Great location”
Stayed four nights although was out one night on an excursion. Owner runs place and is great. Hut on river very nice and quiet with patio over river. Clean basic room and good bath although more simple than most hotels. Great food at cheaper than in town prices. Right at the entrance to National Park which I entered for 300 baht and did some jungle hiking. Short walk to small town and other restaurants. All tours pick you up and this hotel has all the options to arrange. Had great two night trip on Lake Chaan which I highly recommend. Would stay here every time.

Recommended”
There are several different types of rooms and bungalows, situated at the river bank, in a large green garden, together with a nice little pool with good deck chairs. It's just at the entrance to the national park, all tours and transport can be booked here as well. Rooms are clean, the cheapest ones (fan) a bit dated, but good value. Staff is friendly, and the restaurant is nice with a terrace right at the creek (food is OK, but there are better options in town). On the negatives, hot water didn't work in the first room, but changing the room was no problem (better if they checked and fixed it first). Room next to the forest and the river means you will see ants and maybe spiders (didn't see monkeys though). If that's a problem for you, perhaps the ac rooms are better suited. Wifi is good, but no internet at all on one of the three days I stayed here.

lovely hotel in the jungle”
unfortunately we stayed there only for one night.and that is because we realised that it was beautiful.the hotel is really good and definitely a value for money.the room was really good ant the place is clean with a helpful staff.the best thing about this hotel is that it is situated in a place where in five min.you can access the most important things of the area.there is a place you must definitely see and visit which is called the monkey swimming hole.it has a fantastic restaurant there.as for the other stuff you ll get money exchange shops next to you, food, rental motorbike shops, bars not so many cause that is not the attitude of the place and travel shops where you can take safari trips or river trips..value for money hotel.

Lovely hotel on the edge of the jungle”
The location of this hotel was really good. If you walked out from the restaurant you were in the national park. There was a stream running out the back of our room and there was a lot of trees and plants around. This made relaxing very easy. The staff were very helpful. We arrived very early in the morning, much earlier than our stated check-in time, and the room was not ready so we were put in another room for the morning at no extra cost. Very pleased. The only downside was that the food was not so good, but there are many restaurants a short walk away.

Awesome ”
Excellent location at the entrance of the National Park, and beautiful surroundings with the river running below our room. Staff were incredibly helpful and we were very happy with the lake tour we booked with them. Enjoyed the luxury of having a pool to dip into!

Amazing place, horrible receptionist!”
Let me start with the only negative... The receptionist where you check in snd out. Her name is Jang or Jung. (Girl with very long fingernails). I have never met a more condescending, rude and unfriendly Thai person in my life (!) and I’ve been to Thailand many times. I stayed at this place twice and at my first check out I asked her, as friendly as possible, why she was not friendly with me. She did not answer but just rolled her eyes at me, clearly annoyed. On the second time I checked out, no eye contact, no hello, nothing. When she gave me back my deposit she said thank you in a tone which made me say: sure! And just made some hissing sounds at me. My resonse: hissed back and said: same to you B**ch! Never in my life! This aside! Rest of the staff, great! Very nice, friendly, helpfull... you name it! Beautiful resort. Great pool. Nice restaurant by the river. Bungalows, roomy and clean. On the door step of Khao Sok national park. Great place, if they would fire the receptionist!

Very nice”
We had a very good value cabin, right beside the river, in a beautiful jungle. Somewhat ricketty, but cheap, clean and characterful. Good value food, friendly staff. Great location right beside the national park entry, at the start of the hikes.

