    Just heaven”

The pool is soooo relaxing - could spend all day there. The Catch Club is a great place to go at night for cocktails at happyhour

We have just returned from 10 days at the Twinpalms. It was my boyfriend's first trip to Thailand snd my second and the Twinpalms didn't disapoint. Probabaly the best thing about this property is that it's small and therefore very quite and relaxing. Most of the hotels in Phuket are large and therefore busy. My boyfriend would say the Catch CLub was the highlight. A nice place to wind down and enjoy a cocktail and some music. Some constructive feedback would be that the menu at the Catch Club is a bit limited for my liking - surprising that there are not alot of Thai dishes on offer. We had first class service the whole time, previous reviews have commented on some staff at the Catch Club being rude etc. We didn't experience this at all. The staff at this property are very professional and and they spoke excellent english. We couldn't talk highly enough of the staff. We had a room on the second floor which was lovely and private. Prevous comments have stated that the rooms that open onto the lagoon are exposed and not private - I would have to agree with this. Although, I would have loved to have a room that opened up onto the pool...... If you are going to Thailand to relax and wind down then this is the property for you. You won't be dissapointed.

    Lovely resort!”

We spent 2 visits at this resort. 4 days and then another 1 day...a few days later. This property is very beautiful. On arrival we were offered a welcome drink and a cool cloth. We then had a choice of 3 different diffuser scents that we picked from to be put in our room along with fresh flowers, It is not located on the beach, but has a large pool that is centred between the rooms. Not all rooms face the pool. The bed was very hard the first night and we asked to have it softened and they added a topping and it was perfect. When we arrived the second time, they already had put the topper on. The rooms are spacious and modern. We had a balcony, which looked over the pool. The gym is small, but has everything one would need. Ben in concierge was fabulous!! Very helpful, as was all staff. Breakfast had a good selection and every day from 3-4 fruit was offered in the room near reception. A really nice touch. Chocolates were put on the bed in the evening. They offered shuttles to 2 beaches and there was a beach, a 10 minute walk from the property. HQ beach offered a free drink from 6-7 and the food there was good. Beautiful spot to catch the sunsets. I would definitely recommend the Twinpalms Phuket Hotel

This hotel fits all our needs”

Not too big Luxurious Great pool Nice beachclub/beachchairs Good service
a bit far from the 'action'

During our second holiday in Thailand, we started in this hotel. Because we kept comparing every hotel we stayed in after that, with Twinpalms, we decided to end our holiday here. We made a great deal with the hotel and got an upgrade for our first night. Normally we choose for the beach over the pool, but here the choice was not so easy. We loved the pool as well. The beachclub was also great and the complimentary beachchairs were ideal. The beach was 3-4 min walk. we did not mind at all. We recommend the beach barbecue. It is very luxurious: fresh oysters, lobster, crab, lamb right of the grill. It was all delicious... The spa is quite expensive, but i liked the treatment and manicure and pedicure. The rooms are spacious. We stayed in a deluxe palm lagune room and the grand deluxe palm room. We loved the lagune room, but the grand deluxe room was more spacious. If i would go again, i would choose the grand deluxe lagune room, best of both :) Breakfast was delicious. Especially the smoked salmon and the fresh fruit juices were quite good. We ate in the restaurant and at the beach. Both were fine, but the prices are a bit high. The quality of the food and the service was good. We also had dinner at the Manathai restaurant next door, which was also very good, but the same prices. The only con i can think of is that in the area there is nothing much to do. If that is what you are looking for, it's great. But if you like a little bit more action, you have to take a 30 min. drive to Patong or Phuket town for 500 THB (one way). The hotel does offer a shuttle bus in the weekends, but you have to be with a minimum of 3 persons. Also the limousine drive to and from the airport is rather expensive (1500 THB one way). Just outside the taxidrivers offer the same ride for 700 THB.

