You buy a room with a spider web and moldy walls for your pay. A hotel with no features other than location, just nicer than the lobby.

Excellent location ”
We were only in Amsterdam for 1 night and we had booked the Anne frank house and canal tours. This hotel was excellent location to both and along one of the most beautiful canal sides. There is an amazing brunch place round the corner. We were upgraded to a canal view room which was so romantic especially in the evening with the windows opened. The staff were friendly and facilities were great in this quirky hotel. We will definitely return and certainly to this hotel. Thanks to all at the Times Hotel!

I had a lovely stay at The Times Hotel, it was such a shame that I was only there for a night! The location was great, only 5 minutes walk from the city center and even closer to the streetcar but away from the hustle and bustles of the main stripe. Many eateries and cafe around! The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful! The room was slightly on the smaller side, but more than enough for 1-2 people. Bed was very comfy! Loved the decor throughout the hotel. Will look no further when I visit Amsterdam next.

Some rooms have a canal view, which is why we stayed at The Times. Most inexpensive canal view room in the city. Friendly staff, clean rooms, amazing view of canal from our bed. Small rooms, but that is usual, big enough for 3 big suitcases.

I had what was probably the worse room in the hotel - right up on the fifth floor. However I was trading cost for luxury so it was a trade I was happy with. The bad bits: the room was small (smallest in the hotel with no storage space (draws or shelves); the bed was uncomfortable (big dip in the middle), the bathroom sink drained very slowly (so difficult to clean after a wet shave). The good bits: simple, clean, excellent location (beautiful area, convenient for walking round dam square, centre, Jordaan etc., convenient for trams and busses to museums etc.), nice people and a good breakfast to set you up for the day, a good hot shower to end the day. Yes for the price I would highly recommend.

As everyone else has said, it is in a fantastic location. Loved walking back along the canal in the evenings. Welcoming staff and comfortable room.

Good Location/Clean/Friendly Staff”
I booked and travel alone. If you like to walk ( radial 2 km.) , this Hotel is good and convenience. It easy to walk to Museum, and also the Central station. However, if you booked the small room, there is some part of Hotel that it is difficult to bring the BIG Luggage to the room. Therefore, if you have small luggage light weight. This Hotel is very good. The BF is Euro 14.00 , you can decide on the Morning.

Great location.. near the city center.. staff really friendly.. we got upgraded room to canal view.. the room quite small but it’s enough for me and my husband.. the only challenging thing is our room is in the 5th floor.. the elevator ends in 4th floor.. so we must bring our big luggage from 4th floor to 5th floor.. but overall this hotel is really nice.. will be come back for sure :)

Comfortable & Convenient ”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Times & in Amsterdam. The location was fantastic as we were walking distance to the Central train station (about 10mins), beautiful cafes/restaurants, shopping stalls & tram stops. The staff @ The Times were very kind, helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable but slightly on the small side - however, taking into account the size of venues in Amsterdam, it was an efficient amount of space and cosy. We hope to return to Amsterdam and stay at The Times Hotel again in the near future!

I had an amazing time at this hotel and glad I chose this place. Big shoutout to Glenn, who was outstanding in every way. He made my stay extra special and went the extra mile to make my stay comfortable. The location was perfect. Central and walking distance to tram lines and great eating places nearby, but located in a quiet street. I recommend the canal view as it was a treat waking up to that view. I will be back.
