The hotel is in a much too touristy neighborhood. Everything is double the price around this hotel. The room is OK, staff is OK, the same can be said about everything about this hotel. It's OK, but not great.
Great satisfaction and please with rooms and staff and food.”
The staff are helpful and friendly at the front desk, help me got a cake at 9.45pm when I checked in on my wife’s birthday. The room was pleasantly surprise being clean and spacious for a family of 3. The food at the terrace restaurant is delicious despite the fact that we were there at 10.20pm when restaurant will close at 11pm. I’m impressed and definitely will choose Tria if I go back to Istanbul.
This quaint hotel was right in the heart of restaurants, shopping, easy walk to blue mosque,Sophia museum ,a small bazar, and easy walk to palace. If your keen to walk like us ,it was easy to go to grand bazar, spice bazar and even cross the river to the tower and shopping galore.
nice communication area
Awesome experience, very helpful staff. Value for money with good breakfast buffet. Will come again definitely
Not a proper hotel”
They offer us another building of hotel and the one is located in their restaurant. The room is freaky small but overall is okay. One of their staff help us carry our luggage to the room so service is ok but the size of the building really small. However, we are just looking for a hotel to sleep after long flight so we didn’t expected so much.
Terrace, terrace, terrace”
The guesthouse has lovely rooms but the best part of the house is the rooftop terrace. It has wonderfull panorama. There is a restaurant up there where the guests can have their breakfast. It is very special.
Friendly staff, amazing location, a must book!!”
This is an amazing location. It’s walking distance from all of the major sites and is beautifully decorated with flowers. The room is spacious, clean, and the AC works well! We received an upgrade for our room, so the review is based on that. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure your day is well spent and they will answer all of your questions. We were unable to stay for breakfast, so I cannot provide an accurate review on that, however the staff made us sandwiches for our 4am departure so we could have something on the road! I highly recommend :)
Tria Hotel, they have a very good staff, very accomodating, good services. First day we came they give us full information what to during our istanbul visit. They have rooptop restaurant with very nice view facing to the sea and on another aide facing to the blue mosques and very good ambiance.
Tria Hotel, i could say people are very nice, very accommodating, good services. First thing when we check in Mr. Arhan was in the reservation that time, He give the best service. On our arrival he offer something to drink while re-confirming our booking, after he arranged, he asked if its our first time then we said yes. He offer us the best tour that tourist dont missed it and that was fantastic. 2nd we we enter the room its not according to my booking wich is sea view so he moved us the room where we will enjoy our stay. Thank you tria for having a very good staff, even the bill boy, the waiter, specially in the restaurant, they even provide people who can translate english. Most of thier staff understand english. Place is not in the center but if you are looking for full assistant, they will do it for you. Highly recommended and we gonna stay again with my children.
get far from this fake 4 stars hotel !! ”
I've booked 3 nights in this 4 stars Hotel, when we arrived they decided to give us a room in completely different building has nothing to do with the property tria, looks like hidden appart rooms, we were so tired after long trip and it was late at night, I had no time to argue. Next day I asked them to change my accomodation according to my booking, they did but the room was so small and in the backside, noise from AC ventilators and very dirty views from the other back sides building. The hotel facilities are so poor, honestly I was in hostels much better than this so called 4 stars Hotel!!!. In summary it's a Bad experience with this Hotel property. I forgot the noise made by cleanning ladies in the mornings. Unbelievable!!
Good stay but it's not a four star”
Stayed six nights here. Breakfast at rooftop was good & the view from it was amazing. This is the only highlight of this hotel. Sultan ahmet area is close to all nearby attractions & all other hotels are nearby. For this price one can get a better option. Room was small. Water drain at shower cubicle was clogged-we told at reception but got no help. Staff helped us go around, gave us a map that helped us a lot.
Value for money”
Good location. Near local restaurant and Korean/Chinese restaurant as well. Friendly and helpful staffs. Allow earlier check in which is very helpful to match with differential flight timing. From hotel to Hagia Sophia it’s only 7m Walk. To taksim have to take cab and spend maximum 30lyra even for peak and bad traffic. To airport it’s 60lyra. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning with terrace view. Stay at top floor near to terrace restaurant can be noisy at night if there is a party. But noise stopped around 11pm. Room/condition condition is abit run down and with damp smell. Cheap minibar.
nice hotel with excellent location and great breakfast on terrace but rooms v small and washroom small too.. hotel surrounded by many restaurants and tourist attraction sjtes but only negative point is the extra small rpom..
Great location ”
The location of the hotel is superb; in the perimeter of tourist square where the main attractions are; beautiful buildings with great history and plentiful of shopping and eating areas. We ate at the hotel' s terrace and was awed by the great view of the sea.
Ideal location for the sights”
It seems all the hotels here are very small but rooms were of a decent size. This hotel is tucked away but was very impressive for what we paid too. The location is perfect to see most of the sights in the area. The staff were super friendly and looked after you well. The restaurant on the roof has nice food with a great view of Istanbul. If i'm ever back, I will book here again for sure!
great location and staff”
At this point in time, Tria has been wonderful value, but Im here now and due to terror attacks and political issues Istanbul is empty of tourists so all hotels are as much as 80% discounted! Its a lovely restored old wooden Ottoman house with rooms on 4 floors, each room is a bit different . I have stayed in several rooms this trip. The first was a superior grade room , yet the room was stuffed full of old fashioned useless furniture which took up all the space. The small bathtub also leaked and flooded the bathroom. The second room we had was so small, and had various things wrong with it, so staff changed us to a nice room - decent size, comfortable and mostly quiet. The side street the hotel is on is a quiet one, but try to stay on an upper floor as those are more quiet. Breakfast is good and substantial and definitely take a meal on their rooftop - good food and great view comparable to nearby rooftop venues. The hotel reception staff all speak good English and are really helpful. Hotels in Sultanahamet are so many , and all quite similar, but I gather that Tria is one of the better established and well run ones. Some maintenance is needed, but that is par for the course with an older historical property. We enjoyed our stay a lot.
Nice place, nice staff, great location”
It's a great location in the Old City and you can walk to all the main attractions quite easily. The rooms are simple and small - this is not a luxury hotel, but clean. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was very good as was the coffee. The staff were helpful, but not overly so. The cab they called for us was someone they knew and not a good cab driver. The tours they booked were average and clearly not the best available. I was disappointed to see they'd closed off the roof terrace and turned it into an enclosed restaurant. A roof terrace to hang out on would have been a delight, but there are chairs and tables out on the street (quiet street). So a few things weren't as expected, but for the price the Tria is a wonderful deal.
Great location, fantastic service”
We were on our honeymoon trip to Istanbul, Tria Hotel was our first hotel whilst there, so as you can imagine expectations were high for a 4 star hotel. Although we were surprised to find it a quaint hotel secluded from the main street, we were impressed by the level of service rendered by the front desk (esp Birol) who made our stay all the pleasant. Breakfast is not lavish but just fulfilled our requirements. The restaurant on the top floor terrace services delicious meals for a decent price with a nice view of the Bosphorous.
