Our return visit to Thai Smile Bungalows was everything we expected and more. It is the perfect place for relaxation- the bungalows are beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. The gardens create a wonderful ambiance and a little oasis - so close to the local amenities and beaches but also so peaceful. Dave and Lek are excellent hosts and will help in any way they can to ensure your stay is just what you want! FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD! Couldn’t think of eating anywhere else while staying here. The food is amazing and cooked freshly by Lek. We tried so many of the dishes on the menu & daily specials - every bite eaten was delicious. Breakfast is also available at any time of the day - also delicious. Koh Lanta is full of lovely beaches and many are within walking distance of Thai Smile - otherwise, easily reached - for us - by tuk tuk. If you are visiting Koh Lanta this is definitely the place to stay for relaxation and excellent food. Thanks to Dave, Lek, Koy & Dolla, a great team!

Absolutely everything about our stay at Thai Smile Bungalows was wonderful - not a single complaint! Dave, Lek, and their staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Super nice people! The property is small, and the bungalows are quite near to each other, but the way that they've landscaped with beautiful flowers and trees make each unit feel secluded and private. The on-site restaurant is phenomenal and it's incredibly convenient to walk 10 steps to order food and drink rather than venturing off-property. As other reviews have mentioned, the food is first-class! The units are clean, modern, and well-appointed. The grounds are quiet and peaceful, but close enough to walk to a number of nearby facilities (dining, ATMs, laundry, health clinic, corner store, etc.) in <2 minutes. It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach, which is home to a stretch of laid-back beach bars. You're able to rent scooters right there at the property. I highly recommend Thai Smile!

Perfect little getaway after arriving from crowded Phi Phi. Thai Smiles was less than a 20 min ride from Ban Saladan Pier. Dave was super hospitable and gave us the lowdown on the island. We took his advice and rented a scooter from him which was easy and seamless. The bungalows were spacious, air conditioned and had everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel at least! They even had someone come everyday to clean our rooms and fill our toiletries, I didn’t expect that since this was my first time booking on Agoda homes. The location was great for riding. 15 mins each way to the north got you to Long Beach, perfect for swimming. 15 mins south to Old Town Lanta, cute lil place with a long pier. Wish we stayed here instead of Phi Phi. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant which I’m sure would’ve been amazing as well. Also if you want to see monkeys, you might be in for a surprise :) Highly recommend!!!!

Lovely bungalow area with gorgeous gardens, koi pond and water features. Bungalows are very clean and have all the amenities. Really loved the back deck areas in the deluxe rooms! The true gem is the restaurant though. Great menu and the absolute best Thai food we have had on this trip! The proprietors go out of their way to make your stay warm and comfortable. Excellent customer service. Laundry and scooter bike rental available. Easy walk to beach and stores. Thanks Dave and Leck for a great visit !!!

Thai Smile Bungalows was everything we hoped it would be and more. We arrived planning only to stay one night before we moved on to a more southern stay on the island but were so impressed by the beautifully manicured gardens, the clean room, and the hospitality that Dave bestowed upon us when we arrived that we decided to stay another night and did not regret it. The food was delicious and we were happy to find many beachside bars nearby that we could spend time relaxing and enjoying some reggae music. Dave also can rent you a motor bike if you wish to explore the island that way. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Thai Smile bungalows and hope to return someday.

I’m so happy we chose to stay at Thai Smile. Dave and Lek’s place was wonderful- clean, perfectly located, and charming with the garden. They are just across the street from the beach, it’s about a three minute walk. Highly recommend any and all of Lek’s cooking, it really is the best. My favorite was the Panang curry and the muesli for breakfast. Dave was very helpful in suggestions for beach areas and even took the time to drive my sister and I to a more private beach down the road. We are so thankful we were able to close out our trip here and would come back in a heartbeat!

