Hong Kong is like stepping into a scene from those iconic 80s-90s movies! It’s still got it all: the tight alleyways, steep climbs, and then those tall skyscrapers lining up, side by side… There’s something about the energetic, fast-paced vibe of Hong Kong that just pulls you in.

As soon as I bounced out of the airport, the hot air hit me like a warm hug. Hopped on the AEL (Airport Express) for about 30 minutes, and bam – I was right in the heart of the city, surrounded by red taxis and blingy lights. Yep, definitely in Hong Kong!

Moving around with a sweetie in tow, we went for 60 West Hotel that was both conveniently located and smack dab in the middle of city center. A lot of hotels in Hong Kong tend to be quite small, but this place was surprisingly spacious for the price – perfect for sprawling out with a little one. Talk about bang for your buck – the condition was top-notch!

Soho Street in Hong Kong is a must-visit spot, and let me tell you, the egg tarts at the famous Bakehouse are to die for. Seriously, do yourself a favor and try them – it’s a must!!! With the crowds and hardly any place to sit, grabbing an egg tart and hopping on the Mid-Levels Escalator is like stepping into a scene from a classic Hong Kong flick. We wrapped up our Soho street adventure with coffee at a cute cafe, chilling the afternoon away.

Heading to Sky Terrace, the loftiest lookout in Hong Kong? You’ve just gotta ride the Victoria Peak Tram. Trust me, the journey itself is a whole vibe. You weave through the embrace of the blue sky and dense trees, and before you know it, you’re peeping at tiny buildings and the vast sea down below. A hot tip? Snag your tickets early to skip the wait with Fast Track admission – This will save you so much trouble!
One more tip! Got a stroller? You can secure it with safety belts on the tram. But a word to the wise – it might get a bit tricky during the bustling evening hours, so keep that in mind!

Hong Kong’s night vibe? Unmissable. Cruise down Canton Road where the luxury life lives, and boom – a wild view spot appears. Scored some delish dinner at Avenue of Stars, all while getting an eyeful of Victoria Harbour doing its lit-up, laser show thing. Ended the night breezing through with a chill walk, sea air vibes and all.