    Modern, luxurious and cozy hotel”

Kind staff, modern interior, nice pool and beach club

We stayed at Penthouse and cannot point out any complaint about staying at twinpalms hotel. Room, staff, pool, spa, nightlife, everything was perfect. Surin beach, in which the hotel locates, is a bit far from Patong, Karon and Kata beach, but it would not make any problem for the travellers planning to spend most days of vacation at hotel. Our Room manager, Kuun maam, whose title I do not remember the exact name of the title though, was really kind and always had an initiative to care our stay, which made us love this hotel. We are definitely returning to twinpalms in near future.

    Gorgeous hotel in fantastic location!”

Location - quiet and away from busy Patong but only a short tuk tuk ride away, beautiful beach with fantastic selection of restaurants, polite and helpful staff, delicious buffet breakfast, beautiful rooms - spacious and immaculately clean!

my partner and i loved our stay at twinpalms! after going into patong for a shopping afternoon, whilst fun, we were glad to return to twinpalms at surin beach! the staff were polite and helpful, the rooms and facilities were luxurious and the location was fantastic! just a short stroll to surin beach with a great selection of restaurants and the gorgeous beachclub. a great hotel to relax without the hustle and bustle of crowded markets, pollution and litter, noisy kids, or partying teenagers!

    Wonderful experience in Phuket”

Beautiful garden and swimming pool. Toiletries are excellent... they are from the Lemongrass House. Had chocolates on the bed every night after we got back to the room. Nice touch. Service is awesome... we left some fruit in the ice bucket the night before and when we came back the following night, the ice bucket was full of ice again, with our fruit inside... Chilled mangoes! Yummy.
Although we didn't watch TV, the Deluxe Lagoon room we stayed in came with a big box 24" TV. It's 2009 guys! A 24" LCD flatscreen costs less than $400 USD these days! Surin beach is about a 5 minute walk away from the front steps of Twinpalms. The path to the beach is not highlighted and it is a dirt path.

I have been to Phuket before and was considering the Chedi as the resort is very quiet and private. Since I've been there before, and didn't want to do the same thing twice, I asked my girlfriend (first time there) to choose another hotel nearby. I'm from Canada and lived in Asia for 6 years now so am quite picky when it comes to the quality of hotels (overall hotel quality vs price in Asia is better than America/Canada) We stayed 3 nights at the Twinpalms. We both felt we needed a few extra days there. It is a beautiful small resort. We loved the fact that it was really quiet and very spacious. We arrived around midnight and was given a nice flower bracelet and a cold towel. It's not a big deal, but we didn't get any complementary drink that night. We did however get upgraded from the Palm room to the Lagoon room. The per night price during the low season on Agoda after tax was $100usd a night. Great value for this place. We loved the toiletries so much that we went to the Lemongrass House to make a litre of each one so we could "take Twinpalms home with us". They smell awesome! :-)

    Swimming pool

Just to say The Twinpalms Phuket was the most beautiful place among the 5 hotels that we stayed during our holiday in Thailand. Beautiful place, beautiful pool, excellent professional and very friendly staff. You can even spend time only at the pool without going to the beach. The room is amazing and the service is excellent with those little things like: small pieces of chocolate everyday, fresh fruit.... We are very happy! We will come back next time if we go to Phuket again!

The best resort I've been to”

Friendly staff, Lovely surroundings, ideal honeymoon hotel

Twinpalms was the perfect resort to start off our honeymoon. Compared to our subsequent hotels (which were still very good) Twinpalms tops the list in terms of staff service & comfort. Having been upgraded to a pool access room aside, everyone was just so naturally friendly & welcoming. Food at the hotel was great as well & it's affiliated beach Catch club is one of the best on Surin. They set the bar in terms of resorts in Thailand.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE Twin Palms!”

