A very pleasant weekend get away”

Beautiful architecture, private swimming pool and beautiful outdoor space and a complete calm and serenity. Mansour was very helpful and always available to support.
Bathrooms and kitchen were outdated and we had problem with hot water for shower upstairs. The place is 20 minutes walk (not a very pleasant walk) to the restaurants and the village. So if you don&#39;t have a car and don&#39;t speak Arabic, you are entirely on the host&#39;s mercy to get you a transport to the village and back at night.

I liked the location the architecture of the place, it is very relaxing and comfortable, a really beautiful quiet place.
What I didn&#39;t like that compared to the area of the place the place was not warm enough in the evening as for the winter... I suppose in spring, autumn and in summer it would be superb, in the winter a bit cold in the evening, there is a fireplace, you have to sit near to it to get warm, otherwise there were 2 electric heaters but not really enough for the big place. I don&#39;t want to complain about the water in the swimming pool, but it is unfortunately not getting warm in the winter though the weather was marvelous and warm. In spite of that I did swim but just because i can&#39;t resist swimming, but I was the only one daring to step in the water.

The breakfast was amazing, best Feteer ever. The private pool was the highlight of our stay, very relaxing and private. The house is spacious. Ping ping table, chess very nice entertainment

We had a great time, and I recommend this place to anyone planning a visit in Fayoum&#47;Tunis Village.”

The location was exactly as I wanted it to be--just 3 minutes by car from Tunis Village and with an excellent view of Qaron Lake from the bedroom&#47;balcony on the second floor. The host arranged for a driver to meet us the first morning we were there and take us on a great safari. We rode in a large 4WD vehicle in the desert which took us to the Wadi Rayan, Wadi Hitan, sandboarding, horseback riding, and he even showed us a part of the White Desert. The villa was very private, very clean, and even held some added bonuses for a family of 6: billiards table and table tennis tables with everything needed to play as well as quality chess and backgammon sets for us to use. We felt a little chilly and were grateful there were space heaters in every room for us to use. The bedding and towels were fresh as well.
While there were many seating options, the sofas were ok but were really not that comfortable. Also, the large beds had cotton mattresses which were more firm than we are used to, but overall they suited their purpose.

Tunis Lake View is a magic place! The house and garden are kept in perfect condition. The interior has a very exotic twist and is decorated with nice pottery from the nearby village. The private swimming pool is great. Tunis Lake View is a very good base to visit the surrounding area. The owner Mansour is a perfect host and helped with the organisation of the desert safari to Wadi Al-Hitan or local transport.
