Budget Hotel at it's best”

Travelodge City Centre in KL situated near to Central Market, Pasar Seni and Petaling Street. That's like THREE tourist attractions in one places. Recommended to All Travellers be it Solo or with Spouses or with Families. The room was sparkling clean and Spaces were duly used to it's maximum. Price for a night super affordable. Even have Powerbanks to be lend for RM1. The surrounding areas have 24hr Eateries, 7/11, KK Mart so no worries for late night snacks..

Brand new hotel in great location”

Clean and large rooms, wifi in room, plus two pcs provided next to the reception desk in case your business laptop blocked the wifi service

i have tried 3 different hotels in my recent trips to kuala lumpur. hotel geo is really the best in terms of location. don't be mistaken those hotels near kl sentral station are easy commute. they are not. you have walked a long way and really inconvient. although hotel geo is a lrt stop (red line) away from kl sentral, the hotel is next to pasar seni station, really convienent. at night you could go the central market, just opposite the hotel, or have dinner or walk in chinatown or it's nightmarket. my room is very clean and very comfortable and quiet, large window as well. a lot of hotels in kl are windowless! although no breakfast provided, there are so many places you can eat nearby, i don't see any down side.

Nice budget hotel in good location”

Proximy to buses and trains, Clean hotel, Good security

We enjoyed staying in Chinatown at Hotel Geo. it's a very nice, clean budget hotel, which is convenient to public transportation. The Hop On, Hop Off tourist bus stops right outside the hotel and it's a quick walk to the Central Market and Petalang Street, which features great local food. The China town section is not as nice as the upscale business or shopping sections of town, but it feels more authentically Asian and offers great values. Our only minor complaint about this hotel is the 'wet room' style bathroom, where every inch of space gets wet while taking a shower. This is fairly common in budget accomodations in Asia though, so not a big deal. We recommend hotel Geo for a nice, clean place to stay while exploring Kuala Lumpur.

location and staff

Hotel Geo: Kuala Lumpur This is a wonderful budget hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Located across from the Central Market and a few steps from LRT Pasar Seni Station, which is only a couple of stops from KL Sentral. The main post office is nearby, a short walk across a canal bridge. The National Mosque is maybe a ten minute walk depending on your walking stride. You also have the souvenir and al fresco Chinese restaurant street Jalan Petaling a couple of blocks from the hotel’s front door. Service from the front desk was top drawer. When I requested a room change so that I could view the National Mosque’s blue dome from my window, the front desk staff did it for me within minutes. I stayed here for a week. Great stay! Worth every ringgit!

Pros- location next to Chinatown and short walking distance to old historical Kuala Lumpur. Facilities in room excellent and a very comfortable stay. Cons- late night staff when we checked in not particularly helpful. E.G not given WiFi password, told about breakfast and no guidance at check in about the local area. Awesome Location & Close to Public Transportation”

Location, Value, Close to public transportation

This hotel was a great find. It isn't within casual walking distance to main attractions, but the metro and the free Go KL bus are at the hotel's doorstep. The metro stop, Pasar Seni, is just around the corner from the hotel (practically a few minutes walking distance). The free purple GO KL bus that can take you all around the city for FREE stops right outside the hotel so it's easy to get to KL tower or the Petronas Twin Towers for free from the hotel. There's also a Texas Chicken restaurant connected to the hotel (similar to KFC) and a small 7-Eleven across the street from the hotel. Everything is easily accessible from this hotel because of it's proximity to public transportation. It's easy enough to catch the KLIA Ekspress train to KL Sentral and then catch the metro to Pasar Seni and walk to the hotel (if you don't have too much luggage). The hotel itself is clean and well kept. The room was spacious enough with a nice-sized wardrobe, a desk space and even complimentary water, tea and coffee with a hot pot. There's no fridge and the TV has very limited channels, but other than that things were great. The wifi could be faster, but it worked. The bathroom is not as small as I thought it would be due to other people's reviews. Yes, the shower is not a separate space so the water can wet the sink and toilet area, but it's not that different from other hotels in this price range in Southeast Asia. The shower had a nice rain shower head with plenty of pressure and hot water. The beds were nice and comfortable and the a/c worked well, even a bit cold, but great sleeping conditions. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its value and the ease of getting around the city with its location.