Small Leading Hotel of the World, wonderful rooms, attention to EVERY detail
    NONE

Everything about the Twinpalms is to die for. As a SLH, it definitely deserves its reputation. Upon arrival, we were greeted with welcome drinks and given a prompt tour of the hotel and then taken to our room. We took all of our meals at the beach--where the food was EXQUISITE--and had massages for cheap on the side. Every last detail is cared for at the Twinpalms. From the jasmine leis to the welcome chocolates, the amazing breakfast spreads to the pool, service, staff, etc. We fell in love with the Twinpalms and only wished we stayed longer. A few weeks after our stay we were sent a gift in the mail from the hotel, a music compilation CD from the hotel's resident DJ (think Hotel Costes). We'll definitely be going back.

Nice hotel but had some problems”

    location, comforatable bed, and pool

Let me first state that Twinpalms is a very nice hotel, great location a very short walk from Surin beach. They are partnered with some of the beach restaurants and bars which make it very nice. Staff was very attentive but not always understanding the problem. Some times to attentive. The breakfast was very good and wide range of selection. Sparklingly wine to be included in a free breakfast is always nice! Now for the bad. #1 After checking in and leaving the room for the first time I went to use the room safe. When I put in a code it gave me an error and tried a few times. Being a frequent business traveler I know that this was not your typical user error and called the front desk. After three phone calls from the desk (four including the one I made) they send someone to the room. 15 minutes of the person trying to reset it I gave up and left dropping my items at my friends room. Upon returning the safe was replaced. I noticed it was not bolted down and it was very easy to remove and carry for long distances. Three more phone calls someone came to the room and bolted it in. The hotel did bring a bottle of sparklingly wine to my room for the inconvenience. #2. Right before checking out I was packing and I always remove the bed cover to ensure that I didn't leave anything behind in the bed. I noticed there was an old blood stain the size of a coaster on the edge of the fitted sheet. I showed this to the hotel when checking out and they asked me to email the picture. What bothered me is the first reaction was not to apologize but questioned how this occurred as house cleaning changes the sheets daily. Even when speaking to the supervisor her reaction was the same. Before leaving they did apologize. Overall nice hotel but felt that it was not meant to be an over the top experience for me. I would only recommend Twin Palms if you are wanting to stay at Surin Beach. I would not recommend it if you are open to other beaches in Phuket.

A beautiful small hotel with great beach”

Best beachclub on Surin, tasty food and great pool.

When we arrived in Twinpalms the room they assigned us wasn't ready, but we immediatelly got another one, so our check-in didn't take long. Territory is rather small, pool area is very beautiful and arranged in a way you can escape the heat under palm trees. Tables in the pool bar and sunbeds are usually occupied, however there are few people in the pool and the place remains quiet and relaxing. Our room had pool acces which is great but sometimes means that you have to keep you curtains closed to have some privacy. The road to the beach is a minor drowback, ones you get there you forget about everithing else. Catch beach club is really nice - wide beach, very comfortable sunbeds, lounge music and delicious cocktails. Food in the restaurants is great but rather expensive, however there's a plenty of restaurants along the beach. There is everything you might want for breakfast, but the selection never changes, so it can be boring if you stay long. Twinpalms hotel turned out to be more than we expected, we were very happy with our choise.

Nice hotel, good facilities but not on the beach”

    Good service and facilities

I heard a lot of good comments about the Twinpalms and I was not disappointed when I arrived. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel facilities were very good. The room was comfortable enough. Food was also great. Too bad it is not located on the beach but you can still walk there. The only problem you might have is that the hotel is quite far and you need to rent a car to drive around. Taxi in Phuket is incredibly expensive. No public transportation either. But if you prefer to just spend time in the hotel, this place is perfect for you.

