Good hotel-good helpful friendly service”
We arrived in Rockhampton,on a hot sunny afternoon to be greeted at the Travelodge,,by a friendly smiling receptionist. After settling into our room,we then were lucky to be assisted by the receptionist, with helpful directions,to points of interest in the town, together with advice on restaurants and cafes for lunch and dinner. She was able to also give us clear directions,in how to drive to some appointments that we had made across town. We found that we had no problems in following her directions and arriving at our scheduled interviews. This of course, was a great help and meant that we experienced no delays,in an unfamiliar town. The receptionist was also very kind in offering suggestions,as to other sightseeing points of interest,in the short time we were to stay in Rockhampton. She was able to give my daughter, some contact people to talk to,to help her settle into a new work and living environment. When we needed additional items for our stay in the room, our requests were met with prompt attention and service. This was very pleasing as the hotel was fully booked for the entire period of our stay.It was a very good location for walks along the riverfront and the view of the river from our balcony was excellent and relaxing.
Very comfortable stay. Rockhampton itself was a ghost town during the Christmas break and we were just passing through, so we decided to stay in and enjoy the reasonably priced room service. My partner had the biggest chicken parmi we have ever seen! The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and had plenty to choose from. A great hotel in an average town!
I had a wonderful time at Travelodge Rockhampton. The location is perfect being close enough I could walk to my client (Alma St) when I needed to and also food and dining locations. It's far enough away from the main street to also be away from the noise of the road trains. Overall it was a lovely experience I will certainly be returning next time I'm in Rockhampton.
Value for money”
Great stopover in comfortable room. Value for money in excellent location in heart of Rockhampton.
Room service has ceased to operate as has the restaurant and bar. Free internet was a disaster. If you are coming to Rockhampton on business you may want to explore other options.
Great location and facilities”
Try Saigon Saigon a Vietnemese Restaurant on the river in easy walking distance to the Travelodge, Walk along the Fitzror River and observe the local wildlife and inhabitants gathering for family get togethers
Nice location, good rooms.”
A standard hotel room with all expected amenities. Had a good view of the city and sunset from a high level room and I would guess the view of the river on the other side would be good as well. No restaurant but close to riverside eateries so not a problem.
Very enjoyable too short I will definately stay at the Travelodge again
Good location, OK for price”
the hotel was ok for the price, the room was clean, modern-looking and well furbished, though quite small. as another reviewer noted, they could do with more parking space. it was perfectly fine for an overnight stay.
Guys, the days of not offering decent Foxtel/Netflix or similar but instead charging 16 bucks for a movie are long gone. The room whilst not horrible is quite pokey, but still otherwise does the job although one wonders if the cluster of electrical piggybacks meets code? Furthermore, most hotels take the trouble to put some cold water in the fridge for your arrival and turn on the AC. When I arrived it was late afternoon with western sun beating down on the room and it was pretty damn hot in there! Then there is the fact that the hotel is undergoing extensive renovation. It might be a little more transparent to make people aware of this before they book. None of the above is hard to fix up guys, hope Travelodge Rocky try a little harder in future.
Best Rate Offered”
My stay in the hotel was wonderful, the services provided was absolutely fantastic. During my seven days stay in the hotel, every morning I had breakfast which was great and when I return after work, there will always be a counter staff who will smile at me whenever I enter the lobby.
Lovely hotel and service with a smile"”
a very nice hotel to stay in ,the room was very nice but the bar-fridge and other offers (foods ) i found to be way too expensive ex: mars bar for $7 ....bag of jellied snakes $7 ....so went elsewhere for a bit of snacks .
lovely hotel at great location”
The room was surprisingly nice and hotel was easy to find, yet my room was on second floor, there was no harbour view outside .
Have no problem with the accomodation but I left my toiletry bag in the bathroom with a few expensive items in it I know exactly where I left it realised as soon as I came to unpack at home. I rang Travelodge they said they couldn't find it and that was that. Not impressed because we left the motel and went straight home it could not possibly be anywhere else.
Great location with river view. Walking distance to shops and restaurants/pubs. Room was basic but very clean and recently painted. Staff very friendly and helpful especially Justin. Ordered dinner through room service - absolutely delicious, restaurant quality. Thankyou.
Very nice hotel. good size rooms”
Second time we have stayed here. We usually do a weekend getaway. The hotel always provides we need. And the breakfast bar is awesome
Attention to detail”
On entering our room it was clean and tidy, however, once settled in there were a couple of things I noticed that made me cringe. The first was the back of the bathroom door just below the handle on the inside it was black from finger marks when people closed the door behind them I thought this unhygienic also the curtains were dirty.
You get what you pay for”
Definitely a must do if you are on a tight budget, the rooms are small, but very cheap. Good location in the city centre and business district.
Convenient location for our road trip”
We stopped at this hotel as part of our road trip from Brisbane to Cairns. Can't fault it for convenience and location - right by the river and very central. We did not utilise it but there was a small pool with sun loungers and a BBQ area to cook your own food - the hotel provide the utensils. This was a one night stop and did the job perfectly.
Clean, Close to Mall, Nice Pool”
Great stay overnight for work. Car park was full so had to park in the alley out the back :( Room service was prompt and of a good standard. Pool was warm and clean. Lovely clean, modern room, will stay here again.
