The best experience ever”

Sightseeing, sports, great food

I have to say that I have never been into a rain forest (*jungle) before, so the first 1-2 nights were terrifying. Except that we can highly recommend this Villas as Number one value for money. The facilities are outstanding and the staff is super polite, helpful, nice and calm. We spend our first week in Dedari Villas and 2nd week in Seyriu Villas next to the beach. I must say that both me and my wife loved Dedari Villas. They are not boutique villas, but their pricing, comfort, food, location, room service, staff politeness and others were outstanding. We simply cannot say enough good things about the Staff and their Manager Mr Poernomo (I do not remember the exact spelling). He was super friendly and satisfied every request or whim of ours. The culture and religious sights were breath taking and memorable. Ubud area shows the real spirit of Hinduism and culture and I have to say, I am very very impressed. The area is super safe and people are carrying and helpful. People seemed generally happy and unburdened from their obvious poverty and standards of living. They are extremely religious in Ubud, but not to the extent that they impose their views and beliefs on others, which is amazing. I would say that if you want to visit Bali - UBUD is a must and Dedari Villas is the place to sleep and eat. Make sure you ask the staff about pricing in the market, things in UBUD can cost from 1 euro to 50 euro for the same item. Everything on the markets is negotiable. If a trader tells you 100,000 Rupiahs it most probably costs less than 10,000. Sometimes 500,000 Rupiahs items can be 20,000 in real value. There are no set pricing or customer protection at all. Make sure you ask the management of the Villas to pick you up from the Airport and look for the sign with your name otherwise you will end up paying like 50 euro for taxi to Dedari Villas, when it actually costs a lot less.

Exotic Island Getaway”

Location, Friendly Staff, Affordability

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Ubud Dedari Villas. It truly was an amazing experience. From the sights and sounds of the rainforest, to the friendly staff, everything about Ubud was exactly what we were looking for. When we arrived, it looked like they had recently completed some renovation projects, which was a pleasant surprise! Our room was clean and cozy, and the feeling of seclusion was amazing... the perfect island getaway for adventurous couples. If you want to see a different side of Bali, something more scenic and serene than the crazy and crowded beaches of Kuta, then head north to the Ubud Dedari Villas. You won't be disappointed. The location was fantastic, the price was affordable, and the people were amazing. The value is undeniable, and we will definitely be returning to the Ubud Dedari Villas in the future!

Experience the real Bali”

Attentive customer service; relaxing location

As a retired executive, I've stay at all of the larger 5 Star hotel chains. If you are looking for the mega-chain hotel experience, don't choose Dedari. But, if you are looking for "the perfect" Bali experience, Dedari Villas is a wonderful choice. The manager and staff speak English quite well and are extremely attentive. They will pick you up at the airport; drive you back and forth to Ubud; and organize side trips. Ubud has very good shopping (local artists) and restaurants. Dedari rooms are clean with a marvelous view of the jungle. Breakfast is served on your private patio overlooking the pool. Two temples are within a short walk. People in the neighborhood surrounding the hotel are friendly. You can walk to the Elephant Cave. I found Ubud to be a better choice than Usa Dua or Kuda (unless you are on holiday for a rowdy party). I cannot say enough food things about Dedari.

Fantastic Hotel with Great Views ”

Great Service, Quiet, Relaxing Getaway

We loved our time at Ubud Dedari Villas. It is away from the hustle and bustle of busy Ubud but close enough to be in the centre in 10 minutes. Of the small amount of Villas we were the only people there most of the time and was great to have our own space. The outside bathrooms are fantastic and the rooms are always clean and well serviced. The service was outstanding leaving you to just relax and enjoy Ubud. For those wanting to see the 'real Bali' I would recommend Ubud Dedari Villas as you get to see kids playing and people going about their business only a short walk from the hotel. Overall will definately stay here again and would recommend to anyone visiting Ubud.

