Superb Location for shoppers to stay in”
I knew I made the right choice when I chose to stay at Traders for our 3 days 2 nights trip to Kuala Lumpur. The staffs are friendly, the rooms are great however we didnt get a good view of the Petronas twin tower as we did not chose the twin tower room. Nevertheless, we didn't come to Kuala Lumpur for sight seeing but for a shopping spree. Traders Hotel is located at a walking distance to the landmarks such as Petronas Twin towers and also shopping centres such as Pavilion and Suria KLCC. The rates are reasonable compared to the neighbouring hotels and the staffs are super friendly. I am also impressed by the buggy rides which accommodates us from the hotel to petronas /Suria KLCC shopping centre and back. If given a choice I will stay in Traders Hotel for my next visit and even recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Hotel Room : Deluxe Room Pros : - Free and Fast WIFI connections - Free Buggy ride from hotel to Petronas Twin Towers/Suria KLCC and back - Walking distance to Pavillion Shopping Centre, by using the bridge. - Directly next to KL convention centre - Clean and cosy room - Reasonable rates - Friendly service - Fast Checkin and Check-Out - Good Security - Great location Cons - - Didn't get to view the petronas twin tower from my room and it was facing some construction site - Airport Transfer service to LCCT was ridiculously expensive, quoted at RM140.(Should have free service)

A Hotel That Deserves One More Star”
Why Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur has only four stars is beyond me. I have been to five star hotels and I can say with certainty that Traders is up to par. The rooms are spacious, modern, and elegant, and if you’re lucky enough to book early like we did, you could get a room with a perfect view of the Petronas Towers! I also loved how they offer a free shuttle service to Suria KLCC, the commercial complex at the foot of the towers. Now most hotels have that, but what’s amazing about Traders is that it also has a direct pathway to Suria through the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center and an underground walkway. How convenient! I particularly appreciate how effective their staff is. There are a lot of them situated at the ground floor, all ready to help guests with any concerns, to answer any of their questions, or to guide them to their rooms and other such things. That’s really their sole purpose, since the front desk itself is on a different floor. The best thing about it is that they all speak very good English – such a great help! Lastly, their Sky Bar is amazing. If I had more ringgits on me, I’d stay there the whole night!

Family Bonding at KLCC”
We booked a room with a Twin Towers View (Room 2503). We arrived at 1AM because our flight was delayed but were very pleased with the check-in process, which took just a little over 5 mins. The staff was very accommodating and oriented us with all hotel facilities before giving us the keys. Our room had a king-sized bed big enough for 4 people and the bathroom is fitted with a bathtub. TV channels were a little limited but was not an issue for us. There is a flat iron with board and an in-room safe for your belongings. The greatest asset of our room is the view! You get an unhindered view of the Petronas Twin Towers and surrounding lanscape...great for photos especially at night! Since our room came with Club Lounge privileges, we had the option of having breakfast at either the Club Lounge or at the Gobo Grill. We ate at the Club Lounge because we can get food for the kids free of charge unlike in the Gobo Grill wherein you have to pay for them. You also get free snacks in the afternoon and evening cocktails. For us the best feature of the hotel is its location. It is literally in the center of Kuala Lumpur. The Petronas Twin towers and Suria KLCC mall is a 5-10min walk away through a beautiful park and you can also ride a buggy (free) from the hotel lobby. The park in front of the hotel has a children's playground and a swimming pool where you can swim between 11am to 4pm (also free). From Suria KLCC mall, you can access Aquaria, an indoor theme park located underground and Petrosains, a science and discovery center located at the 4th level of the mall. Transportation to and from Traders Hotel is also very easy. I recommend you always hire blue taxis because you get free insurance while onboard and their drivers are very good tour guides. Last but not least, hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. The concierge service is excellent and I highly recommend you ask them for tips before you travel to other destinations.

Close to everything”
The Traders Hotel by Shangri-La its fine for those who are looking for a central location in KL. In the epicenter of a beautiful garden, its possible within a few steps, be in front of the Petronas Twin Towers, the malls, restaurants and other major atractions. The rooms are big and clean and the views are the best in Kuala Lumpur. The tube is near and taxis are always near. In the last floor, the pool was, at the first glinpse, very atractive. However, after 6 pm, this place its transform in a bar until late, and the noise was something to avoid, and even in the room, 10 floors down, its possible to listen to the music. In the morning, the smell of smoke and tobacco just put a end to my desire to swim.

