If you are expecting a 5 star hotel for the cost of a starbuck coffee then you will be dissapointed. If you want a simple, inexpensive and clean place then this is the best option in the area. It felt a little like grampa's lake house.

Nice place to stay for a night ”
If you get over the fact that everything is build from bamboo and wood (hence some gaps in the walls and floors where you can see through) it is a very nice place to stay. The wooden structure had a nice charm for me. Big chill out area with view over the port. Room and bed were comfortable. Good wifi. Downside: No breakfast included and food was expensive. Water pressure in the shower wasn’t great.

My room only had a bolt to lock the door while I was inside and the sink drain leaked when being used. There are also many gaps where insects or geckos can get in but there is a mosquito net above the bed to keep them off of you at night. I only used it the first night then got used to the situation for the next two nights. Good place to crash for cheap but not if you're squeamish about roaches or other critters. No AC either but I did okay with the fan in the room. Other than that the location is prime and it's the cheapest place in the area. Not a lot of privacy though as the walls are bamboo and sound carries right through. Solo traveller's on a budget should consider this place if you like camping. Otherwise spring for la cabana down the street for a little extra cash

first stay”
although i have eeaten at Topi Inn many times (the best cheese fondue in Bali) it was my first stay, i am probably a bit old for backpacker accomodation but Padang Bai Beach Homestay was unavailable on Agoda. I was just greatful for a bed before continuing on to Lombok

Good place”
I had a good stay at the topi inn. The only problem is that it can be loud. There is live music downstairs sometimes and you can hear the other guests walking around. They make a good brownie and the staff were very nice.

Great place for 1 night before taking fast boat”
It is a good place to stay in Padang Bai before taking the fast boat to Gili Islands. Went straight from the airport to Padang Bay in the evening, spent the night and took the fast boat the next morning (shorter distance for a rough sea ride). Great location close to the harbour, the bar is good, staff friendly, nice garden and superb breakfast!

Amazing hotel and restaurant”
Stay was amazing. Such a beautiful rustic hotel/hostel. Bathroom was amazing and the large window. That opened in the bedroom was so nice. The restaurant was absolutely fantastic. Couldn't get enough of it. Even planned our trip back around stopping there for lunch! Staff friendly and attentive.live band/movies on some night. Great place, highly recommended.

comfortable common areas”
This is a backpacker's hotel, it's close to many dive shops and the staff is more than happy to set you up with tours or transportation. The cafe serves both international and Balinese fare and both were good. There’s no air conditioning and closing the mosquito netting around the bed prevents air flow so it can get warm. Luckily the bugs weren’t too bad so we left the netting open and were comfortable. I don’t think there’s a water heater but the ambient temperature water wasn’t too cold so it was ok. Overall I thought the hotel was a good value for the money.

Good stay, staff look a bit tired of tourists, seemed to look straight through me, i understand the business, customers can become a drag, maybe it was only my experience, no big deal, great place to stay, fantastic chilled space upstairs to view the beach and read or snooze, beautiful.

Adventurous and funky.”
Positive : Funky interior and exterior, beach view right in front of the hotel, happening restaurant right on the first floor. Negative : Dirty bed sheets and floor, no towels. The hotel is more suitable for backpackers, but the price isn't. If I were travelling with a boyfriend, this would be a lovely hotel to stay at, despite of the dust, it's utterly charming and adventurous. But bringing your in-laws and parents, probably not.

it was horrible! we booked double room with fan, you cannot call that place a hotel, it is a hole!!!! it is better to stay outside on the beach rather than to stay at topi inn.... we had rats in out room at night they were running on us!!! the room was dirty, the shower almost had no water and staff at registration lied to us about public ferry time (because they wanted us to book ferry tickets through them). there is nothing positive to say about that place

I booked the hotell with no expectation. The first thing that hit me when i arrived was the smell of sweat. None of the staff offered to help with the luggage, and i had to ask for check in. Pretty bad firstimpression, and it did not get any better when one of the staffmembers could not carry one of my bags. It was heavy i will give him that , 26kg. When i got to the room it was an terrible smell, padlock on the door, and the most discusting toilet and washing sink i have seen in bali. Looked like it was never cleaned. I had booked for four days, but stayed 1, 5hour. Would never recommend this place even if the location was good, at the end of the road.

I just stay one night, I wouldn t stay more, not even a good deal for the price, should have pay half the price for this room. If you can t find something else, then go there because you still have a bed to sleep otherwise try to find something else. About the staff, whatever price he is saying, you can find better. this one was the worse I have met. Room was dirty, I had the pleasure or luck to be able to ear all the staff talking till 00h/1h To resume, not a good deal at all or just for one night if it is your last solution

Nice little budget hotel”
The location is almost at the end of the road, not so far from the port to depart to Lombok or Gilis. It has their own restaurant with quite good breakfast. The concept of the hotel is eco-friendly, made of mostly woods with no aircon, but you don't really need that because it's quite nice at night.