This hotel located very strategic in chinatown area, very near to Pasar Seni LRT&MRT Station, especially LRT Pasar Seni north exit, just a few steps. This hotel also very near to Petaling street night market, lots of delicious food around hotel. Both bedroom and bathroom are clean, lightning excellent, view from window also great. Beds are nice & comfortable, staffs are polite and helpfull. Overall we very satisfied and really reccomend this hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Convenient Location for Everyone”

Friendly staff, close to public transport, nice view

A short stay for 1 night. Great view of the old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station and vicinity if you don't mind the sound of the LRT zipping past at night, which was not too loud actually. The lifts operate really efficiently - tap your card on the reader inside the lift and your floor immediately gets selected for you. Rooms were clean, there are stickers on the window telling you not too open your windows for too long to prevent insects from coming in. You cannot open them fully though, probably for safety reasons. The airconditioning does its job in cooling down the room anyway. 3 power sockets were provided including 1 international socket. Complimentary instant coffee, tea and mineral water with hot water boiler in the room. No minibar to chill drinks. 1 dispenser of combined shampoo and body wash provided at the shower which was a little hard to press. The hotel is 1 station away from KL Sentral which offers easy access to the airport by train or shuttle bus. Taxis to Subang Airport (Firefly, Malindo Air, Berjaya Air etc.) cost RM34 from there by taxi coupon. Cross the road to Central Market, or walk 2 minutes to Petaling Street if you're looking to head somewhere touristy near the hotel. Hop on to the free purple GOKL bus just outside the hotel for access to Bukit Bintang. 3 LRT stations away from KLCC, Petronas Twin Towers.

Loved and Never Lost”

We loved my stay so much! I stayed in this hotel twice before when it was GEO and I must say Travelodge City Center. Is a wonderful improvement. Especially the fine dinning we experience. That was a highlight of our stay. And the staff were wonderful. The room was very clean and quite. The only complaint I had was the TV. Not enough stations. 8 in all and 3 were in Malay. So More stations Please. But Security was top notch and the options at front desk were so suited for our travels. I defiantly will stay again.

Another Great Stay!”

We have stayed at the Travelodge numerous times and we’ve always been happy with our stay. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and very helpful. We would definitely recommend getting the included breakfast, which is a buffet at the restaurant downstairs. John, in the restaurant, is exceptional at providing outstanding service. Great location, easy access to public transportation, the Central Market, Petaling Street and Chinatown. You can’t go wrong with this hotel!

Great location, helpful staff”

The location of this hotel could not have better for what we wanted!

Hotel GEO is in Chinatown which is a must for most people on their sightseeing itinerary. We knew from the reviews that the location would be convenient to Central Market (across the street), what we didn't know is that it is literally *right there* when you come down the stairs from the Pasar Seni KL MRT station and one or two blocks from Petaling Street and all it has to offer. The hotel is also less than a block away from a bus interchange where you can grab the free bus that you can take to other parts of the city. That being said, we had no problems with noise or shaking from the MRT trains or traffic in the area. Our rooms were clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The staff were helpful and the hotel was accommodating with bag storage (we got in very early in the morning from Sentral Station and they let us check in early and then we didn't leave until 11pm on our way out of KL and we stored our bags until about 9pm). We didn't eat in the hotel so I can't comment on the food. We tend to not eat in hotels — there are so many food court and street food options in Chinatown, I can't imagine eating in the hotel! A pool would have been nice but we really don't have any complaints!

Pleasant stay, busy location”

Friendly reception staff, clean room, okay location

nice room for the price. clean with cable tv and wifi that worked! i noticed some grumbles in other reviews about the size of the bathrooms - yes they are small but very functional, and the shower head is high enough for a tall westerner. the two guys on reception the evening we checked in were very friendly and helpful - we've been staying in malaysian hotels in this price range for the past few weeks and friendly / helpful reception staff seems to be sadly a rare thing. the location is convenient - right opposite central market and a short walk to chinatown, but there is a very busy clump of bus stops right outside the front door which made it all a little manic. note: we didn't eat at the hotel or use any facilities other than our room - but rating these is non-optional :( so we gave them a 4 as the restaurant was busy.

