Just stay before the flight”
We have staing there only for few hours. Our flight was at night time and we needsd some place to have a rest, take a shower, and let our baby to sleep a little bit before the flight. It was good enought for reasonable money. Because in any hotel if you are staing there after 6pm they count it as a whole day. And we were stay in Hilton before, so pay other 250$ for few hours was not reasonable. Tumonbay is old, but probably 20 years ago it was luxury place. Do not recommend you choose this hotel for long staying. 1-2 days will be ok, no more.
old hotel but great location”
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. This hotel is very old. When I was taking a shower, the fan that is located above the bathtub fall on my shoulders and I got slightly injured. The hotel needs a renovation immediately. However, the location is great; dining and shopping spots are just a few steps away. so if you are searching for a centrally located budget hotel, it is a good place to stay. However, don't expect luxury.
The hotel location is good! Very near the beach and DFS Galleria. The hotel's facilities are old but still acceptable. I like the home-y feeling. The staff are kind! I will definitely book this hotel again.
Affordable and yet less than what you pay fot”
Great location. A bit of a steep walk up though. The place is affordable, but it's worth less. Restaurant isn't functional. Pool is closed. One of two elevators are not in use. Beddings, furniture and towels show wear and tear and some holes. During a small typhoon the other elevator did not work either. I called reception at 12:01pm to request for help with our luggage as the bags are too heavy for me and my child to carry down the stairs. I was told its not their problem and theres nobody to help. And if I don't check out by 12pm, I will be charged extra. I was then put on hold for a good 10mins til I decided to walk down to seek further assistance Luckily a hotel guest by the reception offered to help. He carried the bag down the stairs as me and my daughter nearly slipped on the flooded stairs due to the water accumulation as well as the gust wind. At least they ended up not charging me for the late check out due to the delay. Its not great. Just a cheap roof over your head.
Dingy, old, in great need of renovation. Beds were as hard as planks of wood. Air in the room was dank and stale; fortunately, the balcony door opened and gave me fresh air all night. The valve that determines whether you take a shower or use the tub didn't work and was stuck on tub, making it impossible to take the desired shower in the morning.
Great view and close by to the walking stip. Not worth the money. Cold shower water only one outlet far away from bed. I wouldn't stay here again.
Customer Service Needs Tremendous Improvements ”
Person in front desk considers customers a burden and having dramas when concerns are brought up to his attention. Just one working outlet in the room. One floor lamp working to provide lighting in room. Elevator certification expired since February 2019. Microwave oven in lobby was filthy, looks like not being cleaned for ages and was cleaned when concern was brought up. Very poor lighting in garage area.
Budget affordable with a nice view and great location.
OK for over-nighter”
But still there are cleaner more updated hotels in the area which compete more effectively. Needs some work to be a contender.
big room with beautiful view of the ocean, but hotel is not well maintained. Good location.”
location very near the city cebter
Paid via agoda but never got to stay because did not have 150.00 cash for deposit.. cant even get my money back..
Value for money”
We booked the accom a month prior to the trip so the rates with the other hotels were extremely high. We got this for a third or a quarter of the rate of the other beachfront hotels and it's only a 5min walk from the beach. Although the location seems like on the top of a small hill, my friend and I didn't mind the walk. This is not ideal though for families with little kids or senior citizens. The location of the hotel is great for fit travellers who don't mind a bit of walking. Staff was awesome and room was quite large. Great value for money.
u get what u pay”
- great location, dated facilities both inside the room and in the hotel. but i wont complain and demand much provided the amount i paid for. - staff are friendly n nice - rooms a bit old n a bit creepy as it's not brightly-lited - overall i would say it's a budget ❨n theonly? ❩choice in thetumon area if u dun want to spend too much on luxu. hotel ps on first night, we heard door. knocking sound from another door in the room. we thought it d probably the japanese tourists next door, so fine and we ignored it. then on 2nd n 3rdnigjt, we heard strange "loud door banging noise" for 2 consecutive nights which freaked me out and couldnt sleep well as actally theres no wind at all we told the front desk lady and she said both rooms next to us were occupied and she came upstairs with us and tried to help by askingour neighbours not to make thatnoise. but it seemed no one was in the room. so we could do nth but went to bed again, still hearing that noise after. and on ourlast night, we still heard the door banging noise a few times. it was actlu quite loud as i used 3M earplugs when i slept but i could still hear. and until now, we still do hv a clue where and the sound was made.
Walking distance to DFS mall”
Very good staff, uphill hotel but it's still very good since you need to walk a little to reach DFS mall. quiet place. if you need something you need to go the front desk since they don't have enough staff to deliver what you ordered like water. over all good experience. i'm always staying at this hotel as i've stayed here more than 3 times.
I'm glad that it was just overnight transit.”
This is barely a 2* offering. Although cheaper than many other hotels in the same area, it is still overpriced. The owners seem to have decided not to spend any money on keeping it in good condition. The restaurant appeared to be all closed up. I was told by the taxi driver that few tourists stay there any more, and it's mostly locals. The street leading up to the hotel goes back off the main road quite a way and the access is very dark -- it would be a bit scary going out at night. Seems like this hotel might have had much better times, but now the cheap construction and second-class finish is starting to look old and worn, and not very welcoming. you could do a whole lot better than this place.
Quick Check In, Nice room amenities”
It was quick and easy to check in with my Agoda Voucher. No deposit necessary. Swimming pool was closed. No room service, and restaurant didn't open until 7:30 a.m., so had to go out and get newspaper and coffee!
Big rooms but service is not that good”
Affordable but I kind of didn't like their service. When we arrived & left no one helped us with our baggages. The restroom in the lobby was smelly also and we had to wait until 6 am to check-in (we arrived at the hotel 4:45am) even if I noted that we were requesting for an early check-in. But, rooms were clean and big - even the comfort room.
good price, location and room”
the price was very good for the location and the room that i had. a 10 mins walk from the beach, 5 mins from the main strip. it was a clean place with flat screen tv and a balcony to hang out. i highly recommend this place.
not a bad deal”
Most hotels in Tumon are a huge ripoff, so this is about a good of a deal as you can hope for. The beds are springy and old, but the room is mostly clean. Just dont go poking around in the room, otherwise you may find out that you get what you pay for. My room was quiet except an occasional mystery buzz. The pool was deserted and there was no customer service, but again you get what you pay for. You may find something cheeper, but for sure its worse. for the price, this is as good as it gets in Tumon.
nice hotel but a little old”
it has a good location, walk few meters then you are already in dfs.room is too big for me with a toilet that has poor drainage.when you go to the terrace, excellent view.staffs are pinoy and will help you how to go to the places you want.the hotel is steep so walking back to the hotel is tiring.
