Best Western hotels never disappoint”
Never knew there was a BW in downtown Union Square as we always booked a hotel just around the corner. Little did I know, they were one of the few hotels that offered King beds. Huge plus considering hotel rooms are quite small in SF. However the rooms at this BW were very roomy even with the King bed. Only drawback was the location of the bathroom sink and medicine cabinet above. I understand the objective is to maximize space by making it a corner sink, but the mirror/medicine cabinet was awkward especially when trying to brush my teeth or wash my face. I just needed to remind myself not to move my head up or else I would bump the back of my head everytime. Other than that, everything else in this hotel is great; from the staff to the rooms.

Beautiful, aesthetic, and safe!”
We came here for a weekend and had a very comfortable stay! The staff is absolutely amazing. Even though we ended up arriving late at night due to some hiccups in our travel plans, they were very warm and welcoming at that late hour. The room was immaculately clean and tidy. Although the room wasn’t very large, it had a big closet area with a nice mirror to get ready with. Everything looks newly renovated and modern, with the classic antique flair. The lobby area is simply beautiful. The location is also great as it’s close to Union Square. Overall a great stay! We’d be back again for the price we got these rooms at :)

I got the smallest/cheapest room and it was awesome. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, location was great, and staff were (Quinton) amazing! I will stay here again!

Perfect location to everything! Staff are super friendly and really helpful. Traditional hotel but with modern touches, super clean. Really enjoyable experience. Car parking is expensive but its secure and safe :) Would definitely stay again!

Excellent hotel”
I really liked the hotel from the start because the receptionist that greeted us was a fellow Filipino! The room we had was a deluxe with queen bed (Room 608) and it was a corner room. No views of the city but it was quiet during the night. Spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. There was airconditioning but we didn't use it. Unlimited coffee and tea at 7-10am was perfect for the cold weather.

Clean, Cozy, Perfect Location”
Old charm hotel, quaint. I loved how clean my room was - linens crisp, towels fluffy and new. I had a boutique queen. It was small but forgivable. The walk-in closet was a bonus for spreading luggage open. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was pristine. Housekeepers are attentive. Unlike some 5-star hotels, they changed my linen that I had soiled slightly with food . No breakfast or room service but there is a Lorie's Diner open 24 hours and Walgreens a few steps away and a 7-11 across the hotel. Not a problem. Location is perfect. Union Square and many branded retail shops are within a few blocks. Easy access to the Tram, BART, and buses. Great value. I recommend this hotel for single and buddy travelers.

Conveniently located off Powell Street where the cable car is. My room facing the inner courtyard was quiet and comfortable with good shower area and also a small wardrobe/dressing room. No air conditioning but there was a heater which worked well for winter.

Small but Cosy ”
Walkable from Union Square and the shopping area. With convenient store located around the hotel. Enjoyed the stay very much, cosy and warm room, nice ambience with friendly staff that recommended good places for breakfast:)

The hotel was lovely and staff superb. My daughter and I shared a room that was comfy and clean, but extremely small. All was great until about 1 a.m. when it sounded as though a truck was dumping glass recycling into a dumpster. I have no idea what it was, but the noise kept both of us up most of the night. Perhaps a room at the back of the hotel would have been better. Very unfortunate, because it was a great location with great value.

The hotel is a little old so you are able to hear your neighbours but the bed and pillows are very comfortable. They provide you with all the basic amenities so you don't need to buy/bring anything and they have coffee and tea in the morning. It is in a great location as it is very close to Union Square and Chinatown and there are alot of eateries around the hotel.

Nice cozy hotel close to Union Square”
Perfect location, safe, close to Union Square and downtown. A bit noisy during the night (noise from the street). The control acces system not working properly, the elevator was out of service in our last day (we're staying at the 8th floor), however the staff helped us to carry our luggages downstairs. No breakfast available.

We got our money's worth in terms of basic things you would expect from a hotel. Room was small, but still comfortable and clean. Staff, mostly my fellow Filipinos, was very friendly and accommodating.

Nostalgic central hotel with fantastic staff who are knowledgeable and helpful. Small room and a tiny shower room but perfectly adequate for our 5 night stay. Great location with easy access nearby to cable cars and trams.

Got a room on a higher floor and near to lift which accessible as I have big luggages. The room will be perfect if its a carpeted flooring. Was offered coffee/tea in the morning. The hotel could have offered muffins with it. A light breakfast will be good. Nearby to all shops.
