Highly recommended locally owned eco resort on Koh Lanta”
I stayed at Green Pepper for a few days while exploring Koh Lanta. The resort is beautifully decorated and the room itself is very comfortable and spacious for 1-2 people. Services were limited since I visited during low season, but it was kind of like having the space all to myself. Maayan, the owner, is incredibly welcoming, understanding of individual travelers’ needs, and super passionate about the local community. She basically serves as your personal travel agent while in Koh Lanta and can easily provide recommendations for almost everything and travel arrangements. She also is able to book you on some very local tours/excursions which are super unique (kayaking in the northern part of the island which is only residential for locals, fishing with locals, etc). Communication with her is incredibly easy. The location of the resort is tucked away in an inside street on the western part of the island, so having transportation is highly recommended as there is really nothing within comfortable walking distance of the resort. Old town is about a 20-30 minute drive away. It also may be difficult to drive around the immediate area of the resort at night since there are no lights on the roads. They do have motorbikes available on site to rent. I would highly recommend this resort for travelers looking for a beautiful, relaxing place to stay while experiencing local life on Koh Lanta. Just FYI: keep in mind that it is in a jungle-y area, so there will be some critters that sneak into the room and be prepared for mosquitoes.

Lovely place! Good people! ”
The place is now called green pepper with new owner (lovely couple - good people). Enjoyed our stay there very much! You should rent a scooter to explore the island and green pepper is a great homebase. Those guys know the island very well and will give you advice if you need it. Would come back any time. Room was super clean, beer was cold and you can get free water refills (keeps the country clean and your whistle wet = win/win!)

Beautiful setting & amazing staff”
We booked to stay here for 3 nights and as soon as we arrived we decided to extend it to 6. The place was immaculately clean and we were greeted by very welcoming and helpful staff. The location is slightly off the track so this is really a place for people who are happy to use a moped. It was our second time in Koh Lanta but between the staff and the owners we managed to do tons of stuff we hadn't seen on the island last time around! Every night we were given ideas of places to eat, from a local unnamed street joint to a fancy beach side restuarant. Everything was made so easy for us. We went on a kayaking tour which we highly recommend and lots of beaches. The owner of the place has a cooking class named 'Cooking with Mon' - we booked onto it and were not dissapointed. Mon is a fantastic teacher and great fun to cook with. We came away with our bellies full and a fantastic selection of recipes which we can't wait to cook at home. You have the style and the glamour of a fancy hotel in your room but the social vibe is much better than those of the hotels on the beach. Highly recommend to anyone! Couples, families & friends.

NICE RESORT ON MOUNTAIN-TOP”
We arrived with kids, clean bungalows with good design, comfortable interiers, beatifull garden with herbs and shade, good coffee, rest place with hamaka, good coffee, out of road so pretty calm area with pleasant wind.... owners very friendly and gave us usefull advices..... will come again .... jan

Very warm welcome and stay! This is the perfect place in paradise”
We just booked for 1 night ut eventually stayed there for 4 nights. The rooms are very nice and well designed. Its very spacious and comfortable. The owner and the staff are like family and take care of everything. Many thanks to Chai, Mayaan, Lisa and not to forget Lilly who cooked us a wunderfull diner whoch we shared with the green pepper family. The dinner together was absolutely great and charming. We had two happy kids during our stay and they coukd play with everyone and with a lot of toys. I can recommend here to everybody since its the best.

Precious gem with friendliest hosts”
Maayan and Mon built something very special right in the green heart of the island. They are super nice and open people, who make you feel at home from the second you enter their property. Plus: they know everything about the island and help you out with whatever you need to know - whenever you need to know it. Even when you aren’t with them, you can write a message with your need or question and Maayan gives you the answer you are looking for. The location is perfect, if you are looking for relaxed holidays, off the beaten tracks. And with the scooter (it’s 200 baht per day directly from green pepper) you are in 2 minutes at the main road, where you find all the beaches. The location is so great because you’re near to a lively neighborhood with cafes, restaurants and a 7-eleven etc. on the west coast, but you’re also on a road that leads to the east, to explore old town etc. We stayed for 7 nights and also visited Mon‘s cooking class which was super fun and casual — and of course super delicious! As well as their breakfast: the smoothie bowl tastes amazing! We would love to stay there again, when we revisit Koh Lanta and we would highly recommend the little oasis.

Beautiful and Relaxed”
We stayed at Green Pepper for 9 days and really enjoyed it. The room is just as pictured with great decor. It was very clean. Mayan and Mon have great attention to detail, gave great suggestions. While there, we went on a tour via long boat with residents of Koh Poh, kayaking in the mangroves, ate at wonderful places, and relaxed in scenic locations. The one downside was that it is located off of a dirt road and you most likely need your own transportation to get around but also, the road is tough to navigate if you're used to all paved roads. We fell in love with the street dogs that hang around there. Feed them and they will become your best friends. :)

Very kind owner! They can organize awesome trips for you and have very good recommendations for the area. Friendly atmosphere and a nice common room to meet other traveler. Highly recommended!

