Staff was amazing, you were treated as visiting family. Traveling the distance from Saladan Pier well worth the effort. Excellent beach, beach front cabin AC perfect, restaurant/bar great atmosphere, food preparation on par with 5 star establishment, looking forward to a return visit when we next visit Thailand

It is a good place to get a way from the hectic city like BKK. I got surprise with service to pick you up at the peer. Food there was nice and fresh fish was amazing..

Peaceful retreat in a lovely quiet location ”
Excellent views from our beachfront bungalow. It was bigger than expected, staff were friendly and helpful. Really good for relaxing and food is excellent in the restaurant. We hired a bike from there with no issue and explored the island. Would definitely return.

Very very friendly and helpful staff, near to bamboo beach, nice restaurant. Motorbikes available which are needed to explore the island. We enjoyed it very much there

Scooter needed since far away from local restaurants, nice and quiet with great beach, good restaurant with resort prices Good location if you like quiet, many daytrippers come to this beach so it is more active in day Nice sunset views

Lovely quiet beach uncrowded and awesome view from the restaurant. Difficult to swim because a lot of stones. Lots of monkeys roaming around. Agoda advertising the rooms with a capacity for 3 (a double + a single) for the hillside bungalows is not included in the price, I had to pay for an extra bed. Towel change and cleaning only every other day.

Hillside bungalows are no Bungalows but a house with four rooms!”
We had rent a hillside bungalow for 8 days, but there are no hillside bungalows, only two houses with four rooms, in one is living the stuff too. Tht means you hear everything from the other families, couples and stuff, even their breathing. Changing to a bungalow was impossible, we asked again and again. We left than after 7 days, getting back no money, not from baan phu lae, not from agoda, so we had payed mor than 400 € too much.

Bad experience”
We stayed here hoping for a final 5 days of relaxation at the end of our trip. The location is super and very quiet....but....we were met by the rudest young lady we have encountered in Thailand which set the mood for our stay. The cabins are rustic (read run down) and ours had a really bad septic smell. No utensils, cups or water. You buy everything at the restaurant which has ok food but very expensive. Towels were changed once in 5 days, monkeys steal everything. If you insist on staying here, rent scooters at the ferry as the taxi is a rip off. Plus you can go into the nearest town and not pay the hostage prices at the restaurant. Some reviews say they love it, i don't think they have travelled elsewhere in Thailand. Way overpriced and rude reception sums it up for me...but the great location is somewhat a compromise.

No wifi in room, the hill going down to the hotel is really steep, nothing around the hotel, the hillside room b1 is not nice. No refrigerator or water pressure in shower. It sucked and we left as soon as the sun was up .

Great local, food and staff”
Very basic accommodations but laid back and perfect. The food was excellent and the staff were amazing. So kind to us and our kids. Bamboo beach is off the beaten path and away from the crowds. Beautiful.

Great value... The cabins were basic but clean and had everything we needed. The hotel staff were great (Thanks Nick!) and even though the hotel is a little far away from other amenities, it is on the prettiest beach on the island and Ban Phu Lae’s restaurant was excellent! I would go back.

Simple beach front accommodation on the last beach on the west side of Koh Lanta before the national park. Lovely helpful staff and beautiful remote location. Not the place to stay if you want to travel around/see lots of Koh Lanta & go out to restaurants/bars (unless you've very happy driving a motorbike around twisty steep island roads in the dark) but perfect for a secluded beach get away.

A peaceful place in a superb environment”
For people how seek a relaxing and peaceful place this is recommended. No parties, very helpful and friendly family who run the resort (Thank you Grace and family!!). We enjoyed our stay so much and hope to come back soon.

We absolutely loved our stay at Baan Puh Lae! Great staff, amazing food, beautiful beach (only downside: not so much shadow...), basic but clean bungalows right at the beach - good choice for people who are looking for a very relaxed and peaceful location & atmosphere in Koh Lanta.

Wonderful holiday”
We had a wonderful 5 day stay in the very nice hillside bungalow. Perfect location in Bamboo Bay - very quiet place, beautiful nature, very close to the National Park. Staff is really kind and helpful, everything was very well organized (snorkling tour, motocycle, transfers). You can join the tours by boat directly from the beach. Great reastaurant - the food was the best we had in Thailand (also vegetarian and western food is available). You can see many monkeys, butterflies, birds, geccos and monitor lizards close to the place.
