Convenient and comfortable”
All that you need are here for a quick stay. It is conveniently located very near the Ximending night market. Staffs are really accommodating. The place is clean. Beddings are really soft and comfy to sleep on. I have booked here twice before and I have already booked again for holiday this December. Worth every penny!

My Go-To place in Taipei”
It's my 2nd stay in TW Hostel. As always, cleanliness is well maintained. Free coffee, tea, biscuits, and drinking water (hot & cold) throughout the stay. You can use their fridge, microwave oven, and other kitchen utensils. We were there for 3 nights, and we had a smooth stay. We loved it that when we request for make up of room, it looks like anew again. There was also free use of laundry room (washing machine & free detergent). Staff in reception, the pretty girl with short hair, was very accommodating. She is always smiling and is conversational in English. I just got sad that the staff who stays in the hostel for cleaning in the morning doesn't even smile back when I tried to smile at her. It also looked like she is frowning most of the time. Aside from that, everything is well.

Location is perfect being close to station, several convience sores and local attractions- my room was nice and tidy and hostel facilities worked well. My only issue is if you are a light sleeper be wary, as in my 3 week stay all other guests were noisey still past midnight, perhaps a notice could be posted to be quiet past a certain time, the maid is also quite noisy early in the morning. Otherwise a good hostel to stay in!!

Budget, superb location, super friendly staffs”
Located very near to Yong He soy milk and few minutes walk to Ximending Walker & MRT. The owner was really friendly to provide us some traveling guides/tips and drinks when we arrive. Just a little weird that the reception area is a different location than the hostel room, which is few blocks away but not too far. On the day we are leaving, there's no need to go back to reception to checkout or anything, can just take our luggage and go. Our room located on second floor and the doors are password locked which is really convenient and easy. Outside of our room will be the busy XMD area, which can be a little noisy. The only issue we had in the room was few small cockroaches spotted crawling around. The hotel atmosphere and decoration is quite fancy compare to other hostel I stayed in XMD. The room capacity is good for 2 person. TV has plenty of channels so we won't get bored at night. There are shared fridge, water dispenser outside of the room.

I was the only guest in the main building. I've been assited very well by the hotel staffs with my urgent requests and queries. Near a breakfast spot, massage parlor and convenice stores. Easy access to the MRT and Ximen Main Area. I will definetely stay here again when I come back to Taipei.

No recommendation- noisy and not too clean”
Well, very very basic room. Windows are there, but they do not isolate any noise from outside. You hear everything from everywhere. The sockets are working partially. In the bathroom area there were a lot of hairs allover.

stayed in this hostel for 4 days and it is more than I expected. the entrance is very cute and inviting, its near ximending night market for the shoppers and its near mrt ximen station which is good because most of the tourist destinations can be reached thru mrt. I would love to comeback and stay here again, Good job TW-taipei hostel.

Great location, pretty interior decorations”
I walked a fair bit from Taipei main station but the hostel is actually nearer to Ximending station. The girl at the desk was very friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable in this hostel because of the pretty interior decorations and modern facilities and the upper bunk of the bed was also very comfortable. The shared toilet is a tad small but very clean. I felt that security in this hostel was also rather good and I appreciated the free lockers provided.

Worthwhile bargain but very small rooms”
It was a pleasant no-frills stay. The room seemed way too small at first, but we soon got used to it, as it was comfortable. There was a small toilet in our room with a hot shower. We had a queen-sized bed which was raised up. Below the bed, there was a couch area with a mini TV. There was also a fridge and hair dryer. The Internet station outside our room allowed me to finish up some last-minute work at night. The hotel was also quaintly decorated with stickers of the Effiel Tower and other pretty pictures on the wall. I appreciate that the owners put in effort to make their guests comfortable and they were able to pack all the essentials that you would find in a hotel room in such a small space. Safety-wise, the rooms were secured by a number lock. The hostel entrance was also secured. We were given a code which would allow us to enter, so there was no curfew and no need for us to stand outside waiting for someone to open the main door (as my wife had to do at hostels in other parts of the world). Overall, we found our stay at the Taipei City Hostel a worthwhile experience as whatever we needed was provided for. It was good, no-frills accommodation for our two-day stay in Taipei before we went to another part of Taiwan. However, travellers who are claustrophobic may wish to consider other options. It is also not ideal accommodation if you're on a honeymoon or if you intend to spend a lot of time in the room.

found this great hostel in agoda deal. very worth to stay. clean and calm environment, friendly staffs, unique decoration and most of all, there are full facilities you can find in this hostel, internet access not only wifi, they also provide printer and pc. kitchen with microwave, stove, refridgerator, pots, dishes and cutlery. if you forgot about your shower essentials, no worries, they will provide too. very convenient to 7-eleven, bank, post-office, night market, food stalls and of course to the train or mrt station. if i am coming back to visit again, taipei city hostel is definitely my first choice to stay in.

More than what I’ve expected”
Staff was friendly and fluent in english. The actual building is different from where the check in is. The design of the hostel is very cute. Clean hostel.. only downside are the other guests that were chatting outside our room and also left the toilet dirty but that is not the hostel’s fault so it won’t affect my review

The hostel is very responsive. I had a lot of inquiries and they provided timely response. I had a very good time during my stay. The facilities are clean and there are no unnecessary smell. They have friendly staff too. Most of all, the location is just a few steps to Ximending night market.

Great Location, Neat and Clean”
the location is good. it only takes 5 mins walk from taipei ximending metro station and a lot of food and retail stores are nearby. there is a helpdesk on the g/f and staff there are nice and helpful. i stayed in a single room on the 1/f near the stairway. the room, bathroom and washroom were tidy and clean but small. if you are rather tall and big in stature, you may have to consider this. as space is limited, rooms are close to each other, guests who can't fall asleep easily may expect to hear some noise from other guests going up and down the stairway, chatting, door opening and closing. overall i was satified with the stay and would be pleased to stay at here again.

Good stay for Backpackers”
Pleasant stay for back-packers and if do not mind sharing common area. Was back in the room at night to rest and sleep and most of the time was out exploring Taipei. If you are solo traveler looking for room to rest after a day out and do not wish to stay in any typical hotel, Taipei City Hostel is recommended.

hostel near MRT Ximen station, very accessible ”
It was pleasant, I just notice that they turning off the wifi when it seems no people and turning it again when a guest arrived. The same with the heater in the restroom, I take a bath early morning and there's no hot water and if they notice (I think thru CCTV) that there's a guest, they turning it again. As whole my stay at the hostel was good and the staff is accomodating. The hostel provide toothpaste, shampoo and shower gel, towels and there's water dispenser in kitchen. Also, washing machine but I dont wash clothes when travelling since I have enough clean clothes for my 5 nights stay.
