Instead of wishing I could stay longer, I actually did.”
Beautifully maintained property. Quite more expansively laid out than imagined. Yet still felt intimate. Staff was very well trained. Almost too much. If that makes sense. Ideal location. Very clean and safe beach front. Food was good. Would recommend to keep it as local and authentic as possible and not adjusted to foreigners. Their papaya salad was most excellent. Breakfast was plentiful. Didn't mind walking up the hill to it for that incredible view. They also offer shuttle service. Didn't take as it felt less organic. Their pools are a wonderful. The view onto the Andaman Sea is spectacular. But this is where a detail was missing. Being at the edge of those pools (especially the hillside pool) and immersed beyond beauty you're reminded of reality by seeing an unkept and poorly landscaped section of the property. Some details could be sorted out but during this time of Covid hesitant travellers, Pimalai went above expectations. Offering as much possible during this economically challenging times for the travel industry. A challenge is to create this balance between a barefoot chill resort with the formality that comes with standards at the same time. Thank you Pimalai! Was absolutely divine. xxo

Wow, what a place. This is the top of the food chain. The lush natural landscape and hardly a notice of that fact that you are surrounded by a massive Hotel, property. It blends in so well. The service is the best I've ever come across in my travel. They are there to assist you with anything they can that comes with your stay here. And beyond. So ask. Went to the spa. Worth every penny. Again the best spa treatments I've ever recieved. The breakfast is off the chart. Daily it is one of the best meals at any hotel I've been too. Lunch by the pool or beach was amazing. Room service meals. Fantastic. We had pizza and pasta Carbonara one night. It turned our room into a Iltalian deli on The Spanish Steps. The preparation. The quality was amazing. I'm really disappointed we did not have dinner at the main room as I know the Chef's are some of the best money can hire. Of course our room was a treat beyond belief. AMAZING Top 5 resorts in all of Thailand”
Recently stayed at Pimalai as part of my honeymoon to Thailand. It was the nicest hotel we had stayed at. Attention to detail was amazing! Literally you never went without. Fresh pool towels brought to your lounge chair, a fresh glass of water that was constantly refilled. This place is 5+ star all the way. Clean, comfortable. Amazing rooms, hot showers. The beds were not ridiculously hard like the rest of Thailand. The food was top notch, others said it was expensive but coming from the US we didn’t think the prices were any higher than at home. Did I mention it’s a 5 star resort? That’s expected. The pools are divine. The beach is super nice and private. The staff is amazing! We’ve traveled around the world and this has to be top 3 nicest hotels we’ve stayed at, and we’ve stayed in penthouses in NYC. Stay here, you will love it! I couldn’t say enough amazing things about it!!!

Highlight of my trip”
Beautiful property. Extremely accommodating. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Honestly, I’m not sure where to start with a review of our stay here. I will say we took advantage of the airport transfer service, the spa, 3 of the restaurants, the sunrise mangrove tour, both pools, aerial yoga class, taxi service to a nearby cave trek, fitness center, activities center and happy hour at the beach bar, and the FREE breakfast buffet (to die for).They have everything you need to have an awesome stay in Koh Lanta. That being said, I had a great time getting out of the resort and exploring nearby areas of the island. It’s a little far from the main touristy attractions further north of the island but if you love nature they are right near the national park (maybe in the National Park?). Plenty of beautiful beaches and trees nearby. Can’t recommend enough. If you’re on the fence because of the price— splurge on this one. You won’t regret it.

Great hotel with exceptional service”
We stayed at Pimalai for 3 weeks in March/April 22 and really enjoyed it. Everything was perfect, from the location with lush gardens, to its pools, sandy beach, room furnishings and cleanliness, great breakfast and other food, and extraordinary service by the friendly hotel staff. The only downside for us as scuba divers was that currently they don't have a dive operation starting from the Pimalai's floating jetty (Lanta Divers is great but only has a booking office in the hotel) and we had to be driven all the way to Saladan for scuba diving. Quite inconvenient to be picked up early at 7am for a bumpy 40min car ride when you could have started at 8 from the hotel after enjoying the great breakfast. This will hopefully change soon. Nevertheless, we will definitely come back.

A true 5star resort all the way!”
Everything about this resort is a true 5 stars! From when we emailed each other to when they picked us up and we waited for our rooms to our breakfast to lunch to dinner and All the way to check out ...all had been consistently 5 stars all the way! My boyfriend is usually not impressed with the amount of money we paid and where we stayed but with this resort he is super happy all the way 100%! This resort has very happy respectful and amazing people. They are super consistent with their greetings to us from managements to front desk to servers to housekeeping to gardeners to their engineers...very very respectful which means that they are all super happy with their jobs and take pride where they work👍👍👍 Our hotel stay was a total of a little bit over $1500 usd and our acured expenses for food and drinks and transportation was $309....so it’s about 20%. That was excellent because that’s how it is suppose to be...these other resorts we went to we’re all super expensive

Wonderful each and every time ”
This was my family’s 3rd trip to this resort, and each time we come we realize we aren’t interested in trying anywhere else. The best part might be the amazing breakfast and Outstanding service, including transportation to and from the airport. Harris was especially helpful when we were at the beach. In Room dining service is great! Very prompt and the clean up afterwards which is good for families who don’t want to haul the kids to a restaurant. Patrons of those restaurants should be grateful!

