Un-assuming Hotel that is worth the money in Causeway Bay”
We liked our stay in Twenty One Whitfield. We advised them that we would check-in late at the hotel and once we arrived nearly close to midnight the good news was we were upgraded with the Harbour View. The staff were all helpful. The unit was also spacious as compared to the other hotels we used to stay in Hong Kong. It's a good hotel and in the price that we were willing to pay plus it's already around Causeway Bay and other Central spots that we wanted to go to. Only downside was the location. Nearly 8 mins walk to the nearest Tin Hau MTR station which is normal in HK and cabs don't usually pass by that often. Bus 5X stops right in front of the hotel so it's convenient when it passes to the places you want to go to. I would definitely come back here and recommend Twenty One Whitfield to my friends.
Wonderful and affordable stay”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Twenty One Whitfield. Out of all the hotels we've been to in Hong Kong, this was not only the largest room, but also the cleanest and most modern/new. It has a nice simple kitchen and the view is superb – the bed is surrounded by a 180 degrees view of the city/bay. The lobby is simple and roof offers a great view as well. We were particularly impressed with the Internet, averaging 20mbps, which is 10 times the speed of most hotels and at no extra cost.
My First choice accommodation for Hong Kong ”
It's my 3rd time staying here and 2nd time being upgraded to a higher level Harbour view floor. Thank you Twenty one Whitfield for the beautiful view! The room has everything one needs in a serviced apartment; all packed and compacted thoughtfully and neatly into a 30ish sqm space; much larger than most typical hotel rooms of a similar room rate. The hotel reception staff are a great team: prompt; helpful and intuitive. Definitely still coming back if I am back in Hong Kong again.
Perfect choice worth the money”
Every time I'm in HK I used to stay at Causeway Bay and Twenty One Whitfield is my favourite place : ideal location, close to Victoria Park and great shopping places; amazing view to Victoria Harbour; perfect room layout with all necessary facilities; privacy. Just only one minus thing I want to point out -- some room equipment needs to be renovated.
21 Whitfield is a service apartment. It feels like an apartment, though a rather small one. It's fine for a hotel room though. It has a well stocked kitchenette, which if you want to save money on food, it's of great use. I wish they had electric tea kettles or a coffee maker though. I hate heating my water in a microwave. The bed is very comfortable, and positioned so you can see 180 view of Hong Kong. My only complaint about the bed was that it was on wheels and would roll away when you climbed into it. Take off the darn wheels! The internet works well, and the bathroom is large. They have great bath towels! The location isn't bed. It's about a five minute walk from the MTR station. There isn't much around the hotel, but Starbucks is nearby as well as some bakeries and local eateries. The view from the upper floors is quite nice and the rooftop is even more spectacular. I would recommend this place, especially if you're staying for a week or more.
Lovely design.. upkeep could be better.”
I had a pleasant stay at Twenty one Whitfield. I knew there were no amenities when I booked it, but after staying at the apartment-like hotel I realize that I enjoy the hustle of a regular hotel for short stays (but a Twenty One Whitfield for longer stays). This is purely a personal preference. The lone staff at the security desk was pleasant and low-key. I appreciated the quietness of my room and the layout. The blackout curtains provided the necessary privacy during rest time. The bathroom is huge and I liked having my own iron/ironing board in the room. Temperature control for February was perfect. Room maintenance could have been better as some of the ceiling lights were burned out and the walls obviously repainted resulting in unsightly patches. Overall, it was a good experience. I enjoyed my daily walk along Electric Road to/from the Tin Hau A2 subway exit.
Every little space in the room is sleek in design.”
One word to describe, "Fantastic" staycation with Twenty One Whitfield. Totally so in love with the kitchen in the SOHO, we were able to whip up some meals after long walks in the city area. Love the city landscape view from the room. The MTR is within walking distance from Tin Hau or Fortress Hill. Housekeeping services are neat, great and clean. Staffs are friendly. They do have a good Safe too as we had some bad experience with Safes in hotels. It will definitely be a place to go back to for our staycation!
good location, great apartment”
Nicely designed apartment a short walk to Causeway Bay shops and restaurants - just take a 10 minute walk through Victoria Park. The apartments are also very close to Tin Hau MTR station so you have quick access to the rest of Hong kong. Check-in is friendly and efficient. The apartment is a decent size, very clean and with nice contemporary decor. The apartment is well equipped - ipod dock, flatscreen TV, desk, feee wifi, safe, aircon, ironing board, cooking equipment, utensils, cutlery, crockery, kettle, tea and coffee and cooking is possible using the portable electric single hob and the built-in microwave. Bathroom is spacious with large walk in shower and L'Occitane toiletries are provided. Bed is big, clean and comfortable placed in an area of the apartment with large floor to ceiling windows on three sides (we had good views looking towards Causeway Bay and Central), blinds and curtains are provided of course. This establishment is just an apartment building - there is no restaurant/breakfast but there is a rooftop terrace that can be rented for barbecues. Overall a very pleasant and value for money stay in a convenient location in Hong Kong.
Enjoyed my stay here”
A nice clean hotel, friendly service, big room in comparison to others in Hong Kong with a fantastic view of the harbour. Good value for money. Location is nearer to Fortress Hill MTR, about 5-8mins walk away, even with 2 big luggage, it was an easy walk to the station. To go Causeway Bay area, just have to cut through Victoria Park, which is just around the corner of hotel, again 5-8mins pleasant walk. Would highly recommend this hotel to my friends.
thank you for your feedback, looking forward to see you again !
