I loved being right on the beach and also close to the little village. Klong Dao Beach is one of the best. I really like the friendliness of Cha Ba. It is beautifully colourful and not pretentious, and very reasonably priced. We just loved our time there. The island is gorgeous, and very close to other beautiful islands to explore, such as Phi Phi and Bamboo Islands.

This resort is not being taken care of. 75% of the area looks like a dump, with no-one looking after the ”garden”. The breakfast ”buffet” was awful, with cold fried eggs and pancakes, things not being refilled until a guest asks for it etc. The persons workimg there are polite but simply has no idea of how to do things. But the main problem is the management of the Hotel, who seems to try and get a lot of money out of the resort but without investing. The room (pool suite) was ok, but overprized during peak season (We compared with other resorts while there). The ”normal” rooms are not ok, our Friends had problems with their toilet and also showers did not provide hot water. The pool is ok but the pool area offers NO Sun beds (only a few chairs), the concrete around the pool is cracked etc. The only really good thing about the Hotel is the location right at the beach, but there are many other alternatives that I would prefer - I would not recommend Cha-Ba to anyone.

Bad hotel, wasting my money”
We originally booked a triple room seaview and a Pool front family room quadruple room, we have a total of 7 adults and a child, when we checked in, the hotel informed us that the previous guest in the Pool Suite room continued to extend, so we cannot get the Pool Suite room. We had online full payment a month ago, why the hotel also rented the room to others, and changed us to three triple rooms, we have children, it is inconvenient to separate. The next thing is, there was a problem with the air conditioning in the all three rooms, it was delayed until around 9pm in the evening to help us change the room. We been changed to a double room with a sea view and a triple room with two extra beds, the air conditioning in the double room with sea view is still problematic. This hotel gave me unsatisfactory experience, I did not receive the services that I deserve, for such a high accommodation fee. Me and my family are not enjoying this holiday at all because this hotel ruins our holiday moods. Conclusion, this hotel is not worth staying.

We arrived one day and they didn't want to keep the price stipulated in Agoda reservation. ”
After having us waiting for about 30 mins they agreed to let us keep the price, but at the next day, they told us that the room had duplicated its price, so we had to leave the room. Very bad experience

Nice bungalow with great location ”
We stayed at a deluxe bungalow and it was very clean, big and great located. Unfortunately we didn’t have WiFi in the bungalow. It is directly at the beach and close to the main road with several restaurants. It has a great pool. The stuff was always really helpful and friendly. All in all we recommend the Hotel.

Staff was friendly and helpful but pool and room were quite dirty. Wifi didn’t work (not a big deal) but for the price, I’d expect an overall better experience.

Clean nice hotel on the beach, needs improvement ”
+The hotel is very nice, beautiful location on the beach. +The rooms were very clean, bed sheets were changed every 2 days. +The staff was very friendly and willing to help. +The food at the Picasso restaurant was very tasty. -At reception only one employee spoke English. At the restaurant only 2 waitresses out of about 10 in total. That made the communication very difficult, especially because the majority of the guests were foreigners. -The staff at reception had very little real knowledge about the different tours. They only knew who to contact to book these tours. As a result in we went on a longtail boat tour with children, when the weather was getting stormy. This put us in danger, and could have been avoided if the staff had some idea about it. - The service at the restaurant was slow. We rarely got our meals together. Dishes were forgotten, or came too late. The staff was obviously not professional, and very unorganized. - The water in the pool was dirty.

Family friendly and comfortable but way overpriced”
Staff and family friendliness score top marks. Thank you ladies for taking such good care of our 13 month old Elizabeth. Generally the place is relaxed and artily decorated, but the rooms are somewhat impractical, little clothes space, tiny towel rail, etc. Restaurant a little thrown together and run down, too much naked concrete around the pool, but nice pool (a little cloudy). Menu not cheap and food mediocre. If this place was around 40-50EUR I would give it good marks, but aiming at 100 EUR up to 170EUR per night is bound to cause disappointment. Good thing with these prices, the place was half empty and we had the whole beachfront room row to ourselves for 10 days.

Very nice hotel to come with young children. Our room is family room 1 big bed 2 single bed got swimming pool right at our room. Hotel close to the beach close to the main road & 7-11. Restaurant & bar right on the beach some day you can get very nice Sunset.

we got family room right at the swimming pool. right on the beach. Hotel is need abit clean around hotel but understand is low seasons. Restaurant & Bar very nice to sit for Sunset. we very enjoy to stay here with kids good Value for money and hotel good locations not far to go out to main road.

Cha ba ticks all the boxes ”
Our stay at cha ba was the highlight of our trip in terms of accommodation. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Cocktails are delicious and the food is great. The rooms were spacious and for the price very luxurious.

I stayed in a superior bungalow for a week. The room was large and clean and it had AC. I stayed close to the beach so the noise from the mosque was barely audible. Wifi was strong in the room. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant had a nice breakfast included in the room rate. The location is right on the beach which was beautiful. I had a very nice stay.

Disappointing”
Looking on the pictures i was prepared that it all will be not very new and modern, but we were looking more for the atmosphere so were sold on a colorful pictures. We spent our worst night in Thai there and it cost us more than 40 Eur. Basic bungalow smells old and dusty, and its impossible to get some fresh air inside, bad and mattras are very old, would be better to sleep on the floor, we had only one quite ok pillow other one was a stone, huge black bugs even inside the 'net', very bad if cleaned toilet, breakfast awful, limited fruit not fresh, no juice - colored water, coffee from a bag . But the worst of all its that personal is aware of all the problems, and they are using the lower price of that basic bungalows to book with them. Next morning we were offered to upgrade for extra money. I felt myself fooled, its very unpleasant feeling on a vacation.

A great getaway ”
I stayed at Cha-Ba 3 nights with my friend and we enjoyed our stay there very much! The location is awesome, around 5 min from the pier, directly at the beach, there are several restaurant around, the staff is very helpful...we were very happy and we would very likely return