Checked in was a unique experience where staff handle process while cocktails were served. Really enjoyed that. Pool as great, relaxing and a few steps away from porch. Room was clean, quite, spacious and with unique layout. However, hotel was a bit of a walk to get to beach, however, the beach catch club was really nice. Although, the drinks were quite expensive so walked 100 ft to neighboring section to get drinks at 1/2 the costs. Overall the hotel was 5 star quality and i cannot wait til our next Phuket trip to Twinpalms.

we were upgraded to palm suite which is huge (one child in single bed and a porta cot in a separate living area with dividing wall, but no door. massive balcony facing part of the pool. the hotel is probably 200m from the beach, with a walk across a grassy playing field (called an old royal golf course!). the hotel has low key but massive bar / restaurant area (call the catch) next to surin beach under the pine trees. all along surin beach there is a cobbled access lane/road with different open air and closed air thai restaurants, which then have their area of sun beds for rent. the ones for hotel and day paying catch guests ( thb/person) are more spread out. you are provided towels etc. food and drink is cheaper in the places next door - we used both, as appreciated the catch facilities and space. the catch also attracts a range of people for lunches and also dinner and bar (nightlife)!. have seen the sea crystal clear in feb and no waves, small waves in march but 2 yr old and 5 yr old handled and a roaring sea (aug/sept rainy season and surfers) that only strong adult swimmer would swim in. lot's of beach massage places and also on the road that hotel is on back from beach. there are also a reasonable range of restaurants from pub/sport bar, wood fired pizza to thai. there appear to be a few resident expats also living in the area. hotel is 30 mins from airport. taxi without booking about thb from airport (camry or similar). hotel charges thb! from surin beach to airport thb for car, thb for toyota forunner. hotel was good also at catering for allergies. eg checking which bread had no eggs and nuts would definitly go back.

Twinpalms Phuket, Would Like to Visit Again”

    1. Very pleasant and efficient staff 2. Lovely, spacious room 3. Good food, fast room service 4. Great service at the spa
    1. Catch beach club opens at 9am but only starts serving food at 11am 2. before my visit, I had written an email to Twinpalms asking for options on how to get to the hotel from the airport. I received an email giving only one option: Hotel limo costing 1,500 baht. They didn't mention airport taxi which I discovered myself, only cosot 450 baht. 3. Tiny TV in the room.

I stayed at Twinpalms Phuket for two night and three days. The staff was very pleasant and efficient. The room was very spacious -- huge bed, huge bathroom. Right outside my room was the beautiful swimming pool. Great for relaxing and destressing. I enjoyed the 15-minute complementary jetlag massage. Room service was very fast and very good. I enjoyed my stay so much that while I was there I was already planning my next visit.

We wanted a property well and truly out of the hussle and bustle of the centre of Phuket and this is what TwinPalms Resort offered. We stayed 9 nights and could have stayed longer.. The spa resort was fantastic, the beachclub great, we had a room on the 2nd floor, however next visit we would stay in swim-up pool room. For pure indulge we went out on the resorts TwinPalms Boat..a real treat!!

First class hotel at a great value ”

The pool, exercise room, restaurant, Catch Beach Club, and Surin beach were all outstanding

My girlfriend and I stayed here in September, 2012. I booked the hotel because of the location and the pool. Both are wonderful. The hotel's Catch Beach Club and Surin beach are standout places in Phuket. We rented a car during our stay and parked in the secure hotel garage. Driving to other beaches and Phuket Town is straight-forward. The hotel library is a great area to access the complementary computers, movies, books, and travel info. The breakfast is the best that I have experienced in a hotel in Thailand. Twin Palms is truly a first class hotel at an exceptional value.

Everything you could possibly ask for...and more”

Size, staff, quietness, pool and pool area, gym (smaill but one of the best I have seen in Asia)

This is my second time at Twinpalms. I travel the globe for my business and consider myself a world traveller with very discerning tastes. The most beautiful part of Twinpalms aside from the luxury and the service is the peace and solitude that you will experience during your stay. If this is what your looking for and in fact treasure look no further. If you are looking for a water park and 500 people in the pool to play volleyball you will be sadly disappointed. Twinpalms is the ideal setting for getting away to chill out whether it be to read a book, listen to some music, get some sun, relax with your partner, work out, go to the beach club, they pretty well have all the bases covered. Rest assured you will come away from your weekend or whatever length of stay feeling refreshed and recharged. Can't wait to get back.
