We prefer Toyoko - Inn everytime we are having a vacation because of it's proximity to the station and restaurants.

Location is superb. Just 5 min walk to the right when you exit Odawara station. Size of room with twin beds was big enough for me and my wife and our baby, plus three other luggage and baby stroller in tow. Breakfast was great too. Had the usual saba fish for first morning and Japanese curry the second day. Only shortcoming is the patchy internet.

the service is not good, what's the point of checking in at 4pm when guests were supposed to check out at 10am and whats the point of making guests to wait until 4pm to take the room key when its already 330pm, and the room was actually already ready?!

3 min walk from odawara train and bus stations. We arrived at 1 PM from Tokyo and the staff was kind enough to let us leave our luggage at the concierge which gave us ample time to explore odawara. Room was clean and big enough for us. Breakfast was inclusive of the room charge.There were laundry machines and a dryer . It was a very good starting point for the hakone loop and gotemba premium outlet because of its proximity to the stations.

Few minuites from the station, free breakfast has limited choices but its complete. Room was bigger than i expected for a japanese hotel. Very near odawara castle. Lots of dinning option around the hotel. Good base for hakone and gotemba tour using hakone free pass, new and cheaper alternative for the hotels in hakone yumoto

Loved this new Toyoko Inn. Double room had comfortable big bed 160cm with space to walk around three sides easily and store big luggage under the bed. No step up into bathroom. Rain shower was great. Retractable clothesline. Quiet, convenient walk to station and castle. Breakfast adequate, nice toast with marmalade. Stored luggage for return stay for free.complimentary DHC face mask for ladies. If robes, comb, razor, soap required, self collect from lobby. Three prompt lifts. Washing machines downstairs

4 minutes walk from Odawara station, 10 minutes walk to Odawara castle. Good place for overnight to explore Hakone area. Room is clean, bed is a bit hard but comfortable. There are lots of restaurants around Free breakfast is a bonus! The hotel is new, however, the 4:00pm check-in is a bit inflexible

Stayed there for a night. We were in the twin room ... the room size were bigger to other hotel we stayed in our entire stay in Japan . The rooms were clean and the breakfast was ok. It is within 5 mins from Odawara station so good for people doing Hakone travel using the travel pass

Great location, helpful and friendly staff, clean and new facility”
We spent one night in this typical Japanese hotel: great location right in between the train station and Odawara castle, and smack middle of the town center (full of small restaurants, izakayas, hang out places). Our room was small but enough for two people with big bags. As usual in Japan, everything worked perfectly and was neatly designed and organized. The breakfast buffet, although better than what was advertised in the hotel premises, was frugal and noodle-oriented. The staff spoke reasonably good English and helped us out with our requests for information. We were allowed to leave our suitcases in the hall (under the reception staff’s guard) after checking out, so we could tour the city at ease. Ideal choice for a short stay.

Value for money..and the room is so clean..the hotel is new..and the most important is very near with subway station odawara..just -+200m..and have a mall and family mart around there..so i think is very good location and value for money..even the staff can't too much speaking English but no worries...just use Google translate for solve your problems...

Value for money, far from Hakone attractions”
The price is good. Hotel and new and clean. Very near to Odawara station and the castle. No bathrobes given, but not a big issue. Clever use of space in the room, can utilize space under the bed. Our issue was that it was quite far from other attractions in Hakone (the water shrine, pirate ship, volcano eggs and museum). Took a long bus ride to Lake Ashi. Coming back was tedious, took the cable car from volcano egg area, changed to a tram and then to train again. Tiring day with all the traveling.
