go to tokyo's downtown. And Tokyo dome hotel has a shuttle bus where they go to haneda airport. You don't need to awful that may you could be late. But Tokyo dome hotel is near from Tokyo dome[Baseball stadium]that could be you wake up sleeping when Dome has been a festival like baseball game it is. Staffs are friendly. You don't need to turn on transfer app . Room is clean and big.
The Tokyo Dome Hotel was situated in an excellent location. Easy to get to from the Port of Yokohama, we took the train that stopped at Ochanomizu, got off, crossed few steps across the platform and took another train to get off at Suidobashi. The hotel is next to the Tokyo Dome City, an entertainment complex, easy to find...look for the skyscraper as you exit the train station. We were upgraded to the 35th floor and were given an English newspaper every morning. Thank you for an excellent ad comfortable stay.
Great location great room”
Totally wowed by the room, the view was fantastic, especially when we went there the Tokyo Dome had a special lights display at night. The location was decently close to both a JR as well as a metro station, so we could go to most places. Customer service was very prompt. From the moment we got into the hotel and called someone regarding our Internet service to going down to lobby at 2am asking about tsukiji fish market, the hotel's staff made us feel very well taken care of. Room is clean and big compared to the other tokyo hotel we've been in. Transfer to both airports was also convenient as they offer catered buses for a fee. Unfortunately during our stay we didnt manage to get Internet service in our room despite paying for wifi, free use of LAN was also somehow unavailable despite multiple tries by the hotel staff. So we had to go down to lobby when we required Internet services, slightly inconvenient but bearable.
great place to stay”
pros : near with convenient store, food and train stations. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room for 3 just nice with tokyo dome view. Cons : the hotel rated 4 and half star but the room are quite old. other than that, its a worth stay at tokyo dome hotel with 3 different train station within less than 5minutes walking distance. From Narita Airport we only took airport limousine direct to the hotel lobby.
excellent for our first family trip to Tokyo”
We loved our stay at the TDH! Our family of four (2 adults, a 5- and 2- year old) fit very comfortably in a double room on the 35th floor (awesome view!) The airport limousine bus to/from Narita has a stop right at the hotel itself (no hauling luggage from a train station!); Suidobashi station is literally right around the corner and is easy to navigate (much easier than, say, Shibuya station, in my opinion); Tokyo Dome City has lots of quick dining & food court options both in the park as well as the immediate surrounding area (perfect when you have small kids...no sit-down meals for us!); there's a 7-11 right downstairs for making cash withdrawals (very few atms in the city will accept non-local cards) and for grabbing snacks; in the evening we let the kids play around the amusement park, which was great for unwinding after long days of exploring the city. Hotel itself was clean and welcoming; staff was always lovely and very polite; gave the food a 3-rating only because we didn't actual eat at any of the in-hotel restaurants and there was not a "does not apply" rating offered...but they looked nice! All in all, we would definitely stay here again!
Very good stay!”
I highly recommend Tokyo Dome Hotel. Clean, Great staff, easy to access, very nice neighbourhood, great unique restaurants, cafes and bars, in the surroundings, nice traditional park, and great walk in the Tokyo university area and Iidabashi. Big (+) in your room, an android phone, you can carry around in Tokyo with you, with internet. little (-) aircon a little stuffy. Thank you Tokyo Dome, will come again!
Great hotel ”
Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I was surprised at how convenient it turned out to be, with 2subway lines and a JR station right there. Also enjoyed all the activity going on in the Tokyo Dome complex, including LaQua spa (hotel discount applies). I am particularly grateful to one of the front desk staff, Horikoshi, who not only spoke perfect English, but at check in she did her very best to find me the nicest room available for my two-week stay. Her courteousness made a big difference to me. Housekeeping services were great, although one set of towels and two tiny pillows were in my room. However I talked to the extremely understanding housekeeping manager, who immediately handled my special request and ensured that every day staff provided an extra pillow and a second set of towels. For the hotel rule though, even though somewhat common in Japan, 1 set of towels 1 small teacup and 1 bar glass even though a single room, is inadequate for 5 stars!
We stay 2 days in a room with 3 single bed , size of room a bit smaller (but Japan's hotel is usually like this), still comfortable for the 3 of us, clean room. Love the location as it close to restaurant and many convenience store (Seven Eleven, Family Mart or Lawson and Medical drug store), but you have to walk a bit to the opposite side of Tokyo Dome Hotel then crossing the street. The staff are very helpful and professional. Breakfast has 2 type: All u can eat buffet or Japanese Breakfast. We choose Japanese Breakfast and we really love it, very yummy , they provide us with a set of japanese style breakfast package, more or less same menu with the picture in front of the restaurant.
