Very good”
Nice little hotel, right on the beachfront in a good part of Trincomalee. Quiet neighbourhood with a few other hotels and guesthouses around, plus little fishing cottages and a fantastic beach. Clear water to swim in and plenty of opportunities for diving and snorkelling either in the nearby rocks, or with local operators running boat trips out to Pigeon Island, and 'trips round the harbour' sort of thing. Very low key and friendly. The staff can't do enough to be helpful, and to make you feel very welcome and at home. Very good. Restaurant food seemed a bit limited, and mainly European, but the dining room was very clean and the staff were always on hand to get you whatever you needed. I was there in late March, before it gets busy, and it was great.

Nice location but not clean”
Trinco beach hotel was just bang on beach and we got a free upgrade to sea facing room as the rooms were not filled. Loved the view. TV cable was not working, room was not clean and with lot of ants. Internet was only at common area, but as there was not many guests and we requested for wifi, hotel staff shared their router t our room and we got wifi at room!! We were just sitting and enjoying at the sea facing balcony and rest never became a concern. Recommended for beach lovers.

Fine for several days. Friendly staff. Good location. We were in winter, but bathed in the sea every day. Small number of foreigners in the area.

Restaurant and breakfast not good at all . Juice as well. It is a shame because it could be a very good hotel . The location is great and the rooms are good ! Great bathrooms

Sea View Deluxe Balcony

We booked this hotel (Sea View Deluxe Balcony) and received confirmation from Agoda weeks in advance. We booked a Deluxe room as a treat for the last two days of our holiday (after backpacking). When we arrived the staff were rude and made us wait for an hour before telling us that the air conditioning in our room had broken so they had to give us another room (a standard, room 102). We asked if we could see the Deluxe room with the broken air conditioning (as it might have been acceptable to not have A/C). However, it transpired that the 'broken a/c' was a lie and they'd given our room to somebody else. The manager and the deputy manager were rude, unhelpful, and dishonest. There was no apology and we had to argue for a discount for the standard room (as we'd paid for deluxe, and they owed us the refund). The 'standard double room with a balcony' wasn't particularly nice. The balcony door was broken and therefore very unsafe (as we were on a lower floor and anybody from the street could access our unlocked room). We had to repeatedly ask them to fix it, which after 6 hours of 5 different men and boys coming in and out of our room, they were unable to do - so we had to sleep in an unlocked and totally unsecure room. The managers took no responsibility for this. The 'standard double room with balcony' (room 102) also had: - dirty towels - dirty bedsheets - no hot water - poor wifi The next day they said they'd move us to the 'deluxe room', which we hoped would be better than the one we were in. It was hassle to pack up and move but we did so as the standard was so poor. However, they lied about the 'deluxe' room too - it was not deluxe, it was just another double with a balcony. It had a nice sea view, but that's the only good thing that could be said about it. This 'seaview balcony double' room (room112) was very small and cramped and had: - dirty towels - dirty bedsheets - no hot water - ants in the bathroom - no wifi In the meantime we kept asking s

Poor facility ”
We didn't get the room we have booked. After negotiating with the manager there,he gave us a room with sea view like my booking but with a shared balcony. He said some agency has booked many rooms in the hotel so he cannot secure mine… This hotel is barely not qualified for a two star hotel. The facility is really poor and outdated. Anyway, it's not worth the money. Never come back again!

The rooms and facilities in this hotel are worn and dirty. The linens we were provided smelled unwashed, there were lots of insects in the room, and the air conditioner was maddeningly loud. The location is fine, but nothing exceptional. The staff were not helpful at all (to be fair, many of the hotels in the area were booked out and I believe they had a full house as well), and didn't even bother to provide towels until asked twice. We left a night early and ate the cost because we could not stand to be there for another night. This seemed like a promising option for budget accommodation, based on the reviews, but I would never go back or recommend it.