Pretty Cool Suite”
I love the room! I seriously like how the room is laid out and the big glass window "right-in front-of-your-bed-that-can-see-almost-anywhere" feel. Although with that being said, there are still a few buildings taller than Whitfield in front so you don't wanna do funny things at the full view of the window. The location was sensible, a 5-10 mins walk to the metro station but would have been more impressed if its more central.. Staff were ever present and helpful. :) In summary, if you're not in a rush and don't mind taking your time to travel around hong kong and would like to have a really cool and quiet place to rest this is probably one of the best out there.. Cheers
Good value and location”
This hotel is located just on the edge of Victoria Park only 5 mins to Tin Hau MTR and a 15 min walk to Causeway Bay. The room was very comfortable with a comfortable bed, lovely down pillows, big shower and a small kitchenette. We asked for a high floor and were placed on 25F which is the beginning of the "high floor" category, but ideally you would want to be on at least 27F to get the uninterrupted view of Causeway Bay. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are literally hundreds of restaurants within 5 mins walk. We prepared a simple breakfast each morning in the kitchenette. We would definitely stay here again, but would ask for 27th floor and above.
Hidden Gem in Tin Hau”
It's a small boutique hotel hidden in the back neighborhood of Tin Hau, only two units on each floor. Reception area is very tiny and no bathroom available for guests on ground floor. Staff was very nice and friendly. Elevator runs fast never had to wait long. Advantage is we never had to share an elevator with anyone during the whole time. It's quite far away from Tin Hau MTR Station, five blocks and two long blocks to King's Road. Although there's 5X bus terminal right in front of hotel, every 20 minutes takes you to Central and Kennedy Town, we never took it. There are plenty of restaurants on Electric Road which is two long blocks away. Room was very clean and well kept. We especially liked the seating area. It's rare in HK hotel standards. We could see the Causeway Bay storm shelter and partial harbor view from our 11th floor room. Overall, my wife and I liked this new hotel very much, clean and spacious, no complaints except for the location. On arrival, taxi driver couldn't find this hotel and had to drop us off two blocks away. We managed to ask neighbors to locate the hotel (even neighbors not familiar with this Whitfield Road hotel!). Considering lots of pros and little cons, I definitely would select this hotel again and recommend to friends.
Beautiful Causeway Bay View!”
Discovered this little gem at Agoda. The Causeway bay room view as seen on the pictures was as expected and it is awesome! Pros: Great view! Price is not too expensive but can't say it's cheap either. It has the basic hotel amenities. You can walk towards the Tin Hau MTR within 10-15 minutes and it connects to the rest of MTR like Central. There is a bus stop in front and taxis pass by the Whitfield road. There is also a great restaurant right beside it called Le Viola that serves gourmet food from 12pm to night (I got a special treat here on my birthday and was given a very very delicious complimentary dessert- Thank you Alona!). Cons: The hotel has 2 elevators but they are quite slow-moving. I think they do not serve breakfast, but there is a simple chinese restaurant just a few steps away with English-speaking staff. TIP: Download the "MTR mobile" app to easily figure out how to travel by train.
Value for money”
It was pleasant stay at Twenty One Whitfield. Great value for money! Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean room and nice view. Unfortunately the access is not easy and quite far to walk to Causeway bay. I would recommend.
Great hotel with a view of the city”
We really enjoyed our stay at Twenty One Whitefield. The room was lovely with a small kitchenette, sitting area and a bed that overlooked the city and modern bathroom. It is about a 5-8 minute walk from the metro train station and their is also a bus that stops right out front and a tram not far away to get you into central Hong Kong. There are some really great restaurants nearby as well. My only comment would be that the staff could be a bit friendlier/more helpful. I would stay again.
great room, great view, location not so much”
21 Whitfield is a serviced apartment, not a hotel. We stayed on the 20th floor. There are only 2 rooms per floor which is great. The room wasn't that spacious but it was enough for 2 people. The view though is great. The room was well designed, very modern and clean. My only problem with the place is the location. Most hotels in Hong Kong have an airport express bus stop, but since it wasn't a hotel, the only way to reach the place is via the metro, taxi or uber.
thank you for your feedback, looking forward to see you again !
It is the best place that I have stayed in Hong Kong. A rare find in a crowded city like HK. I will be back to stay at Twenty One Whitfield.
The room is bigger than most in Hong Kong. The location is great, only a stop away from Causeway bay! Def will stay again even though some of the staff had a sour attitude!
Thanks for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback!
Neat studio in HKG with a nice view”
We are lucky to be upgraded to higher floor at Twenty One Whitfield. One thing I love about this studio is it's spacious compared to other hotels out there in hong kong island side and the bed is comfortable. Circle K is just across the street but it closes before midnight. It was a very comfortable 3 night stay, However, MTR station is quite far but walkable and TV channels are very very limited ( no cable TV). Nevertheless, I will definitely come back again in the future
Amazing stay in Hong Kong”
We arrived late at night and we were warmly greeted by Rocky the night guy. He quickly checked us in and showed us or room and the lovely roof terrace you could use. The room was amazing with fantastic views over Hong Kong harbour. It was like sleeping in a glass bubble. We had a room on the 30th floor 30B but I think that 30A had even better views. It was very well equipped and very clean. It is very close to the MTR to travel to Kowloon. Rocky was great and gave us a map and told us when best to do things like the Peak Tram. Wonderful three night stay and would highly recommend this apartment/hotel.