I cannot say enough good things about my stay at Thai smile bungalows. Dave, the manager/owner and Lek, the chef/owner, Put together an amazing experience for any guest from around the world. Honestly this is the best location in the entire island. You’re away from most of the busy tourist parts. You can walk over to the beach which has a wonderful night scene (bars - not parties). David takes care of everything. Motorbikes, tours, snorkeling, you name it he’ll make sure that you have a great time on the island. Super convenient. And the bungalows are exactly what you need. They are cozy and welcoming. And there are only six. You are not going to deal with tons of people like you would at some of the other places on the island. Oh and Lek’s cooking! Oh my god. It’s incredible. If you need a reason to stay here, here it is. Half of the guests were repeat customers during my stay. Some coming year over year. This is the best place on all of Lanta.

Wouldnt stay anywhere else”
After traveling a month in Thailand this was our best lodging experience by far. Dave and Lek are a such great hosts and a huge help with answer questions about the island, got us setup with a van to get back to Krabi, got us hooked up with the best diving experience I've ever had (Flip Flop Divers), had motor bikes on hand to rent by the day. The bungalows are in great condition with the most very comfortable beds, pillows, linen, etc. Lek's cooking is amazing as I'm sure ever post has mentioned. Hands down the only place to stay in Koh Lanta!

Best Place Ever at Koh Lanta (Highly Recommended The BEST)”
The best bungalow (chalet) ever stayed and most humble people ever met in Koh Lanta. The room was spacious, tidy, neat, extra value, extra items for customers to enjoy the tourists place around, etc. The little nice restaurant was really simple and love the bamboo style. The food is THE BEST and most exciting ever in my whole entire trip. The chef (Lek) who is the owner and also cooks really well which made huge impact in my trip while the husband (Dave) is an outstanding host who gave great local trips on places to visit. We enjoyed tremendously and had great time at the place where you don't need to travel elsewhere. Highly recommended this wonderful and simple place! Thank you for giving such memories behind. Appreciate it!

Best Place in Koh Lanta! ”
We found Thai Smile Bungalows merely by accident, but couldn't be happier with our stay! Dave and Lek are really nice and easy going and the food was awesome! The Bungalows are spacious and very clean as is the small, but lovely little garden. Thai Smile is located just two minutes from the main road, so there's plenty of night life, but it's not as noisy and crowded. If we ever come back to Koh Lanta, we'll definitely stay here again!

Dave and Lek take pride in their accommodations and restaurant and it shows. The bungalows are clean and comfortable. The grounds are well kept and the restaurant serves reasonably priced, tasty thai dishes and some standard european/north american fare as well. They have scooters available for hire, also reasonably priced. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Stay”
Had a fantastic four nights in Koh Lanta. The bungalows were very modern and comfortable and look even better in person. Location was perfect for us - quiet but with everything you need within walking distance. Food from the restaurant was best we’ve had all trip. Will hopefully be back one day.

Our stay was perfect in every aspects ! I can only recommend Thaï Smile for your trip at Koh Lanta. Food and bed are definitely a must and everything else is on top. we enjoyed each minute of it.

An Island Gem”
Thai Smile Bungalows is a cozy, intimate little resort just off the main drag. It’s not on the water but you quickly discover how easy is is to spend the day at any number of beautiful beaches. Then you get to come home to a spotlessly clean room and a wonderful meal prepared by Chef Lek. Lek, and her husband Dave are the owners and consummate hosts. You will truly feel right at home and will congratulate yourself on such a fine choice and great value. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

Due to a mix up with agoda we were only here 1 night, it was friendly clean and quiet and dave and his staff were very friendky and helpful. Their food was also amazing would highlt recommend

Dave and Lek are great hosts. Lovely accommodation around beautiful gardens. Very comfy beds and very clean rooms. Short walk to the beach and just off the road so nice and quiet. Lek cooks amazing food in the Thai Smile restaurant and we ate there most of our 7 days staying there. Well recommended accommodation and hosts.

I highly recommend staying at Thai Smile. It’s more than just a hotel. We felt so at home while staying in the bungalow! It is amazingly clean and the bed and sheets were very comfortable. Dave and Lek were so kind and helpful. Stay at Thai Smile! You will be so happy you did.
