The staff were nice and friendly and very helpful, creating a customer friendly, experience above all else, so I recommend you stay here, and be sure to book a stay in the letter O this was a fabulous experience, with a high end finish to enjoy all amenities it provides, in style and comfort provided to you in the O Design creating a bespoke Interior Boutique Design with its Champagne views to end a long day. Wish Every city had a Botel Hotel Concept”
Great Idea really quirky. Very competitive very clean accommodation in the Centre of Amsterdam Great FREE ferry to and from Botel to Amsterdam Central Station ( Travel to anywhere in Netherlands/Europe) in addition ideally situated to catch a tram, bus or taxi to get anywhere in Amsterdam. All the staff are informative & friendly from my experience. I would recommend this to any/everyone Chris from Merthyr Tydfil

great hotel on a big boat”
the experience was great living in a big boat and using the ferry to access the hotel. But the room was so small but very clean, so it was ok to us. But the only not ok thing was additional gov tax that cost a lot for us.

Amazing hotel and perfect location!”
Perfect holiday for a little get away, family, friends or couple. Price is perfect, affordable and worth every penny. Very close to the centre, it is only a 8 min ferry ride which is free! Would recommend!

Staff lovely, and all areas on boat nice. However, walkway to boat (pier) has metal bolts sticking out of concrete, so safer to walk on road area as no cars use it much, also if going when dark a torch is handy as it is quite dark

To wake up and look outside to all the boats was lovely and to then get onto the ferry every morning was so refreshing The staff are very friendly I was shocked by the price I paid for this hotel so much cheaper than what I would’ve thought it would be

Beautiful little area away from the city. About a 10 minute free ferry away! You get it from outside the train station. Definitely come stay here

After reading some comments, I was ready for the worst stay, but Amstel Botel surprised me. The room was clean, the food was fresh and the personnel was helpful, I got everything I needed and it didn't take a lot of time. The free of charge ferry has a convenient schedule. If you go to Amsterdam not for staying in the hotel during the whole day, I would recommend it.

Fab base for a weekend in Amsterdam”
Booked the Botel to try it out for a weekend with the girls. Our room had a double bed, it was basic with a compact bathroom cubicle - but all clean. Weather was cold and wet during our stay but the radiator heated up quickly and made room feel cosy. Just what we needed to come back to after a day around the city. We were 1 level down from reception and could see the NSDM ferry come and go. Breakfast salon and bar is located on the same level as the reception area. Breakfast is a combi of continental spread ie cheese, ham, smoked salmon, salad, pate, preserves, toast and pastries, and some cooked food consisting of bacon, sausages, beans, boiled eggs. Our room was a deal that included breakfast and for that the fare offered was ok. If I had booked room only I would not have paid £12 pp for the breakfast. In that case we would have grabbed breakfast at the small cafe by the ferry pier. The Botel is basic but had everything we needed. We will come back.

Pros: Good location, Free breakfast, Comfy bed, Near ferry terminal, Hot water, Tv, Bar and slot machines near reception. You can go atop the ship on the deck and enjoy the views. Staff were helpful. Cons: Small shower but it was adequate for me, No gym, No room service but can order for food delivery, Door keycard had to be reprogrammed twice coz it clashed with my mobile phone.

Am glad that I chose the Botel, it is a 12minute ferry ride (free) to Central Station but so quiet so sleep is not a problem. Breakfast was also good with cooked bacon, sausage and beans or cold continental. Yes full marks. Mick from England

The Botel exceeded our expectations, as we were very realistic when booking budget accommodation on a disused ferry! It was clean, comfortable and everything you need to sleep and have a bit of breakfast. That’s just it in a nutshell. You can eat dinner at the Pollux which right opposite, over the walkway and is fab. You need to get the free ferry to the heart of Amsterdam which runs every half hour and takes 10-15 minutes, we found this no bother, it literally takes you from the back of the Botel and drops you at central station, from there you can walk it, train it, tram it, whatever. We managed to see everywhere on foot and enjoyed every moment. I would stay at the Botel again.

Good location just a short ferry ride (free) from central station. Staff were great, we arrived before check in and were able to leave our bags in a locked room so we could get straight out and enjoy the day. Very impressed for the price