Comfortable hotel in a good location”
Traders Hotel is not cheap - but you certainly get what you pay for - conveniences like free wifi throughout the hotel, free use of the computers at the business centre, for example. You're also paying for the good location - it's conveniently situated near KLCC (there's even a buggy service that takes you to Suria KLCC) The room was comfortable - bed and pillows were soft and comfy, I had very good nights of sleep there. The room also has a sofa as well as a curvy sort of lounge chair that was also nice to laze and read a book on. The toilet was spacious - my friend and I loved the lighted sink area and the double mirrors (in fact, lots of mirrors all over the room!). The shower and bathtub layout is rather unique - there's a shower space with a sliding glass door on one side, and the bath tub is connected to it so you can climb into the tub after a quick shower (rain shower, btw). The famous Skybar at Traders was a nice place to relax at - do book the cabana seats early if you can - they're very popular because they offer a spectacular view of the Kuala Lumpur skyline and the twin towers. Great drinks, too. Our room package did not come with breakfast (we like to sample local breakfasts anyway) but we tried their buffet breakfast one morning as we'd heard good things about it. The spread is pretty good in both terms of quality and quantity - made-to-order omelettes were just okay, but the waffles and pancakes (also made-to-order) were pretty delicious. The spread has both Western and Eastern style breakfast foods so one can have the best of both worlds. Finally, the staff were friendly - we were greeted everywhere and service was provided with a smile. Not sure if this was the case for every room, but we were given an additional 2 bottles of water every day - think the cleaning staff noticed I'd finished both bottles of the complimentary water. All in all a great hotel I'd recommend if you have the budget.

Chic Hotel in KL”
I live 200kms south of KL and visit the city on a monthly basis, last week I spent 3 nights in Traders on my own as my husband was in a hospital in the next street! This Hotel is all round chic, so clean, good food and great staff. First class bed linen, important to me! Big bathrooms very well equipped and lots of toiletries of good standard. Everytime we go, and we take all our visiting friends there too, the standard is just beyond expectations. Everyone is impressed. In Traders you are just a short distance from Petronas Twin Towers, they are domiciled at KLCC and you can almost "touch" them from the Club Lounge on the 32nd floor in the Hotel. When the are lite up around 7.00pm the view is spectacular, I never cease to be amazed by it. Walking to KLCC takes about 5 mins in the heat but the Hotel operates a Golf Trolley back and forward to the Centre. This is free of charge and believe me in the searing heat it is just wonderful not to have to walk back, it runs every few minutes. Also the Hotel can be accessed from KLCC by a wonderful walkway so if there is a sudden Moonsoon downpour you are dry, fantastic! You are also very close to lots of other shopping malls, restuarants and the night market. I have lived in other 5 star Hotels in Kuala Lumpur which have been pretty fantastic but for all round service and standard Traders wins everytime.

Best Location in KLCC, Will be back with whole family.”
Best Location in KLCC - We booked a Twin Towers View Room and sent an email beforehand to request a room with great view. We were given a room on the 26th floor and I can say it was the best room, for me and my kids who were first-time travelers to Kuala Lumpur. Since my primary reason for vising KL was to see the Petronas Towers, I was glad I chose Traders Hotel because it offered us the best location and easiest access to Petronas Towers, Suria KLCC, KLCC park, KLCC convention center, Petrosains and Aquaria. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Even before we arrived Mr. Michael Tan was patient with me in answering all my questions by email; he always answered promptly to each question I've had. Since there were 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids aged 8 and 2), were even offered an extra bed complimentary. We did not get this though because the king-size bed was enough for all of us. We will surely be back and no question, we will stay at Traders Hotel KLCC again.

Traders Hotel KL - A great place to stay!”
We have stayed at several Shangri-la resorts before and this was our first time at a Traders Hotel. We choose Shangri-la properties as the staff and facilities are always exceptional and this visit was no exception. We arrived and produced our Agoda Hotel voucher to reception and were immediately escorted upstairs to our own private check-in lounge on the 32 floor where we were offered drinks whilst we were being checked-in. This was a simple process and within minutes we were sitting in out Tower view room on the 28 floor with the most amazing view of the Petronas Towers. It is well worth spending the few extra dollars to book a Tower view room, even if you dont part-take in the afternoon tea and cocktail hours, but for the views alone. Have a drink in your room at night and watch the Towers light-up - stunning! The other advantage of booking a Tower view room is that you have the choice of breakfast in either the Traders Lounge on the 32 floor or downstairs at Gobo Chit Chat. Go Traders Lounge everytime as Gobo Chit Chat is like a cafeteria - very noisy and impersonal. This was the only downside to what was a very pleasant stay and we have certianly recommended Traders to others and will stay there again when we return to KL in 2011! Overall rating 9/10,

