Morocco offers a range of public and private transportation options connecting major cities and tourist destinations. Travelers can use trains, buses, trams, taxis, ride-hailing apps, and domestic flights for intercity and local travel.
- Public Transport:
- Trains: Operated by ONCF, connect cities like Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Fes, and Tangier. The Al Boraq high-speed train runs between Tangier and Casablanca.
- Trams: Available in Rabat and Casablanca, with modern networks covering key urban areas.
- Buses: City and intercity buses are operated by companies such as CTM and Supratours. Local buses serve most urban areas.
- Transportation Apps:
- Uber and Bolt are not available. Local ride-hailing apps include Careem (in Casablanca and Rabat) and Heetch (in Casablanca).
- Internal Flights: Domestic flights are operated by Royal Air Maroc and Air Arabia Maroc, connecting cities such as Casablanca, Marrakech, Agadir, and Oujda.
- Intercity Buses: CTM and Supratours provide reliable intercity routes. Tickets can be purchased online or at stations.
- Taxis:
- Petit taxis (city only, metered) and grand taxis (intercity, shared fares) are widely available.
- Car Rental: Available at airports and major cities. An international driving permit is recommended.
- Airport Transfers: Taxis, shuttle buses, and private transfers are available at major airports. Fares are fixed or metered.
