Enchanting!”
We had such a lovely time here! We originally booked based on writeups that the hotel is also like a museum with lots old and beautiful artifacts from across the archipelago. It did not disappoint on this score with lots of fascinating objects to see and a great 30 free tour from staff. We also appreciated the amazing perks including a Free 15min welcome massage, daily tea and snacks at 4pm, elaborate breakfast, and bag of coffee nd room oranges. Our room was large and comfortable and pleasantly decorated. The best part of all was the incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. They remembered our names, were humorous, kind, helpful and knowledgeable. It is not a stay we will soon forget. Thanks Tugu!

Exceptional”
We are from Taiwan and have stayed in the hotel from 13 - 14 January. Throughout our stay here, we have received great service from the hotel staff who were really generous and helpful in helping us with everything in Malang. We had the best experience here in Malang and is very happy to have chosen Hotel Tugu. No doubt we will visit the hotel again on our next trip to Malang.

Outstanding staff”
We were blown away by the service we received at Hotel Tugu Lombok that was why we were convinced to try out Tugu’s property in Malang when we had a brief holiday in East Java. The same level of outstanding service - from reception to restaurant staff to spa therapists - was consistently present. Staff made sure you feel valued by the hotel. Room (we got the deluxe room) was comfortable but its age was showing. The only downside was the double bed that was actually narrow. And there was no turndown service unlike in Lombok. Breakfast was superb and excellent! For breakfast alone, you totally get value for your money with their “order what you want from the menu” set-up. And they’re all tasty! Restaurant staff even prepared a sumptuous breakfast box for us for our early morning departure for Bromo. Impressive! Location-wise also strategic - it’s in a rotunda with a historic monument and close to the train station and a 10-15minute walk from the touristy Rainbow Village. Strongly recommended hotel!

On my first trip to Indonesia, I am spending the week here. Indonesian cuisine is amazing, but the first hotel was fairly ordinary. I switched to the Tugu Malang and I am blown away by the decor and the ambience that this establishment exudes! The food is exquisite, and the entire hotel is practically a museum. They have multiple rooms and restaurants to accommodate travelers from all over Asia and Europe. Such incredible ambiance! Stunning!

Special oasis in Malang”
Covid protocol’s are in place and the staff are keen on keeping everyone safe. The decor and ambiance of the hotel are magical and the service is impeccable. The cleanliness of our room and bathroom were superb and this picky American enjoyed the food selection. We have been here on several occasions and will be back. I highly recommend this exquisite hotel to all. Oh! And the WiFi was wonderful.

All the hotel staffs were superb! From security, receptionist, concierge, and restaurant were extremely nice and super helpful. When i arrived, the security helped me to park my car and the concierge man helped me to drop my luggages at the receptionist. Mr. Receptionst from Bali (i forgot to ask his name), he was so friendly, hillarious, and super helpful. Check in process was so smooth and he was intiatively brought my stuff from Gojek to my room and kept checking on me whether i already got my welcome drink or not. He was the best receptionist that i've ever met. Even, he helped me to bring my luggage when i checked out since the concierge wasn't around. The restaurant's staff are super friendly and ready to serve anytime i need.. When my spoon fell down, she initiatively brought the new one to me without i ask. Their breakfast were delicious and had many options, from continental, western, local, etc. I felt it was more like a fine dining, bcoz the plating was so beautiful. Love it! I couldn't describe how excellent their service and satisfied i was. I felt like home when i stayed there, they were welcome us with their smile and ready anytime to serve us. No doubt i'd recommended this hotel to everyone! Especially for my foreign friends who like to stay in classic style of Indonesia's house. The hotel is unique and feels like home when you walk around the hotel. It's in a best location, close to everywhere, especially if you like to hunt some good local food there.. I'd definitely stay there again and bring my friends along.

Still the best hotel in Malang”
The food was amazing! we had ala carte breakfast throughout or 4 nights stays and the menus were beyond our expectation, 5 stars is not understated. The staff from the front desk, breakfast staff, and housekeeping, all were very helpful. It's an old hotel but beautiful, furniture are classic and rustic but they keep it clean and tidy. The amenities should be the priority for improvement especially the towel, they were very old and dull. overall, we love this hotel and surely will comeback in future, hope by that time they have replaced the towel :D.
