Great Location for Romantic Interlude”
We booked the hotel right bvefore the Tet Holiday (chinese new year) which it turned out may have been the vest time of year. With the exception of one other couple I had noticed, we had the entire resort to ourselves. Despite the snow here in Philadelphia, the weather was warm, the sky clear, and the warm a comfortable 80 degrees, the staff was very friendly. The location is rather secluded, not within walking distance to anything except beach. I booked one of the rooms that have a balcony. The extra dollars are worth the view and evening sea breezes. Fortunately, the food in the resort was excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast is complimentary. A weight, room, game room and two pools with jacuzzi, along with the miles of beach provided ample recreation. As we left, the day before Tet, the resort was quickly filling up. Our timing was perfect.

A lover week end in the Vietnam we love, far from the pollution of Saigon, far from the noise and touristic craps of Vung Tau, it was the sun, the south china sea, the beach and us. Very good food in a resort, which is not so common in resort. A lovely place for a lovely week end

Quiet romtantic getaway”
Really enjoyed my stay at the Tropicana in November. Quite windy but the resort itself is very nice. The bungalows were spotless and well equipped. The internet was also fast. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom not huge spacy but nicely designed and most importantly clean. The pool was also quite nice and big. Enjoyed the beach / ocean more though even if it was really quite windy. Resort location is really far off the center of VT. So either prepare to spend a lot of time at the resort itself or to drive a lot of taxi (30+mins to center). The hotel restaurant is ok, decent selection and prices are just a bit above average.

Nice resort”
hotel is nice, rooms are big, cleanness is ok, breakfast is great. Staffs are kind. Nice balcony and view but location is too far, cannot go anywhere by walk. Hotel reccommond taxi is too expensive, it s impossible to find a taxi outside, it s very isolated area. I got very bored to stay there, and in hotel almost noone stay, looks like ghost hotel, maybe I chose the wrong season to come here. it is very windy and cannot swim in the ocean, so dangerous. I am not problem with hotel but I wont stay in vung tau again.

Lovely resort - Cool place to leave”
nice resort at a silent place in town. it has very open environment where we can breathe fresh air. this resort has very excellent service with smiles. service guys can handle extra request fast without any reluctance. resort has very good breakfast buffet with varied type of dishes. the beach is also nice with white sand. really a good place to spend price is affordable and value for money

A perfect Hotel for a restful holiday.”
as regards hotel facilities could not be faulted except for wyfii. hotel was having problems with it. hence i could not use it.if you wanted to shop in vung tau or play golf, you needed to utelize a taxi. a each way.staff were extremely helpful but spoke little english. they would eventually understand what you wanted. i was upgraded to a bungalow which was appreciated by us. bungalow was well appointed and the way to go.

Nice beach, friendly staff, reasonable price”
I have been here for 5 times and I will go back for my upcoming holiday. It is not a new resort but everything is suitable with the price. What I like the most here is the beach. It is long and clean. Early morning the beach is divided into 2 which is very interesting for kids to play at the beach. This location is very peaceful in a small town. You can take 5 mins ride to the town and enjoy fresh seafood. Besides, they also have a large garden for kid to run and play. I love this resort

Great place to get away from Saigon”
this is a second time that we stayed in this resort. we came here not on the weekend so the resort was quiet and empty.we love it! the room is ok. it has everything that we need for 2 days. for the price, there is no complaint. the breakfasts are great. the fresh juices are so good. ask them to make you: pineapple and orange. the beef noodle is the best. the spa is ok and cheap. i think that they should hire more professional masseurs. i love to swim at the beach around 6am. it is awesome. we had very good time here to get away from saigon where is always busy and noisy.

Nice but far from city”
It's a nice place but there is nothing around. The beach is decent and the pool is nice. The staff are nice and try to accommodate your needs. It is 20km from Vung Tau. You can rent a motorbike but they do not have automatics only manuals. You can borrow bicycles and cycle to the town near by.

worn down and dated, but good value for the money”
This place is dated, but the rooms and resort are clean. It is very basic, but good value for the money. It has everything you need and the staff are lovely. Sadly there is a lot of garbage in the South China sea. The staff rake up the garbage, then bury it right back in the beach in front of the resort. It just recirculates. I would have ranked this much higher if they removed the garbage. The food is mediocre. If you need something fancy stay at higher priced resorts. But if you just want to hang out and swim, this place is great. Room 216 is the best!

Tropicana = very nice”
This is the 2nd time I stayed at Tropicana. Both times were very pleasant. Good food in the restaurant, nice staff, lovely landscaping, very comfortable bungalows. The only "downside" is if you want to go into a town; taxi is not readily available. This was ok for me, because we just wanted quiet relaxing time, and that's what we got.

I feel good when staying at this hotel, everything is good but it's far a Vung Tau city so not convenient to go there at night if you want to have exciting night at bar. Anyway, it's very good for relaxing :D

Quiet weekend”
We stayed here 3 times already, the chalet is nice,spacious. We like the quiet surrounding. The only negative thing is the breakfast - not much choice, and if we wanted delivery to the room, there was extra charge. otherwise, we like the resort. The transport to the resort might be a problem for people without cars, there is no public transport and its about 30km from Vung Tau City.

Very relaxing”
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The property was very quiet and secluded. We noticed many families stayed here. The downside is there is no nightlife here and the main tourist area of Vung Tau is a 20-30 minute taxi ride away.

Peaceful paradise”
We went during the week so it was super quiet. We were the only ones on the beach and by the pool during the day. Rooms and facilities are clean and new. The hotel also has spa and massage treatment. It's far from anything so I would suggest you only go there if you want to get away for a few days. Don't expect any nightlife.

the hotel was very quiet as it was just before tet, with only a skeleton staff. however, those who were there were very keen to assist and make our stay enjoyable. the hotel did. not seem to be near anything else but was ideal as a beach relaxation get away.

Great facilities but clueless staff”
We arrived at Tropicana Beach Resort on the 28th of November and there was hardly another guest in the entire resort, aside from a corporate retreat. There was never anybody at the pool or any of the other facilities either during our entire stay there, which was good in a way but felt quite eerie in a way. We lost a jacket at the billiards room on the second day and had a hard time speaking to the resort staff, as nobody could speak English very well. There were helpful but painfully slow in their response.

Lovely and relaxing. Away from all the hussle”
This was quite a long way away from Vung Tau but once you get the ferry and find a taxi who knows where it is, you have nothing more to do than enjoy the sun and relax. There are no stores near by so do a shop before you get there if you want little things to nibble on. Pool lovely but the sea wall was starting to fall down which was a little scary.

tropicana is a lovely hotel which locates in a great place with a nice pool. all members of family can enjoy peacefully. the service is quite good. staffs are good and professional. we really enjoyed our stay.

Good experience in a nice and comfortable resort”
We had a pretty good stay at the resort for a night. Generally, the place is nice and convenient with quiet location, nice landscape, good swimming pools, friendly staffs, and of course, it's just very close to the wonderful beach. The downsides is some appliances may be a bit too old and need to be upgraded such as air conditioner and bathroom accessories.
