Excellent guesthouse!”
Finding it is the hardest part. But after that, it is all good. Travelbee Guesthouse is located in a residential area. It is a repurposed residential bungalow that is very new and a joy to stay in. The private room (hive) has two big beds with fresh linen and towels. There is enough secure closet space for four individuals. The bathroom is cramped but no issues there because it is clean and new. The water pressure in Room 202 was not strong. It was just enough... Guests can ask the reception staff to call them a cab. Very useful if you need one in the middle of the night or early morning. No extra charge. The free breakfast consisted of rice, egg and a viand. And juice/coffee for a drink. It was ok. My worry now is that management may think of increasing the prices because the guesthouse is really great value for the price paid. Yes, my fellow traveler, Travelbee Guesthouse has my vote! :)

I had a fun experience all over cebu”
Travelbee makes you feel like your just in the comfort of your own home, the place is quiet, location not really hard to find once you know your way in and out. Its not far from ayala mall you can even walk its just 1km away, food not much of a choice but its not so bad. Its also a budget friendly hotel with free breakfast. Its good for groups who likes to venture out all over cebu. I like how clean the place is and also the room. The hotel doesnt have tv inside the room but you can always go down the lobby where the attendant hand you over the remote. Internet is also free of charge and very fast. I would definitely recommend this hotel. if i ever happen to comeback to Cebu i would difinitely stay at this place again. Two thumbs up..

Great Value”
My wife and I stayed at the Travelbee for 4 nites. The rooms were excellent, very clean, comfortable, with hot water and air con...everything worked perfect, we slept great and spent our days away from the hotel. The internet was excellent in the room and in the lobby. The easy breakfast was all we wanted, it was perfect for us as we don't over eat and enjoy simple breakfast to start our day, we are not complicated and the food was perfect. I would recommend Travelbee for people who enjoy good simple, quality lodging, and appreciate the fact that travelers are guests in another country and need to respect the customs and cultures of others. When you travel, forget about what you are used to "back home" and accept your new home in your adopted country.

Travelbee Guest House Review for Private Hive Room”
The Guesthouse is located just off the North Escario Street and has a 7/11 store roughly 400 meters away. It is located in a residential area and hence difficult to find, even by taxi. Mango Square mall is nearby and also it is conveniently located a short ride away from the South Bus terminal to other places in Cebu. The staff speaks English and is very kind and helpful, takes care of its guests with a welcoming smile. The reception desk in 24 Hours and the hotel has a security guard. The area post 10pm looks deserted and is dimly lit on the streets, but is safe, although, calling a cab would be preferred. The room is big enough, had 2 double beds and clean. The wifi is fast and also there is a desktop pc in the lobby to use internet. Overall, the service is excellent and tailored to your needs, the staff can assist you in travel tips.

Good for its price”
Stayed here with friends, in a Large Hive room. The room was spacious, and there are available cabinets for everyone. Note that the cabinets were also big to fit our bags, shoes, etc. You can even hang clothes, though I think you'd still request for hangers since there were none in our room. The airconditioning was sufficient for the space of the room. The bed was comfy, although they were double decks. What I really liked was that there were individual light near your bed with a little space to put stuff, which serves like a bedside table. The switch for the light is also at hand's reach. And of course, there were power outlets for everyone! The bathroom though is quite small. There's a sink with a mirror, the toilet of course, and a hot and cold shower. The pressure of the shower was a little low, so no fast showers for us. You'd have to request for a pail or dipper too, and this was a bother when you defecate since there's no bidet. The free breakfast was a simple toast and coffee, and you can request for this anytime you want. We had ours at 3am! Also, if you'd order food from their menu, the serving is big and the taste delicious. Prices for their food and drinks are reasonable too, we really did expect that these will be of higher amount since they were quite away from any convenience store. And must I say, the staff were really kind and friendly (and honest!). Everytime we arrive at the place, they would always have a friendly greeting for us, regardless of what they are doing. At one point, my friend misplaced his phone, and knew about it when we were already on our way to south of Cebu. We were out for the whole day and arrived late in the night, and immediately helped him find his phone. As it turns out, he left his phone at the guesthouse's lobby, and the staff kept it until we arrived. So many thumbs up for the people who work there. They even managed to get us two taxis after our checkout. So happy withe our stay here! :)

Way beyond expectations for a budget hotel”
Despite the not so easy to find location, you will definitely get more value than what you paid for. We got the private hive which was very spacious and had great ventilation. Two queen sized beds was great for 4pax but we just used one of them. There are table lights if you need them at night but quite bright. Restroom was pretty standard but problem was the water flow wasn't strong so it takes time to take a bath. We just requested a 'tabo' because the water current was stronger using the faucet. We were lost the first time we got there but the signages along the way helped a bit. Would be nice if there is a large signage in the hotel itself though. Breakfast was standard but very appreciated for the price we paid. All in all, i would recommend Travelbee for the budget conscious travellers.

Short stay in Travelbee Guesthouse...”
Overall it was very good. They warmly welcome us even if we checked in late at night and even follow up if we are really comfortable on our room. They also assisted us on how can we go around town especially going to Tabo-an Market via jeep. The free coffee and toasted bread is a plus point knowing we are just staying in their dormitory rooms. And lastly, they even went out on the main road just to get us a cab going to airport. Kudos to your team!!! We will surely go back here on our next adventure in Cebu.

