Unique experience
+ location in Lalitpur is second to none, within 5min walk to main sights; unique feel of traditional nepalese homes; my top floor suite has own balcony and rooftop spread - room seriously need air con or at least some form of mosquito net; impossible to sleep with the windows open during the summer and the insects

Excellent Service
The location is in the city center, if you like culture stuff and dislike bar street, this will be the excellent choice. The staffs in this hotel are all very nice and friendly, willing to help. The cafe house in this hotel also has very good quality food with resoable price. I really enjoy the stay and would like to recomment this hotel to my friends.

Interesting old building lovingly restored
It is definitely worth staying here just for the restaurant which is outstanding!! The rooms are unique, in that it is a very old traditional building lovingly restored, and run by charming and attentive people. Would I stay here again? No. Im not an air conditioning person, but this room had no air conditioning or fan and no screens on the windows, so in the heat of late April your choice was stifling heat or getting eaten by mosquitos during the night. The stair case is a narrow winding affair with stairs that are about half the depth of the average Western foot and so a bit dicey going up and down. The rooms are nicely appointed, but the ceilings VERY low. My room faced the back which was VERY noisy until the restaurant closed, as it sits right above it. The price was about twice what I paid for my previous very nice room in Kathmandu though I prefer the Patan area to Tamil where I was before.

Too expensive for what I was getting
For about $100/night in Nepal, I was expecting a lot more than what I got in this so-called "Boutique B&B".

Nice hotel in Nepali style
Location, design and staff
Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Nice to experience traditional Nepali design (although no TV/air con due to electricity cut-off). Restaurant is very good, one of the best in town. Staff were friendly (and smart). Great location - seconds away from Durba Square.

Great
Intimate rooms, great staff, tasty food
Traditional Homes Swotha is an intimate restored house in a quiet street around the corner of Durbar Square, Patan. The fantastic staff really make this location feel like home. From warm water bottles for the beds on a cold night to answering all of our questions – this is where you should stay. It was fun to walk around the neighborhood and the rooms feel special. We also enjoyed all of our our meals at Café Swotha from a complete breakfast with french-pressed coffee to lunches and dinner. Small and intimate, it was a wonderful place for our family.