Lovely space close to Pra Ae”
We only stayed for one night but the place was very beautiful and well decorated. The owners were amazingly kind and reactive whenever we had a question or needed a service. The location is a bit outside and the road was under work when we stayed, so it made it a bit trickier to access, otherwise we liked the fact it was farther from the main road. The only room for improvement I could see is better mosquito nets/protection, as our mosquito door wasn't closing properly. A net above the bed could be another solution :)

Lovely friendly place to stay”
The accommodation is very good, especially for the price. It's a bit of a walk to the beach, about 30 mins but we like walking and it means you are in a nice location, away from the main tourist accommodation. There is a really nice 'communal ' feel to breakfast, which is delicious. Most of all, Chai, who looks after guests is so lovely. All in all a great place to stay.

Our hosts gave great suggestions for activities in Koh Tao despite COVID. The only downside is that you need a car or moped to get anywhere.

Owners were extremely kind and helpful! Rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable. Location was lovely, but you’ll defiantly need some kind of transportation to get to and from any action! Awesome place - hope to be back at some point!

Très déçu ”
Nous nous sommes basés sur les photos et nous avons était très déçu, mauvais odeur dans la chambre à notre arriver et persistante jusqu'au lendemain, idem pour le linge de lit et les serviette, à part la déco de la chambre l'hôtel en lui-même n'a pas beaucoup d'intérêt, aussi bien niveau décoration extérieur qu'au niveau de l'emplacement....

Accueil extraordinaire !”
Nous avons été accueillis de manière exceptionnelle par Chai qui a répondu à nos demandes de la meilleure des manières. Nous avons pu compter sur lui pour obtenir les meilleures adresses de Koh Lanta, de l'aide lorsque nous en avons eu besoin (petite panne de scooter), et pour organiser la suite de notre voyage. Les chambres, spacieuses, sont décorées avec goût et très propre. Les espaces communs sont agréables. Seul petit bémol, l'emplacement, mais l'hôtel loue des scooters neufs à bas prix directement sur place.

Hier kann man sich einfach nur wie zuhause fühlen! Tolle Gemeinschaftsbereiche und unglaublich nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Man erhält eine liebevoll gestaltete Mappe mit Infos zu Koh Lanta und möglichen Aktivitäten, die man direkt im Green Pepper buchen kann. Vor allem den Kochkurs bei Mon sollte man mitmachen! Gut gefallen hat uns auch das Frühstück, die 2 Gerichte die zur Auswahl stehen erscheinen zuerst ein bisschen wenig, sind aber unglaublich lecker, frisch und vor allem günstig! Auf Nachfrage kann man auch etwas anderes erhalten. Die Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll und modern gestaltet, auch die Sitzmöglichkeiten vor den Zimmern und die Gemeinschaftsbereiche haben uns unheimlich gut gefallen, alles sehr liebevoll! Die Lage ist leider etwas abseits vom Strand und Restaurants, dafür hat man seine Ruhe. Alles ist zudem mit dem Roller oder günstigen Tuktuks schnell zu erreichen. Hier sollte man unbedingt seine Zeit auf Koh Lanta verbringen!

Fantastische Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage umgeben von der Natur”
Schöne kleine Anlage mit nur wenigen gut ausgestatteten Gästehäusern inmitten grüner Natur, ca. 1,5 km vom Strand Long Beach entfernt für einen unschlagbar guten Preis. Wir haben dort eine wunderschöne Woche verbracht. Die Inhaber Richard und Jub sind absolut liebenswert und tun alles, damit die Gäste sich wohlfühlen. Darüberhinaus bieten sie eine fantastische deutsche und auch Thaiküche an. Aufgrund dessen kamen auch Gäste aus auswärtigen Hotels . Dieses Haus können wir unbedingt empfehlen !

Bodde på Greenpepper i tre nätter. Mycket nöjda. Fräscht ställe. Bra frukost. Hälsofruktskål - gott! Välstädat. 200 bath för en moppe 24h. 7-10 minuter till flera restauranger. Moppe ett måste.

We werden super ontvangen door medewerker Chai die ons alle nodige info en tips gaf. Hierna kregen we ook al direct een sleutel van de scooters die voor ons ter beschikking werden gesteld voor een schappelijke prijs. De sfeer was super, er was een soort van gemeenschappelijke ruimte buitenshuis waar een grote tafel stond en waar je met andere bewoners kon babbelen. Er waren ook hangmatten en er stond ook gratis drinkwater, koffie en thee ter beschikking. Het huisje waar we verbleven was ook supergezellig, zeer sfeervol ingericht, proper en alles was voorzien. Voor vragen konden we altijd bij Chai of bij de eigenaars Mayaan en Mon terecht. Met die laatste hebben we trouwens een cooking class gedaan “Cooking with Mon”. Ook zeer de moeite! Hoewel we oorspronkelijk maar 3 nachten hadden geboekt, zorgde dit eiland en deze accomodatie ervoor dat we nog 2 nachten hebben bijgeboekt. Bedankt Chai, Mayaan en Mon voor de heerlijke tijd in Green Pepper! Groetjes Marianne & Stefan