Gem in the rough”
You got more that you've paid for because the staff was attentive and organized. I've called them several times to change my reservation details and they are very patient to accommodate my ever changing plans. I've got an early flight and they managed to call me a cab to airport within a minute notice. I know they have to walk to the main road to get it. They even called to notify us for things we've left behind. Unfortunately, they cannot deliver because of limited staff. I did appreciate them for notifying us. I've stayed there with 4 of my friends and all were satisfied with the good food, comfortable bed and clean surroundings. Bonus is that the wifi connection is good! I will be staying there again next time I visit Cebu for sure!

I posted a review for this hotel for the first part of my stay in Cebu. A few things I would add: Get the staff to call you a taxi when you want go out. It's quicker than walking to the main road to flag a taxi down. There is a 7-11 convenience store near the hotel. There are no TVs in the rooms, but there is a big screen in the lobby. TV in the Ppns sucks anyway, unless you have all the movie and sports channels, which few budget hotels offer.

The Travel Bee Experience from a guy w/ standards”
I just needed a place to sleep for the night and didn't want to foot the bill for a nice hotel since I knew I would only need the place for less than 12hrs. I was lucky to find this place for a great deal. I spend alot of time in the PI but I am from the US so I have seen the most rancid hotels/pension houses to the nicest spots and this ranks right in the middle. The only issue is finding the location. If you plan to get there by foot (which I did from Ayala), please be prepared for a hike cuz there is no easy way to get there. You will pass by homeless people and some unfortunate living conditions but once you are there then you are golden. If you don't feel comfortable walking the streets for sure 100% take a taxi but make sure you know exactly where it is since its nowhere near a major business. Once I get there everything was perfectly fine. Guard was super friendly and desk guy handled business. I got in my room which was the Medium Hive. I thought it was like a hostile but I had my own private bathroom with hot water. The room has a decent AC. Only issue with my room is that there was a security light right outside my window so I could never tell if it was 2am or 7am. The super awesome part is that EVERY bed has a power plug and a place you can put all your stuff. In short if you want a super value and don't mind being away from the action and walking past homeless people then this is the place. But if you are scared to walk in deep local areas then I suggest finding a place nearer to the main streets. Travel Bee served its purpose great for me. Also if I ever came to Cebu with a big group 100% I will stay here. One last thing, I don't eat pork and that is all they serve for breakfast which is included in your cost so either you buy your own meal or you just eat eggs and rice. I will survive!

You can walk from the hotel to the main street of Cebu, but it not that close. if you cannot walk far, then you need to have a transport to stay here. The hotel look very new, and also very clean.

Great Hotel!!! Stay here! ”
I never ever write comments on Agoda, but I was so impressed - I had to write. I had orginally stayed at another budget hotel/hostel, only to find out I had no 1A/C and the room was not that clean. This room felt like a western hotel - very extremely clean. For the same price as my first hotel, I got a warm shower (other hotel I had to share the bathroom and the shower wasn't even warm) in my room, A/C, two queen size beds (great if you traveling with others), and just a really nice room! The breakfast was great. The hotel staff was so nice. For anyone that wants a nice hotel room at a budget price, stay here!

Nice hostel”
nice to stay here but too bad the location is not in the city center,my taxi driver was 2 times drop me to a wrong Travelbee cuz there are another Travelbee nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpfull,not easy to find a food stall nearby while the resto in this hostel only open until 9pm.

Cheap price, friendly staff, good location”
the hotel is new and the facilities is good. The price is cheap, just 600peso for a room with 2 or 3 people. Nice lobby so we can check mail with the computer or eat there. The staff is very friendly. We checked out around 5 am and he prepared good breakfast for us. This location is quite convinient, near the restaurant and shops so you can o around at night. but around 9 pm it is not safe for walking around. We really want to recommend this for my friends.

Clean and great value”
We enjoyed our stay and continued to extend our stay until we have no option but to check out because our room got booked online. The staff were friendly with our young kids and were always there to assist us. The breakfast was included with our stay but only had 2 choices each morning. The rooms were clean, hot shower, wi-fi in the rooms, and air con. Jeepneys don't pass so you either need to take a short walk to the main street or take a Taxi. But, good news…it's a bit secluded so no city noise.

Our flight to Cebu was canceled to the next day and the hotel agreed to change the check-in day for us without paying extra fee. That's super great. The hotel is new and clean in a quiet area. The room is quite small without TV though.

Forced exercise on account of distant location”
Mostly stayed inside the hotel as the location is so inward that with the heat and lack of transport, it is difficult to get out and enjoy the town. Sadly there is no TV in the rooms. The rooms are spartan yet clean and well kept; on the whole, the place is elegant and cheerful but one can have a sleepless night if guests stay outdoors to cool down and sip drinks because one hears all the talk from inside the room. What one saves from the reasonable price, one shells out by paying more for taxi fare since one has to get out for meals (the offerings inside the guesthouse are limited).

A little out of the way”
The staff were really friendly but guys, you put the tv way too loud in the lobby, you had hear it in the morning before we get up. Also the security guard at the door puts a radio on of which you can hear from some rooms. People need to sleep! The location can be hard to find for taxi drivers so perhaps try to print out a map before you get there and make sure you have the phone number, it doesnt seem to be on the agoda form when you book. Also its probably not the best place for solo females as its in a dark quiet area. Cebu city is a bit freaky at night. Enjoy!

Hidden Gem”
A 15-minute walk from the city center. Near bars and nightlife. Suggest to put a more visible road signs so people wouldn't have to guess. We had a very nice stay overall. The staff was friendly and very helpful in getting a cab whenever we need one (even at 2am!).
