Excellent Choice in Kinosaki Onsen”
Our stay at Tsukimotoya Ryokan was excellent. Strongly recommend the dinner (in room) which includes a wide variety of dishes. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The ryokan is centrally located to explore the public onsens in kinosaki onsen. In addition, the ryokan is very clean. Kinosaki onsen is a very attractive place and we strongly recommend staying at Tsukimotoya Ryokan!
Good Location, Nice staff, Strongly Recommend”
Our group of 4 stayed at Tsukimotoya Ryokan for 1 night and it was really good. Breakfast was included in room fee but it's a wide variety of dishes. The staff were very friendly and provided a brief of introduction about Kinosaki, showed us the way to go around with free map. Tsukimotoya Ryokan is centrally located and very clean. Kinosaki onsen is a very traditional and peaceful place.
Exellence Ryokan ”
I spent 2 nights with Tsukimotoya Ryokan. The beautiful place nearby 7 public baths. In my opinion i think that this ryokan is in the centre of kinosaki walkable to 7 baths. The nearest baths named Yanagiyu bath you can walk around 1 min. The owner is very nice. Grandma who provided dinner and breakfast for us is super nice.
Wonderful ryokan experience - highly recommend!”
Our stay at the Tsukimotoya Ryokan was an amazing experience! The service and detail to attention was exceptional - especially the dinner and breakfast service and the bedding set-up. The meals were incredible and the service provided by the woman who served us was beyond expectations! And then to add to this, the experience of being able to visit multiple onsens was a truly relaxing and memorable experience. Well worth the money! Thank you Tsukimotoya Ryokan!
Wonderful Traditional Ryokan Experience”
We stayed at two ryokans in Kinosaki and this was my Favourite! It is a traditional Ryokan with the tatami mats and futons (made up while we were at dinner and removed while we were at breakfast! The ambiance is reminiscent of Shogun but brought up to date complete with the automatic toilet with seat warmer, cleaning spray and dryer - need to learn how to use it! Both the evening meal and breakfast were amazing. I cannot tell you the names of all the fish, seafood and dishes that we ate, but the meals were extraordinary! We were served countless, yes countless, dishes presented with artistry and skill. Once registered, at 3 pm (my only complaint!), guests change into a kimono to walk around town visiting the onsen: the main seven are included with registration. The pass is valid from 3 pm to 10 am the next morning. The cleanest hours in my life as you wash at each onsen and of course the hot springs do the rest. An memorable experience!
Exceptional”
Good value for money. At first, we wondered if the price was too expensive. However, we are very satisfied for what we received at the ryokan. Foods are excellent and abundant. Staffs are nice and enthusiastic. There is hot bath inside the inn, same quality with the public hot spring bath. It was a bit difficult to find the ryokan cuz its located in small street and we couldnt read Japanese direction guide. Anyway, it was a very lovely Japanese experience! Love Kinosaki.
Relaxing ryokan”
First time staying in the ryokan and all the staff is very polite. the grandma who serve dinner and breakfast is a very nice lady and very polite. The staff can speak english. The room is traditional tatami and very clean. the building is well maintained even it’s a bit old. Overall, i enjoy my time in kinosaki and the ryokan experience is very fun. i will be back to kinosaki for sure
Ryokan stay experience ”
5 minutes walk from Kinosaki Onsen station which offered a view of this charming town before arriving at his ryokan. Immediate you be great by the host and usher to your room. Then the host will teach you how to put on your Yukata before off to enjoy 7 unlimited entry onsen which using pass provided by ryokan. Dinner was great with huge serving of fresh seafood and crab before end with Tajima beef rice course. Overall it was very enjoyable as it is our first time stay at Ryokan.
Excellent stay in Tsukimotoya”
It’s a very enjoy stay in Tsukimotoya. The room is super clean, the food is sooo great and they have different menu schedule for different days. Kinosaki is nice, quiet and clean, the Onsen is absolutely wonderful. And the 2 nights stay here is amazing.
Excellent service recommended ”
This is my second stay at Tsukimotoya. i love this ryokan so much. 10 mins walk from station or take shuttle bus more is by taxi 640 yen. You can enjoy 7 hot baths so wonderful. Dinner is very nice !!! The must stay ryokan and the best ryokan ever!!!
One of my best ryokan experience”
Tsukimotoya was the perfect way to experience Japanese Ryokan’s graciousness and a kaiseki meal in an affordable manner. The owner’s English is excellent n he and his staff do all they can to make your stay a memorable one. The 150 year old building is exquisite and the onsen pass is unbeatable. I would return in a heartbeat. I was traveling with a friend n the room was so large - we could spread our futons at opposite ends of the room. We consider our time at Tsukimotoya as one of the highlights of a two week trip.
Nice location at kinosaki”
Perfect location in kinosaki, just easily accessible to all onsen. reception is very kind and warm. Staff is not able to speak english so i just guessing of what she said, but able to communicate since i knew a few japanese words. Food is massive and delicious. I love the bed and pillow, such a local experience!!
Good value”
Price was very good value compared to the other ryokans in the area. Meals especially the dinner were simply amazing. Staff was very warm and friendly. The onsen was small and no one really uses it, but it’s fine cause you can visit all the other onsens with the onsen pass.
Excellent ryokan for couple or even group to chill at the Onsen town”
The location is quite near to the train stations and right outside the ryokan there is one public hot bath and very accessible to other public hot baths as well. We booked with breakfast and dinner included to my surprise that they were served to our room. It was very helpful that there is an English speaking staff that assisted us on our check-in and check-out of the accommodation.
A good place to stay”
The property is a little old and dated, but that makes it interesting in a way I guess. The best thing about the place would be the food - it was a really sumptuous spread and I felt bad about not being able to finish them. The service was attentive and while the ryokan itself didn't have much facilities, we had a memorable experience visiting the onsens around town in our yukata.
Incredible japanese ryokan”
A beautiful and relaxing traditional Japanese inn. Truly Japanese hospitality at it's best. Great food, friendly staff, and Kinosaki is a beautiful.
Exceptional”
Ryokan is cosy. Staffs are very friendly. The whole town is within walking distance. We enjoyed hopping to different onsens. Enjoyed the dinner and breakfast. Great stay!
Good service and staff”
We felt welcomed by the staff or maybe should I say family in this ryokan and our stay was a happy one. Location is not bad, one block behind the river n thus quite quiet. Food was awesome especially the seafood!
Staff take care so good, the place this onsen baht”
The room so cute, the place has small baht room, it can use after for public onsen closed. Location of Ryokan is in center of the city.
Excellent stay”
I stayed for a very good price (breakfast only plan - I don't eat seafood so didn't want to waste money on the full meal plan). Great location - near the middle of town so you can easily walk to anywhere. Very comfortable room - my room as at least 10 tatami mats, with attached private toilet. No problems with noise, although I was staying on the top floor so didn't have anyone above me. Breakfast was great - lots of variety and lots of food. The best part were the staff though - I had a lovely little old lady looking after my room, setting up my bed and bringing in breakfast. They also made breakfast on my second day extra early because I had to take an early train. Loved my stay and would recommend it to anyone.
