Fantastic stuff so helpful and very quiet location ”
The staff really stood out here even in Burma where nearly all the hotels that great staff, they couldn’t do enough to help you on reception but also very good breakfast is served. Pool was lovely very clean a oasis in the centre of town
Restaurant food and service were terrible!”
This is the fourth time we stay in this hotel, sadly to say it has changed a lot since our third visit two years ago. The bed was broken with cracking sound each time you sit down on it. The other big disappointment was the restaurant by the pool, which used to be my #1 reason choosing this hotel . We spent about 70 minutes to wait for the food. The fact is, we were the only two customers there whole evening. When the food finally came, we found the fish my husband ordered was not fresh, and my lamb chop was as hard as a rock. Maybe that says it all why they can’t attract customer.
Lovely staff; everything works. A rarity in Myanmar (I have lived here for many years.)”
Everything excellent. Breakfast was tasty. Pool was clean (although I didn’t use it.) Rooms were simple, but clean and not gaudy. For my purposes, place is perfect as my project is relatively close by. Will definitely return.
Pros: restaurant food was good, bed was comfy, location is decent, staff is amazing Cons: bathroom was a bit dirty (hairs all around), pool was shaded so a bit cold Overall: would stay here again
Quite hotel with relaxing pool”
The staff was very helpful and friendly. ATM in the lobby was very convenient. Pool was very clean and relaxing after a busy day in Mandalay. The rooms are big, but the beds are a bit soft. We would come back again
Another excellent stay”
Clean, modern and comfortable. I was in Room 1105, the bathroom had a large tub and two showers. The bed was firm and comfortable. The restaurant food is good and the breakfast is excellent. On arrival there was a smell of drains in the bathroom. This was due to the strange layout of the showers. The one over the bath must be rarely used allowing the water level in the shallow U traps typical of baths to evaporate. Thereby falling sufficiently to allow smells from the drains to enter the room. Quickly corrected and no further smell. The WiFi signal is strong and I had no problems with the free internet. The hotel is located some distance out of the centre of Mandalay. This was never a problem as friendly taxi drivers wait just inside the gate and will do tours or straightforward journeys. Be aware both the taxi drivers and the Hotel want payment in US Dollars (pristine condition) and if you pay in Myanmar Kyats the exchange rate they use is terrible. I have used the hotel twice now. It is much nicer to fly into the country at Mandalay than traffic blocked Yangon. I will definitely stay at the hotel again if my plans to go trekking in Hsipaw come to fruition.
Relaxed and friendly. ”
Repeat visit. Friendly, easy going staff mostly speak good English. Very helpful. Low rise, motel-like in a good way. Big room comfortable. Free cocktail hour nice. Restaurant a bit pricey but has food for all tastes. Limited wine list very expensive. BYO. Can arrange airport transfers. Not in a central location but a cheap taxi can be arranged on the spot.
This is an excellent hotel for the money. It has good facilities, English language skills play a major part of their staff recruitment. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. It is a bit far out of town, a 5000K taxi ride. We ate in one evening and the food was good. We walked to A Little Bit of Mandalay restaurant another night. The food at the hotel was possibly better. The breakfast is the best so far in Myanmar with a good western and Asian choice. Thankfully the hotel has not been spoilt by large tour groups, I hope that does not change.
Great location and good value for money.”
I had a comfortable stay. Even though it's located in a busy place once we get in its quiet and peaceful. Close to all the sightseeing places. Extremely helpful and courteous Staff. I don't think you come across such staff even in 5 star hotels. They always look happy and ready to help with out any expectations. That's the most important thing I noticed in whole of Myanmar. People are warm, kind and helpful.
Clean and quiet place”
I had a really nice stay there. The hotel was quiet, stuff performance was very good and helpful. They also have lots of roses in front of every house, so pretty :-) i will definately go back and stay at this hotel next time i go to Mandalay :-)
I took a 5 hour bus ride from Bagan and the very good thing about the trip fellow foreign passengers were offloaded right to our hotels. There was a little confusion on the part of the driver as to where to drop me not knowing we were already in front of the driveway of the hotel. This hotel is located away from the city center. Food is good although on the expensive side. I was given a room upgrade upon check-in. I did not have a hard time for the city tour as they arranged a cab ( name of driver was MINME contact no 09402510120- hes really good and he knows where to bring his passenger ). Had lunch at Sagaing Hill Restaurant and this restaurant is highly recommended also because of great food for less. Will stay in this hotel again the next time around.
The staff was out of this world helpful. ”
Fantastic. The manager could not have been more helpful in assisting us with getting domestic flights booked and made sure that two days after we left the hotel, the jacket I left in our room was returned to us in a car that the manager had helped us book for another leg of our journey. They were great!
A Must Stay in Mandaly”
A must stay if you plan to visit Mandalay. A pleasant place only 15 minutes away from downtown and noisy traffic. Nice pool, clean and big room and a very nice and efficient staff. Will I go back to Mandalay, I will book Triumph Hotel without any hesitation.
Service and kindness taken to the next level!”
It was so nice to enter Myanmar and visit this hotel. Staff was kind, sweet, accomodating and enthusiastic. It really gave me such a happy feeling. The room is nice and big. Nice wooden floors and good beds. They have special teas in all little jars which is a nice detail. When we arrived lovely fruit, such as melon was served (prepared already) The only downside thing I can think of is that in between the bungalows during the night lights were switched on. Maybe they should dim these.
My son cried when we left his 'favourite hotel'”
My 6 year old son cried when we left and said it was the best hotel he'd ever stayed at as the staff were so kind - they even played football with him to keep him entertained. The a la carte restaurant food was really good and the pool was great for the kids if a little cold. My daughter loved staff member Tun Tun who was very kind to her. One man on duty in reception chased us down in a taxi to give us a free lift as he was worried our kids would find the walk too long to find an ice cream one evening - I forgot to take his name but we were so touched. All in all a wonderful stay - thanks Triumph Hotel. I would recommend you to everyone.
It's very good hotel and staff is also very good. ”
My stay was excellent at Triumph Hotel. It's really nice and I enjoyed my stay fully. The staff is also very good and food available is fantastic. The staff is very much supportive and amenities and services available at room are also very good. The internet connection was also very good as compared to other hotels in Myanmar.
Staff very friendly”
Hotel very clean and quiet. Staff very helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Even found out it was my partners birthday and brought her a cake and sang happy birthday. Rooms very large and we'll equipped. Excellent hotel
Great hotel ”
While I think the location is a bit of the beaten track, it’s an easy walk to the Palace and a lovely walk alongside it. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the outdoor dining room attractive. The staff were uniformly superb. I had left my passport in the room’s safe. I got a phone call while I was on the bus to Bagan, to advise me. The hotel staff put my passport on the next bus, and it was delivered that evening to my hotel in Bagan.
There were positives and negatives to the Triumph Hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable but the drains in the bathroom very smelly. The breakfast was just mediocre. The pool was excellent and the staff friendly.
This hotel has excellent facilities including WiFi. They even have free cocktails in happy hour, free 15 minute massage and a dance show during dinner. The dinner was good value with a good mix of Local and international food. The staff were incredibly helpful and charming. They arranged cheap taxis as well as booked our boat trip. The room was very comfortable.
