I've stayed at three separate Royal Park Canvas locations over the past year and have enjoyed the value at each one. For the Nijo location specifically, it's right in front of Nijo station so you have easy access around Kyoto via the Tozai and Sanin lines. There are also a bunch of busses around that can take you where you need to go. The gym was handy and they even have a public bath. Great view overlooking the station. Bathrooms are always very nice at these hotels too, which I appreciate. Staff was also very nice despite my difficulties with Japanese. Will be back when I go back to Kyoto

Quiet but fun”
We really loved our stay in this Royal Park hotel canvas in Nijo. We had a great time playing the table tennis all night. Beverage choices are good. Added bonus the complimentary coffee and tea at the guest lounge/lobby. I will surely comeback and stay here again next time I visit Kyoto. Arigatou!

This hotel is clean and very considerate for guests. What I was impressed is small trash boxes placed at washing area of the public bath, which is very helpful to throw away disposable pouches I brought. People are all nice and polite and I like breakfast too. It was enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Clean rooms, spacious, comfortable beds, and good facilities that are easy to use. Very cool lobby and lounge design that make for fun pictures. Only downside was the rooms ac heater didn't seem to be working even when turning up the temperature which made for a cold night.

Room is good and location is right opposite Nijo Station. They do provide facial clean set with toner and moisture. Free skincare mask; if you stay more night need go to counter asked for new. There is also free beverage at cafe with downside is drinking water only provide 2 bottles per day and you had to ask by yourself, there is no other filter drinking water to consume, everyday had to go nearby convenient shop to buy drinking water.

Modern Hotel with Alot of Facilities ”
The hotel provides public bath service and gym room for their customers with no additional charges. Breakfast was awesome too! I will definitely come back again in my next visit to Kyoto!

The best underrated hotel”
Asides from being slightly far from tourist spots, there are more advantages staying here than disadvantages. Travelled 10 days across Japan from city to city and stayed 2 nights in their super clean rooms, professional staffs that can speak more than just basic English, directly across the road from the train station and 7eleven, build in Netflix on the television. One of the best hotels I have stayed in Japan.