Unbeatable location with great customer service”

Location to Metro & Attractions, Friendly and attentive staff, Easy check-in

I had nothing but a great experience at Hotel GEO. It's perfectly located straight off the Pasar Seni metro stop which made it extremely easy to find. Pasar Seni is also only a few stops from other great areas of Kuala Lumpur, so getting around from the hotel is rather easy. It's also blocks away from China town, which is a major attraction in itself with the day and night-time markets and great food. The staff were very friendly and internationally trained. The hotel room, though a bit small was perfect for me since I was traveling alone. It had everything I needed.

Great location, Just right for the budget”

Location! Walking Distance near Cnetral (Art) Market, and Chinatown, and the train station.

The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. No complains about the service. The location is its best feature as we could walk to the Central Market (right across the street) and Chinatown, but it's not right in the hustle and bustle of it. The proximity to the LRT station is fantastic. The room is not very big but I've been in smaller ones in Hong Kong and Japan. There's quite ample walking space. The room was stocked with kettle, tea/coffee making facilities and drinking water. No refrigerator or safe. The hotel was about 6 weeks old so the coffee house was not opened yet. But that gave us a chance to visit the local restaurants in Chinatown where there's great food. There's a terrace on the 2nd floor which allowed us a good view too. We also love the availability of the parking lot in the basement. There's a 7-Eleven across the street which is real convenient (24 hours) The only 'problem' I encountered is that the room access card only allowed us to go to the floor that our rooms are on. This made it difficult to visit friends who were on another floor. We had to use the staircase. But it was not too inconvenient. We had quite a good deal from Agoda for this.

STRATEGIC LOCATION AND CLEAN”

LOCATION, CLEANNESS, AND STAFF PERFORMANCE

GEO is a very nice hotel with great location, helpful staff, very clean hotel and very quiet during night time. The carpark is at basement, very small carpark but sufficient parking lot with security. The hotel is very clen, and i can always see the cleaners doing cleaning around. Staff are very helpful. Breakfast choices are very limited. Is a better if you can have breakfast outside as the choices are really limited and repeating everyday (fried rice/mee, tomato egg, fish ball, and fried egg, gardenia bread and thats all ) Will come back to stay GEO hotel in my future visit to Kuala Lumpur as besides breakfast, i cant find any other reason not to stay here

Located in Chinatown, Walking distance from Pasar Seni Station and Kuala Lumpur Station

It was great. - Hotel room has excellent air-conditioning. - Shower and toilet is clean - No complaints with the bed. - Commute is easy from here. There's a bus terminal just behind the hotel, the GoKL free bus that takes you to the tourist spots in KLCC and Bukit Bintang is also in this terminal. If you don't want to take the bus, the LRT stations are also near the hotel, i.e. Pasar Seni Station and Kuala Lumpur station. - Petaling Street where you buy cheap goods is walking distance from the hotel. Same as the Central Market.

Nice hotel at the center of KL”

Location, staff and clean rooms

I was glad of their facilities especially the free secure luggage storage. When we had to go to Penang, we left our big bags at their luggage area which only the staff can access. When we came back (we had another reservation with them), we got the bags and its content in one piece. When our checkout came, we had the bags stored again so we can roam around KL one last time and got it just before our flight. I even asked to use their restroom so we can freshen up before the flight. The hotel is a stone throw away from Petaling St (Chinatown), Sri Mahamariamman Temple and Central Market. The staff were competent enough to answer our questions regarding directions and even gave some tips regarding the must sees. One plus regarding this hotel is that it is near the LRT Pasar Seni station (which is a station away from KL Sentral, the transportation hub), KTM Komuter Kuala Lumpur Station (which travels to Batu Caves and Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, the southern buses' main hub) and the hub for RapidKL bus and the GoKL free city bus.
