Trinidad & Tobago Travel Guide

International Travel

International flights are being served via North America to Piarco International Airport in Trinidad. Passengers can connect to Tobago on a domestic flight from Trinidad.

British Airways and Virgin Atlantic resumed flights to Tobago in January 2022.

Fully vaccinated nationals and non-nationals can enter through the airports in Trinidad AND Tobago.

Unvaccinated nationals will be required to enter through the Piarco International Airport in Trinidad ONLY.

Unvaccinated non-nationals will NOT be permitted entry into Trinidad & Tobago at this time.

Determine your eligibility for travel

To determine your eligibility for travel, please refer to the following conditions and requirements for Trinidad & Tobago:

All travelers are allowed to enter. There are no travel restrictions or bans on any country at this time. Negative PCR test is required for all countries. Effective June 1, 2022, travelers entering Tobago will no longer be required to prove vaccination status or acquire a TTravel Pass.

All travelers – including children – must submit proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test result, taken no more than 48 hours prior to arrival in Trinidad and Tobago.

Any passenger that does not present a negative COVID-19 test will be required to enter into state-supervised quarantine upon their arrival at their own cost, and must provide a negative PCR or Lab Approved Antigen test result at any time during their quarantine period as a condition for release.

Quarantine is required for some travelers.

Fully vaccinated nationals and non-nationals can enter through the airports in Trinidad AND Tobago.

All travelers (including minors) must submit A NEGATIVE NASOPHARYNGEAL (Nasal Swab) RT-PCR Test Result taken NO EARLIER than 72 Hours PRIOR TO ARRIVAL IN TRINIDAD and TOBAGO.
The PCR Test must be in English ONLY.

Individuals are considered FULLY VACCINATED if 14 days have passed since receiving either a World Health Organisation (WHO) Approved single dose Vaccine OR the second dose of a WHO Approved 2 dose Vaccine.

Domestic travel

The Safe Zone initiative has been discontinued effective Monday 4th April 2022.

Face masks or face coverings covering the nose, mouth and chin are required to be worn at all times while traveling in a vehicle or a vessel. This does not apply where a person is in the vehicle or vessel alone or with members of the same family.
