International travelers are no longer required to take a test for COVID-19 on arrival or on day 8. Some passengers may be subject to a test on arrival based on thermal screenings in place at airports.
Passengers arriving in India must comply with the following requirements:
– Provide proof of negative COVID-19 PCR test result or vaccination
– Complete an Air Suvidha self-declaration form (https://www.evisasindia.org/COVID-19-self-declaration-form/)
Passengers without valid proof of vaccination must have a printed medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) RT-PCR test result issued within 72 hours before departure.
Domestic travel
COVID-19 cases are currently low and falling across the country. Indian states are relaxing restrictions, including night and weekend curfews, and slowly reopening educational institutions. There still might be requirements to present COVID-19 negative tests to enter some states. Random testing may take place in public areas, including at airports, transport stations, malls and restaurants. You should monitor local media and follow any procedures put in place by local authorities. Before undertaking inter-state travel in India you should check the latest entry requirements and other testing/quarantine restrictions. Strict restrictions are in place in containment zones.
