"A real find! A lovely guesthouse in a rural setting – a courtyard with flowers, birdsong, cocks (not nearby), and crickets – and yet just 10 minutes walk from the center (night market, etc.). Carefully arranged and looked after with tea and coffee if you wish to make yourself a cup, a particularly pleasant room and bathroom, and in the room a desk, a fresh clean bed and, thank goodness, no TV cluttering the space. To me it’s ideal and with its reasonable price, there is nothing more I could ask for. "

"I would definitely recommend this hotel because the staff is amazing and will likely find a way to make you have a pleasant stay if anything goes wrong. The hotel and the rooms are really quite nice but I should mention a few things. The rooms are large however some rooms are better than others. The first room we stayed in was on the bottom floor and it seemed to have a weird design flaw with the door that let mosquitos in (room 107). The room was also musty and had a slight smell of mold which made my allergies act up. It also didn’t get much light and felt a bit like we were in a dungeon. We asked to switch rooms and the staff was very accommodating. They showed us a few available rooms and eventually upgraded us to a much nicer room on the 2nd floor. This room was fantastic and we had a terrific stay for the next couple nights. At the end of the day, I would definitely stay here again as there probably aren’t much better options in town for the money."

"Arrived with easy enough check in with Jain. We were shown to the patio deck facing the river and given a fruit smoothie and a plate of local cut fruit to eat. Meanwhile, our bags were put in our room. After relaxing for a few minutes, we were shown our Room 102, just 2 doors down. Our room has a view facing the river with a deck to sit outside. This was a nice room with full view of the river, a nice comfy bed, flat screen TV, a little fuzzy on some stations, a shower room with view over the river, a modern sink, and a wc room. The sink could be used while the other rooms were in use. A very nice set up for 2 people sharing the room. Breakfast each morning was on the nearby patio facing the river. Many good choices, coffee, fruit shake, and cut fruits. Filling and nice. Quiet hotel away from the bustle of the old town, but easily walkable. Cheap dinners at Bamboo Restaurant back out on the main road to the right."

"To start with, I'm usually not a kind of person leaving a review. Since it was an awesome staying at this hotel, I can't help but write a review on my own. Although this hotel has recently been started about 3 months ago, I couldn't find any uncomfortable things to complain about. All staffs who are good at speaking English are super kind and also nicely treat every traveler. The manager from the states (remember he's from SF) takes care of every single tiny part regarding traveling and staying. Recommend attractions, restaurants, and so many others to see where the travelers should hit to in Luang Prabang. Plus, he eagerly searches and gets what the travelers want to have. If you don't mind saying in English, this hotel is going to be the best option when you go trip to Luang Prabang. I'm convincing the idea that the more you are fluent in English, the more you can get while staying at the hotel. "

"Wow! We loved Muangthong Boutique Hotel. From the moment we walked in, to the time we left, we were made to feel so utterly welcomed and respected. Oun, the manager could not have been more polite or helpful, even offering to take us out personally on his day off. Our room was extremely comfortable and the hotel was like being in an oasis. It was quiet but conveniently located within easy walking distance of the centre of town. The hotel is like Luang Prabang itself: very serene and laid back but with an overwhelming sense of spirit and reverence. It is simply a little haven in a heavenly place and we would recommend it to everyone and are looking forward to staying here again."

"We stayed here for 4 nights (extending from 2). Our tuk tuk driver had problems finding the place, and no one we asked had heard of it. We found out it's fairly new and behind another hotel (ask for Villa Namnuea). When we finally arrived, we found the hotel to be just what we needed, a beautiful spot in the heart of Luang Prabang. The rooms are large and clean, bathrooms are newly fitted and the hotel is centred around a beautiful lily pond. The staff brought us fruit juice every day, helped us book our bus to Vientiane, and were generally very helpful. The hotel is 5 minutes walk to the start of the night market, so it's a great location too. "

"Luang Prabang is a wonderful town with fabulous temples and wonderful french colonial architecture. The hotel is very close to the center of the town where you will find the Museum and Night market. Better restaurants are a little ways away (about 15 minutes walk and further). The hotel also gives close access 25 m to an Arts center. Highly recommended town and the hotel is a good base to explore it."
