In just a week, I immersed myself in the vibrant energy of Kuala Lumpur before venturing to Singapore to savor its amazing marvels and delightful cuisine. All accommodations, from cozy retreats to city comforts, were seamlessly booked via Agoda. Two nations, countless cherished memories!
Touching down at KLIA2, I chose a cab to Hotel Royal Kuala Lumpur for comfort. Traveling via FREE GO KL bus, I marveled at the KLCC Twin Towers and shopped in KLCC Suria Mall. I booked my KLCC Twin Towers tickets through Agoda for convenience. I highly recommend staying at the Hotel Royal Kuala Lumpur, but I would also suggest Verdant Hill Hotel and The Robertson for diverse options.
I embarked on the Batu Caves and Genting Highlands Tour, enjoying a seamless journey from Kuala Lumpur. By prebooking this excursion, I ensured an early start to explore these iconic attractions hassle-free, immersing myself in Malaysia’s natural and cultural wonders.
On Day 3, I boarded a bus from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore and checked into Hotel 1900 in Chinatown, a minute’s walk from the MRT. Along with Hotel 1900 @ Chinatown, I highly recommend Hotel Dash Living Rochor and Hotel Mono for excellent stays. In the evening, I marveled at the mesmerizing Spectra – A Light & Water Show at Marina Bay, wrapping up the day with pure enchantment.
After topping up my EZ card at the MRT, I ventured to Harbourfront, then hiked to Mount Faber to bask in nature’s beauty. Taking a cable car to Sentosa, I immersed myself in SEA Aquarium, Madame Tussaud, the Giant Swing, Wings of Time, and Siloso Beach. Plan a full day for Sentosa – the beaches are free! Also, be sure to book Skyline Luge tickets in advance. I later enjoyed an evening stroll and shopping in Chinatown.
On Day 5, I visited Sri Marimamman, Buddha Tooth Relic, and Thian Hock Keng Temples; each offering a glimpse into Singapore’s diverse heritage. In the afternoon, I ventured to Gardens by the Bay, where I had prebooked tickets online to explore the surreal beauty of the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. As night fell, I was spellbound by the magical Garden Rhapsody, as the illuminated Supertrees danced against the stunning Singapore skyline.
The next day, I traveled via MRT to Harbourfront, then shuttled from VivoCity Mall to Universal Studios Singapore (USS). To enhance my USS experience, I bought tickets online and used the USS app to track attraction wait times. Arriving by 9:30 am, I embarked on rides in sequence: Human – Cylon – Accelerator – Transformer – Mummy – Jurassic Park – Canopy Flyer – Shrek 4D – Enchanted Airways – Spaghetti – Lights, Camera, Action.
After breakfast, I took a taxi to the zoo, although you can also go by bus, which takes about 1 hour. I explored the zoo and attended a bunch of shows. In the evening, I returned to the hotel via zoo shuttle and bus. After resting, I headed to Clarke Quay for a boat ride, followed by a visit to MBS Casino where there’s free entry for foreigners with a passport, complimentary drinks, and a $10 playing allowance after registration.
On the final day, I explored the colorful streets of Clarke Quay and the famous Fort Canning Tree Tunnel in Dhoby Ghaut. Later, I enjoyed the panoramic views of Singapore from a double-decker bus, passing between skylines. The breathtaking scenery from the top was unforgettable! In the evening, I caught my return flight back to India, bidding farewell to the wonderful experiences of Singapore.