Our Favorite Place to Stay in Thailand”
Pimalai was our favorite resort in Thailand. Located on the Southern end of Koh Lanta, the resort is secluded, yet it still maintains reach to a few restaurants and businesses (you can walk along the beach to Same Same But Different and the Why Not Bar). We enjoyed our two night stay in a deluxe room, which was thoughtfully laid out and included a covered porch, bedroom with a couch, and open bathroom with a full size jacuzzi tub, and separate shower and toilet. Houskeeping came twice daily to tidy up, unless we requested otherwise. The resort offers a full service space, fitness center, restaurants, and access to beach toys such as stand up paddle boards. We enjoyed happy hour w/stunning views from the upper infinity pool/restaurant. We enjoyed the included breakfast buffet which included made to order coffee drinks, and a wide array of Eastern and Western options. We appreciated the ease of getting to the resort with the airport pick up and private speedboat ride. Top notch service!

Amazing pools, room, food and hospitality. ”
We lucked out due to the virus on prices. But if you can afford this place on a regular day, I highly recommend. Basic rooms were the best I’ve seen with an amazing tub and large comfy bed, I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was clean. Staff were all very pleasant! Food at Banyan Cafe was delicious and reasonably priced For those who might be on a budget. Upper pool was FANTASTIC!!!! Gorgeous views and great aesthetics!

I traveled to Pimalai with a friend in January 2020. We stayed for four nights but wish we could have stayed much longer. The resort is beautiful, with thoughtful touches throughout. The staff was wonderful, always friendly and helpful. We took two excursions - the snorkel trip to Koh Rok and the sunset cruise to Koh Haa. Both were very well done, and we loved them! The trip to Koh Rok was especially fantastic, with a delicious lunch grilled on-board the boat. I'm already looking forward to a return trip to the resort. The only thing I would do differently is request an upstairs room, as we had upstairs neighbors with a very heavy tread. Otherwise, our stay was beyond wonderful!

AMAZING HOTEL IN THAILAND ”
This hotel surpassed all of our expectations. We arrive in Thailand every year - already 20years, so it iwas our 20th stay in this nice country. We know many 5* hotels there and most of them are great. However this hotel has something extra. My wife and I had a feeling of utter exclusivity here. Why?: - it is amazing hotel on the beach in beautiful place in Koh Lanta. - All our staff took care of us as a VIP. The all service was on 6* level. We have the same kind of service only in one very famous hotel in Bangkok( MO). - All restaurants and food we ate was very tasty and delicious. - So everthg was great here.

Incredible views with very happy, polite, and attentive staff. We typically do excursions but decided to stay at the resort and had an incredible time! Food was delicious. Perfect weather in December. Even on leaving, the speedboat ride to their private dock on the mainland was the most comfortable boat ride I’d had all vacation. I hope I get the chance to come back

The resort is great, deluxe room is big with bathtub , good design bring convenience staying. People here is very friendly, support. The trip is my lady birthday, so everyone here knew that and said Happy Birthday to her, quite surprise and delight; delicious foods here. Beach water is not so clear in this period but quite clean beach.

Quite simply the greatest hotel we have ever stayed in. Immaculate, quiet, intimate but still connected. Staff were attentive and polite and knew all the guest’s names. Great bars and restaurants a short walk away on the beautiful beach. Pool villas are unbelievably luxurious. Food was great. Could go on and on. Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a longer trip to celebrate our honeymoon and already hoping to make it back one day. Best decision you will ever make. It might sound like I’m coming off a little strong here, but it’s how we both feel. We didn’t want to leave!

Almost Perfect”
Pimalai is the best resort I have stayed at. They get most things right and when they don’t the fix it straight away. We loved their ethos and approach to life. They are very green (refillable water and no plastic onsite) and encourage as all to disconnect from our phones and respect other guests. Smoking is allowed only in certain areas which means you can lay by he beach or pool and breath the fresh air of the ocean. At Pimilai it is easy to stop and relax! The facilities are great (the infinity pool is breathtaking and very hard to leave), rooms beautiful and very clean and it is a very professional and well run place. The thing that really tops it off is the people. They are friendly and really good at their jobs and are genuinely proud to work at Pimalai. Special mention to Zafe on the front desk who handled a very difficult situation with empathy, humanity and a sense of humour. Thank you Zafe your sensitivity and professionalism ensured we had a fantastic stay! We’ll be back!

5 stars from top to bottom!!! Super friendly and helpful staff. Location is absolutely beautiful. The view from the large upper pool and restaurant is absolutely breathtaking!! We enjoyed cocktails by the upper pool in the afternoon and then went for a 5 star meal at the restaurant in the evening. Service and food quality was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent. Overall the Pimalai is the best resort I have stayed at in Thailand. Fantastic!!!

I mean... paradise. The room was stunning. The grounds were stunning. The staff was friendly and professional. The spa and massage were amazing. They think of everything. We especially appreciated how they arranged for us to have a space to shower and change after check-out so we could still enjoy the day. While the daily breakfast was amazing with lots of variety, the lunch and dinner menus at the hotel-restaurants were just OK. Wish I had explored the local restaurants down the beach. Other than that, would have stayed a month if I could.

Exceptional experience”
We had the most amazing stay at this resort. It was our honeymoon and we were very happy we chose Pimalai! Everything was wonderful - from the beautifully designed room, to the right-temperature infinity pools, restaurants serving great food and wine (we tried all 4), to amazingly courteous, helpful and caring staff. They must have incredible management behind the scenes because everything functions so smoothly and efficiently - yet so effortlessly! We loved this place and we will be back!