Simple, pleasant, perfect location”
Pleasant enough; simple but very adequate rooms; a few ants, but not an issue. Perfect location, adjacent to the main trail head and the park's visitor center. Gorgeous vegetation, trees, plants. Con: Poor service in the restaurant. While the food was inexpensive and good, they really have you captive here. We waited an hour for lunch, which was a simple salad and chicken with cashews. But the poor family at the table next to us, with three very young children, arrived before we did and still had not been served even after we finished our meal. Other tables experienced the same types of waits. Dinner was quicker, as we were the only people in the restaurant, and came within 5-10 minutes maximum. The food was again fresh and well prepared. Be prepared for leeches on the trail. These are no problem or danger. You likely will have a few on you, but they're small and easily dismissed.

very pleasant”
Great spot on the river and next to park entrance. Nothing flash but clean and quiet and staff happy to please. Place is run by one young guy who does everything, he needs help so you have to wait for service but when you get it it's good.

At the front door of the national park”
We arrived at 10pm and all the lights were out, we had to wake them up to check in but they were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the air conditioned room which was basic but nice and had a great balcony overlooking a stream out the back. Thai food was average, western food was below average. The staff were fantastic - extremely friendly and helpful with telling us about all the activities in the area even though they knew we had our own car and weren't going to book a package with them. The hotel is right on the doorstep to the national park and about an hours drive to Rachaprapa dam. It's an amazing area with lots of things to do and breathtaking scenery, highly recommended. We only stayed 2 nights but I wish we had about a week there.

Perfect Location, Friendly Staff, Basic rooms ”
In a perfect location right near national park entrance. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Hotel grounds are lovely. Bungalows are really basic with old furniture, but get what you pay for. Ours was £12 a night with a fan... I think the air con ones are a bit newer at £22 a night. Can't really comment on food as we are out but breakfast was good.

Cheap and very cheerful classic Thai style resort”
Great location and very "sabai". This isnt a luxury resort but a very pleasant Thai style resort right on the doorstep of Khao Sok.The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and functional if a little dated. Food and drink is not exorbitant. If you want a pleasant and relaxed budget stop off for your tour of Khao Sok then I can highly recommend this place

Could be nice, but no one takes care...”
We arrived in the evenings after a 6 hours trip.. The website did not tell us to pay the hotel in cash, so we didn't have enough money.. cards aren't accepted. As we were brought to our hut, we were isolated by our luggage and had to take it later with us (the personal does not always think about the steps.. very uncoordinated). We have booked a Superior Hut, but as we arrived, the personal at the reception told us, that ALL rooms are the same. Aha? Why did we need to pay the double price?? The room is a small simple hut in the garden, we had a dirty bed and there were dead flys and other insects in the room...i think they kill them, but are not motivated enough to clean everything?! Couldn't sleep the hole night because there were animals coming into the hut... e.g. geckos... Nice animals, but we wanted to sleep alone. As we complained about the dirt, they just laughed about us and wanted to clean the room... but the dead flys are still on the walls. Would never book it again for this price. Never.

Great location but customer service questionable.”
On the first night we were given a normal bungalow. we don't know why although she moved us for our second night to a tree top hut. the room was lovely with a balcony overlooking the river and a patio on the other side.

Quirky rooms in the jungle”
A quirky place by the river with lots of plants, wildlife and nice places to eat nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful. We booked an amazing daytrip to Khao Sok lake and loved it. We weren't overly impressed with the room, it was quite shabby and dark and the floor was not clean. There were ants in the bedroom and some leeches in the shower room. Also pillow was huge and hard and not comfy! Ok for a short budget stay but don't expect anything fancy! Ask to see the room first as apparently they are all different.

Relaxing jungle hangout ”
Chose this property after a sub par experience at a hostel just up the road. Shared with two other solo travellers. Three single beds, A/C, mini fridge, covered porch out front. The pool was lovely for a lazy afternoon of lounging before setting up a 2 day/1 night tour at the floating bungalows in the park. Set up the tour through the restaurant on the property, as well as all transportation. Overall, excellent stay and I would certainly come back in the future.

Beautiful place to stay”
This room was very nice and clean, reasonably basic but good for the money. It is based inside the National Park just by the visitor centre so very convenient for accessing the park. Surrounded by nice gardens where you can see lots of bugs if you like that sort of thing (which I do). Would definately stay there again.
