Determine your eligibility for travel

To determine your eligibility for travel, please refer to the following conditions and requirements for Egypt:

Passengers from all countries can enter Egypt. Passengers no longer need to show proof of full vaccination and are no longer required to take a COVID-19 test to enter.

Quarantine is not required for most travelers.

Travelers who test positive for COVID-19 upon entry are required to self-isolate for five days at their hotels and take a PCR test on the sixth day. Travelers subject to quarantine may end the isolation period after receipt of a negative result from the day six PCR test, assuming they exhibit no COVID-19 symptoms. Those whose PCR test result is positive must isolate for an additional five days.

Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate stating full vaccination at least 14 days before travel are exempt from testing.

Domestic travel

Mosques in Egypt are open for daily prayers with the exception of Friday prayers. A ban on funerals and marriage ceremonies remains in place. Clubs, coffee shops and restaurants are open with preventative measures in place. Hotels are open at 25% capacity. Cinemas and theaters are open at 25% of maximum seating capacity.
