comfortable
super love the Japanese tatami floor bed room. we spent a night there with our own private open air onsen, so glad that I booked it. Do take the hakone tozan bus, only 5mins ride and bus stop is jus outside the hotel (kami-tonosawa stop). don't use train. the only downside is the hotel doesn't hv an elevator. so do come with a light backpack rather than a huge heavy luggage.

Nice hot spring hotel
I stayed at this traditional hot spring hotel in a Japanese style room with a bathroom. The room is big and you could enjoy the hot spring at you room. The price is reasonable. The staff were nice, they helped us to carried the baggage into the room, we were appreciated. Highly recommended!

Please dont take train to hotel. Bus is better.
Overall is very good. I stay for one night with private bathroom and river view.. but too bad is raining day when I was there.. I took the train to the hotel then I lost and alot of staircases have to walk.. somemore I carried with a big luggage make me very tired and sweaty.. my suggestion is take bus to the hotel is better cos walking distance from the bus stop to the hotel to avoid the staircases... the dinner is nice (is a Japanese style dinner) but I missed the breakfast time so no comment on the breakfast😂😂

Enjoyed the room and private bath by the stream
The hotel is a bit old. But having a room right by the stream was extremely pleasant. The inroom hot spring was nice but the public bath was not so great. Food was just ok, simple breakfast and dinner.

Not bad.
Shuttle service for 100 yen available from Hakone-Yumoto station, so quite convenient. Room smelled antique. The area seemed like a maze. Not all stairways from the dining hall led to my room. Booked for half-board. Had shabu-shabu for dinner with interesting variety of side dishes. Breakfast was heavy but nice.

Great location
We stayed at the place for 1 nite. Location is great. We took bus no. 3 from Hakone Yumoto Station. Since we had the 3 days pass, we didn't have to pay. We got off at the 3rd stop Kami-Tonosawa. The hotel is right there. Our room had an open air bath. It was great. Room was spacious and clean. We had the river view. Dinner was okay. We made a good choice to pay extra for the sashimi boat which was good. Service at front desk could be better. The receptionist was a bit cool. But the lady who served our check out was very polite and warm. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Hotspring is the best
We stayed one night in this traditional Japanese hotel. Everything is so different from the modern days but we love it. The hotspring is the best thing in such cold weather (0 degree). Both private and public bath are amazing (they are both indoors). If you are guest, even after you check out, you still have free access to the hotspring during that day. This hotel chain is quite big, they have other few different locations in Hakone. if you want to try other hotsprings, you can get the hotel to organize for you (They are all free). Because it is too cold, we would rather stay where we were. The only downside of the room is NO HOT WATER !!! You pretty much need to use freezing water to wash your face, brush your teeth, it is quite terrible :( Another thing to mention is, no bathroom in the room, you need to go to the public one on your floor. They served breakfast in the morning, food is good but quite traditional, I am not too used to it.
