Desperate need of renovation”

This property is pretty dire, desperately needs renovations and updating. Tiles falling off in the bathroom, old old furniture, sheets are too heavily bleached (guess that means they are clean though). It could be ok if turned into something more appealing and it's really not that cheap. Location is good right in the center of town and walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and Civic Center. Seemed relatively clean despite the age of everything, carpet should be dumped and fake wood vinyl floor or similar laid. Jan, the Receptionist is absolutely lovely, she deserves to be running something better. It's very deceiving as you think the rooms are going to be above the pub, but you have to walk through an alleyway around the back to a pre bag building that looks like a complete flop house - such a shame.

Dated decor but very convenient”

Reception is in hotel, so short distance to rooms, my booking was not registered on arrival with manager so had to contact Agoda, this took some time. Motel rooms are old fashioned but comfortable.

Lovely quiet stay”

Very handy to coffee shops and lots of restaurants in the Main Street. Nothing flash but that is all we needed for a night's stay. It was clean and lovely and quiet.

Very enjoyable. Location was a real bonus being in the town centre. Undercover parking is free, but no good for large vehicles.

Good. Value for money. We were there only for one night but it was nice and close to good restaurant and in the middle of the centre. It was very clean and neat looking even though it is an old building

this motel was very clean and comfortable and in the centre of the town so very easy to get to everything. the staff were very friendly and helpful with advice. a lovely place to stay.
