Cheap...fine for one night
We had a really nice taxi driver who took us for food after we checked in, as the place is miles from civilization. The check in was quick, although the guy was very confused. The room was big.
As 2 girls traveling we were quite nervous staying out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by non English speaking Thai men who just seemed confused as to why we were there. However, we got a good nights and our taxi man returned to take us to the airport at 9am. It's very basic, no breakfast, no wifi, but make sure you eat before you go there because it really is in the middle of nowhere!

really bad experience...
nothing good, dont stay on this hotel.
really chaotic, the staff didnt spoke a word in english, and was welcome for like 6 weird guys (kinda brazilian favella look alike) there was no reception, they took us to this room that havent anything , not even internet or towels, bugs on the shower toilet, and the door didnt even had a lock so we ended blocking it with a chair and our backpacks. i payed 3 nights but stayed just 1, really a bad experince. do not stay there!

Free Porn!
Quiet, secluded, close to central plaza, and free porn!
We re English teachers from Ban Na San, so we make it to every other weekend or so just to catch a movie or something...well mostly because we are pizza fiends and that is the closest place to get it. The room was fine, difficult to find of you're not a local. the central plaza isn't even on there so it's difficult to say what's what if you haven't been there before. There's a back route to the central plaza which is about a 20 minute walk if you don't dilly dally. But if you get in past 9pm the only thing you'll be able to do there is catch a movie. There's a super Tesco kitty corner from the plaza but I'm not sure of their hours. Your best bet is to bring your food and boos with you from the ferry or where ever, stop and get some ice on the way and kick back I guess I'm just not freaked out as easily as some people, or it could just be that most people are coming from Samui and being pampered for a week.

Seasoned travelers
Aircon, a bit isolated, free porn.
It was a busy weekend in Surat Thani because of graduation, so we booked one of the last rooms we could find. We are English teachers from Nasan so we go to the city every couple of weeks to get out of our small town to see a movie and eat some pizza. Most people that rate hotels in the area are obviously going to or from the islands and Surat Thani is merely a stopover for them. Hence, you need to read ratings on a bit of a curve because these people are vacationing and staying at resorts, and likely been getting massages and going to fine dining establishments. That, and if you're any sort of seasoned traveler, you've probably seen the worst of it. My first hostel experience was in a six share room in Melbourne, Australia, when I awoke the first morning to find one of my shoes completely filled with urine. I trekked half-way across the continent and well into the outback before finally coming across a cheap shoe store that was open. Having said that what would you really expect from a hotel at $13 a night? It was cleanish, more so than some of the other cheap hotels in Surat, but I rather enjoy dingy hotels because they have character. The place had a comfy bed, a nice cold shower, aircon, and count 'em, eight channels of free porn! If you know the area too, it's only about a twenty minute walk to the central plaza.

Disapointing location and bad environment
If you really need a place to sleep
I don't recommend this resort, since it is not a resort actually, maybe a farm or something. The room is totally different from the picutres shown, and the lord and other stuffs there looks unprofessional. Besides, the location is awkward. Although it claims it is near the airport, but it locates inside a remote village ouside the city center, so it is hard for you to call cars or even go there.