Trader club twin tower view - postcard like window”
Modern large hotel with more than few hundreds rooms at excellent location (on the other side of the KLCC Park opposite the Petronas towers). We booked "trader club twin tower view" room type and got room no 3019, which true to its words - come with "picture perfect postcard" window. Twin tower by day is great, but was even more amazing to look at after dark when its all light-up. The hotel service goes beyond usual perks, they also provide a buggy service for guest at first come first serve basis from morning till 2:30pm. Failing that, its walking distance to KLCC Suria shopping center (approx 5-7 mins easy stroll pace). KLCC shopping centre also has underground station on Putra LTR line. Its handy one for us as it goes to KL sentral, where there is direct line to KLIA airport. Some review said that it's possible to walk an indoor passage way to Suria shopping center, though we didnt try on this visit. We enjoyed buggy service on occasions, but also tried few trips strolling in the park from/to hotel when buggy isnt available. The park in front of the hotel is large, clean and has excellent facilities for jogging or an evening stroll. The Kuala Lumpur aquarium is practically round the corner, but we didnt go due to tight stop-over schedule to next destination. We choose to visit petronas tower and went to sky brigde tour (its free but need to queue in the morning for allocated visit time ticket).

A Luxurious New Year Eve's Countdown”
Based on raving reviews from a married couple (friends of ours), we booked a couple of rooms at Traders Hotel with a direct view of the massive and stunning KLCC park. Our plan was simple – enjoy the facilities offered by the hotel, have a sumptuous dinner at Top Hats restaurant across the road and feast our eyes on the fireworks galore at midnight. Traders Hotel may be 4-star but they gave 5-star (and beyond!) service. The rooms were spacious and the king sized bed was divine. The sofa bed provided for the third person in our room was also comfortable. To our amazement, we discovered that whenever we picked up the phone to make a call, the television volume turns to mute automatically. Talk about having a smart room! This thoughtful room feature is also reflected by the staff. They were attentive, responsive and willing to assist in any way with a smile despite this being one of the busiest times in the year for them. I injured my knee – they sent me a first aid kit. We requested for extra toiletries – they followed up with a call to ensure that these have indeed been sent to us. Everywhere we go, we were greeted with cheerful smiles and they even have a helpful staff stationed by the elevators to assist the many guests going up and down the floors. Although it is located close to KLCC Suria shopping centre, you can skip the 10-minute walk by riding in the hotel buggy which makes very regular rounds ferrying hotel guests to and fro KLCC Suria. I’ve encountered this buggy many times before during my visits to KLCC Suria and often wondered how it was like to ride in one of these. So as soon as I checked into the hotel, I quickly hopped onto a buggy and found it to be a comfortable, short (about 1 minute) and sweet ride. Curiosity satisfied, I went on to explore the Sky Bar and pool located on Level 33. I slipped into the long and rectangular pool from the side wooden walkway fringed with cubicles with cushion seats. It was a little disconcerting to swim amidst

The view was worth it, and everything else too”
we visited kuala lumpur, kl, during christmas, we got 3 rooms with the traders club package with a view of the petronas twin towers. the club package was worth the money, the included breakfast was great, specially for a group of 7 who are picky eaters, this gave us a full belly to start the day and with a couple of snacks we could last until 5pm when the 5-7 happy hour started and we could eat again. the rooms were awesome and the view fantastic. the skybar also overlooks the towers and many people visit it during the night, including non-guests. the pool closes at 7pm because of that so my kids were not very excited but we did not even have time to swim anway. the hotel is walking distance from the towers and klcc mall, or you can wait for the electric 7 passenger buggy exclusive for traders guests every 10 minutes until 10pm. also walking distance is acquaria which my kids loved, and to the hop on/hop off bus stop #4 in front of mandarin oriental hotel. the hotel provided valet parking for our vehicles for 20rm and free overnight parking. we were all very impressed and loved traders! hope to be back!

Superior Hotel with Excellent services”
We amazingly enjoyed our stay at Traders Hotel by Shangri-La. It's located at the heart of the Kula Lumper city and it's only a very short walking distance from KLCC Suria shopping center. The room was excellent in terms of cleanliness and location (Towers View). The staff is more than friendly and very welcoming. The hotel provides free transportation service to and from the KLCC center. I would definitely chose this hotel again next time i plan a visit to Kuala Lumper.

Lovely”
Traders Hotel is ideally situated in Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) in a corner of the lovely KLCC park, which was visible from my window. I didn't have a "tower view" room, but the view of the park and the city was still lovely. The Petronas Twin Towers and Suria KLCC are a short walk away, or you can elect to take the hotel's free shuttle buggy. The hotel's ideal location made it easy to access public transport. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was quite luxurious and beautiful. I made much use of the complimentary broadband. Also, the buffet breakfasts are wonderful! This is really a first class hotel, and the cost was reasonable. I can't think of any negatives at all. I stayed at Traders by myself but I think the experience is too good not to share.

