    Acceptable”
This was one of the cheapest hotels I found in San Francisco. I was not expecting too much, however, there are some things that are expected when paying for a place to stay--cleanliness and common courtesy. My boyfriend had to kill about 4-5 roaches. When we called the office, the staff was rude and eventually hung up the phone. Our issue was unresolved. We decided to stay since we were only staying one more night and decided it wasn't worth the fight. One of our towels was stained. The refrigerator leaked. The aircon unit couldn't be adjusted fully. The hallway near the ice machine smells like urine. The area is loud, which is out of their control. The female staff member during breakfast was really nice. Although, I can't say anything positive about the others really. If you want to just crash after a long day and can sleep through noise and bugs, this place will do the trick. I didn't have bed bugs so that is a plus. This is definitely the worst place I've ever stayed.

    Helpful reception staff”
The hotel looks more of an old motel. But the saving grace would be the very helpful staff at the reception who happily assisted us and answered all our questions and concerns. Sanjeev, Juliana and the Filipino male receptionist (Mr. Manalo I think) are all worth commending!

    Worse Hotel Book Another”
    Free Breakfast
Been using Agoda for awhile and this is one of those worse experience, lets start with frontdesk who give me a double bed when i book the king bed, i let it pass though, when i get to the room the fan in the bathroom make a loud noise and called for help, two hours later no help so just decided to let it pass again, next morning i got knock on the door saying i should be out for checkout when i book two nights, the old lady order i should go to frontdesk like can i call i just woke up, in my pajama i go to frontdesk and clear it up, very rude experience. The location is not even close to BART as the site indicate you either walk 30 mins or just take Uber. Thin walls you hear the people on the top floor doing the naughty, so better have the TV loud, outside its also noisy with police car patrolling and all. The room and the sheets was not good, the bed was bad for your back. Rather book this if your just passing by, but staying more than a night will be a nightmare, worse staff by far.

We didnt even stay a night.”
    Price
We checked out before spending a night here. The location is sketchy and we were told by a taxi driver that the hotel is pretty much a crack den. Loads of dodgy characters around. The check in took ages as the guy behind the desk appeared to be new, which can't be helped i guess. It's only redeeming feature is that it is close to a tram stop.

A nightmare stay- don't book this hotel”
New manager might be able to turn things around
Our flight landed late so we arrived at around 1:00am for check-in. It all started with the attendant at the welcome desk who was really slow to respond and seemed to be on a personal call. Never a proper greeting, thank you or anything nice to say. In one word, rude. The room was very basic: added features included the following: plugged up toilet, lightbulb missing from lamp, ceiling so thin that bare walking upstairs sends tremors below, telephone not working and unable to connect, window onto the street enabled us to follow entire conversations from passers-by, "no disturb sign" not available (room service came twice to make sure that our morning catch up sleep would be disturbed), red mold around bathtub, trash beside the garbage outside room left untouched even when mentioned to attendant. The best was that, at 3am, we were awoken to what we assume were junkies banging violently at our motel door. They kept yelling at us to open our door- we kept telling them that they had the wrong room. They kept banging. They must have been drugged, drunk or both. Since the hotel phone wasn't working, we used our international cell phones to call 911. Police showed up promptly 15min later. The druggies dispersed. From discussions with Police, our neighbor was also awakened. I am guessing the night attendant was fully aware... but we never heard a peep from him. For all these reasons or any one of them, never come to this hotel. I don't understand why is listing it anyways, in particular for the price that it was listed at. Maybe the new manager (2 days in the job) we met the next day will turn this place around. In the meantime, be aware.

I would not stay here again !!”
The staff were helpful and the room was clean, breakfast was basic but sufficent. Although the breakfast room was too small and needed more tables as we had to wait each morning for a table to become free. This area in Market Street is very dodgy as there are a lot of vagrants sleeping rough in tents, drug addicts and drug dealers. The Travelodge is used by prositutes and pimps and drug dealers which the hotel management obviously are aware of. We felt quite intimidated during our stay and made sure we were back before dark, as these people would often approach us for money etc. People who also knock our door and try to get in during the night, they would shout and fight all night outside on the carpark. Which was quite unsettling. We would not stay in this hotel or this area again.

Cons: if you need an iron, its best for you to take one or purchase one. $20 just to rent an iron and ironing board is outrageous! If you drink coffee, make sure you ask for more packets, as the ones in the room are not enough. Pros: Room was clean

    Bad hotel experience ”
When we first got there the two gentlemen did not know what they were doing or had any customer service knowledge. They couldn't find my reservation so we had to wait an hour and a half. Second, we were charged for parking! Third, the power went off in our rooms, and our room key was not working properly. It was so frustrating and not a great hotel. Honestly I won't be staying here ever again.

Crack head chewing on her gums and going through the trash right after I walked out of the reception to check in. Old and insanely outdated. Just spend a little more and stay somewhere else. Even if it's by the airport and you need to jump on the BART.

Cleaning staff and desk persons sketchy”
Luckiky i took pics of my room. Of course the maid claimed i trashed the room and have to pay 50 bucks damages to towels. Cheap ratty mismatched towels that were stained with lipstick. Long story.... I was prodded to pay my deposit cash.... The clerk literally directed me to three different cash machines rather than swipe my card. At check out I now know why. Seems like I outsmarted a scam contrived to skim a few bucks. Dodgy and a procedure that was off kilter and flat out untrue. Glad I trusted my instinct and covered my tsil. Other than that.... It was worth the price.... Because the price was low. .It is a ghetto run chain hotel.... None of the benefits of a chain and intrusive loud staff. I don't reccomend unless

I bought my overnight stay via a god a on line. When I checked in, there was an additional 50 dollar hold put on my cc. This credit card hold had not been mentioned prior to my checking in, and even though i checked out sunday, the amount held was not released from my visa by mo day... no mo ey was released. In addition, the parking g cost $15 dollars, but the parking was safe and close to my room. The room was ok I side. However, even though I had asked for a quiet room, mine was on the ground floor at the foot of the stairs. People were loitering and partying in front of my room window all night. When I stopped I to the office in the morning k g, asking for a late check out because I was sleep deprived, I was told "no," but I finally talked the clerk into a 1130 checkout. It wasn't much, but it was something. However, the clerk failed to communicate that to the housekeeping staff, so they Pou dedicated on my room door 4 times from 9 am until 1130 Not a restful place.