Great place to stay in KL”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Traders hotel in Shangri-La. The room was large, clean and very comfortable with a huge bathroom and all amenities. They even give you laundry powder each day for if you want to wash your clothes by hand! The hotel is located in KLCC in front of a beautiful park and within 10 mins walk of the Surla KLCC mall (which is very nice) and around 15 mns walk of the Pavilion Mall so is perfectly located. Also, my wife and I were in such a rush to leave to catch our flight to Redang that we left some items of high value in the room but the hotel staff (thanks Housekeeping!) kept the items to one side and then arranged to deliver them to us at Kuala Lumpur airport when we came back from Redang as we had to go straight to KLIA in order to catch our flight back to Hong Kong. Great service! I highly recommend this hotel!

An excellent hotel”
I had booked a deluxe room for two nights over the Hari Raya weekend. The first night, we enjoyed the room, but we realised that we wanted to enjoy the view of Petronas Twin Towers while relaxing in the room. As we enquired about the upgrade fee, we agreed on the fee to be charged and the next day, we proceeded to Level 5 to inform that we would indeed like to upgrade the room. At 2.30pm, the new room was yet to be ready but we were allowed to use our previous room while waiting for the new room to be ready. We were informed that the room was available and we proceeded there. However, upon entering that new room, the smell of smoke was so strong. Upon request with the housekeeping staff, we were promptly attended by two staff who walked in and took a sniff. They said that it was not the smell of smoke but they would immediately escort us to another room. The new room smelled fresh and was better than the earlier smoky room. For our inconvenience, they agreed to waive the upgrade fee which we delighted with, as the new room was really alot better smelling. We were delighted with the view of Petronas Twin Towers as that room really allowed us to enjoy Petronas Twin Towers fully from the comfort of our room. We ordered food from their room service and we had problem with opening the bottled tomato sauce, thus we called and requested for someone to send another bottle, or at least come help us open the bottle. When their staff came, they brought a plate of fruits as well as chocolates, in addition to helping us open the bottle of tomato sauce, as well as passing us an apology card for the inconvenience caused to us. I can just marvel at how attentive and fast the staff of Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur has reacted. Upon checking out, while their staff was processing it for us, another staff actually approached us to apologise for the inconvenience as well as enquire on how was the room.

Magnificent View of the Twin Towers”
Traders Hotel by Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur for me is one of the best when it comes to hotels around the Petronas Twin Towers. The location is just perfect and almost everything that Kuala Lumpur can offer is within reach. The hotel itself as amenities you'd expect from the brand. Most importantly, the price is fairly reasonable.

Best hotel in KL”
traders has quality rooms, furnished well, and maintained to be very clean. out of many hotels i stayed at, traders was the best one. there is a free shuttle to klcc despite being a short 15 minute walk away from klcc anyways (if you're going to be walking in klcc for 3 hours, what's a 15 minute walk from traders to klcc?) the view of klcc is unbeatable, specially from the skybar. i also enjoyed the steambath and sauna available at the spa/pool. the inroom dining food was well-priced and of excellent quality. i loved the personal service where everybody called me by name. the waiter that arrived to deliver the in-room dining food explained each dish! i was blown away by the courtesy and service i received here. the only annoying thing was the reception being located on the 5th floor (kinda odd, specially for people arriving for the first time!). simply an amazing hotel! if you're getting a good deal for traders and you're coming to kl, then don't stay anywhere else!

top class hotel with an amazing view”
although i stayed at traders for only one night, the facilities, hotel room and the hospitality provided by the staff have convinced me enough to opt for this hotel when i'm back in kl. the rooms were fantastic with an awesome view, elegant bathrooms with rain showers and bath tubs, classy set up, definitely a 5 star hotel. besides that, traders hotel kl has one of the best locations, which is right in the heart of kuala lumpur. hotel guests can easily indulge in shopping at klcc shopping centre which is just within walking distance.

Great Choice”
The Traders hotel Kuala Lumpur is located on the edge of Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC) park. There is a golf cart shuttle that can take you to Suria shopping center - a 5 minute walk away. The restaurant is very good and the rooms are comfortable and well accomodated. The electronics are up to date and everything works nicely and simply. It is very good value for the price.

Trader's Hotel--A Great Place to Stay!”
I think a testement of whether or not a hotel is good is whether or not you'd stay there again. Well, I'm already planning another trip to Kuala Lumpur for next Spring, and when I do, I'll be staying at the Traders Hotel. It's part of the Shangri-La hotel chair, known for their five-star service, so you won't be disappointed with your stay here. Also, it's co-located with the KL Convention Center, which has the KL Aquarium, as well as other sites to check out. Also the hotel offers a shuttle to Suria Mall, which has shopping, food courts, and is a major place just to hang out and people watch.