Amazing place, beautiful hospitality”

We stayed in Dedari villas for one week in June. It was absolutely an amazing experience, by far the best "hidden gem" in Ubud. Friendliness of staff was outstanding from the first moment we arrived, they are very "hands on" and helped us with with all our enquiries. Special thank you to Poernomo and Gustu, who made us feel excellent throughout our stay. Villas are well decorated, clean and spacious, overlooking the infinity pool and forest. This place is located in a local residential village, which is away from the heavy traffic noise. Breakfast is served on your own balcony and your own preferred time, this is absolutely a bonus and perfect start for the day. Free shuttle few times a day is excellent way of getting in and out of Ubud, we used it quite frequently. Room service menu has plenty of options for dinner so there's no need to always go to Ubud for dinner. Our stay was much better than expected and it was great to see and experience good old fashioned hospitality (can't find it many places these days). We will definitely return one day and will recommend this place to all my friends and family. Thank you Dedari Villas!

Hotel raised with sincerity”

Best service experience I ever encountered.

we didn't really have a chance to stay in dedari villa. initially we was booked 4 villas but due to some internal miscommunication, instead of 4 rooms detari villa had just reserved a villa for us. by the time they inform me, it was less than a week time before our flight to bali. i was panic and felt a bit frustrating. however, immediately they help me to book another villa with the similar standard and they settle the additional cost with the other villa directly without additional cost to us. they arrange everything, included offering us a dinner without any limit in the villa they booked for us! what surprise us is actually by the dinner time, dedari villa owner and manager visited us and apologizes to us personally; pass us the souvenirs they brought over. by that, i can guarantee this is the best service i experienced before so far. i'm not able to comment a lot on the dedari villa itself because i am not really staying there but if 10 is the perfect score for the service, i would rate it 11.

Great villas, adorable staff and good service”

Villas, bedding, cleanliness, staff, manager, swimming pool, proximity with temple

We were looking for a carefree stay in Ubud and Dedari villas really fulfilled our expectations. The Manager Poerdomo picked us up at the airport and drove us to the villa (1h drive). The facilities are good and well taken care of. The staff was really friendly and made everything possible to make our stay relaxing. The visit of the temple (15 min walk through the jungle) is worth it. The staff arranged the excursions, transportation and even ensured our booking was confirmed at the hotel we were going next (In Lembongan, the hotel was having his phone line cut so Dedari's manager had to call 3 to 4 agencies to check how to contact them before finally getting hold of someone). We would definitely recommend this place for couples who want to relax and enjoy some privacy as well as discovering the nice area of Ubud. Minus points: not too much choice for food and alcoholic drinks (only beer) at the hotel. The villas are a bit isolated from Ubud (10 min by car). Besides that nothing :)

Beautiful setting,wonderful villas,superb service!”

Fantastic view of the jungle, great staff

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Ubud Dedari Villas. We booked for two nights, but ended up staying for four (and even then we didn't want to leave). The service was impeccable - from the airport pickup (with cold towers and bottled water, and smiling manager), to the breakfast service every day, with a huge smile. We immediately felt at home at this guesthouse. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and recommend it to anyone. Only issues I would say, are minor. It IS out of Ubud, but that has it's pros and cons (we rented a motorcycle which was a fun way to transport ourselves there and back - there are also taxi services and a free daily shuttle). Also, remember you are staying in the jungle, so there will be evidence of creepy crawlies, etc. Nothing major, but there is an outdoor shower, which I was a bit of a coward about using, even though it was beautiful. You would get that aspect anywhere, and the villa was completely spic and span.

Beautiful room, pool, and view!”

Best things about the hotel were the pool and view due to the jungle location, the friendly staff, and the big comfy room with outdoor bathroom!

My sister and I stayed at Dedari Villas for 3 nights. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating with everything we needed. They organised transfers from the airport and to Legian at a reasonable price, and organised our tour to Mt Batur including pickup and local guide. The hotel also has a free shuttle at 10am to Ubud town (about five or ten mins away) and 2.30pm pickup. But for just a small amount (same price as taxi) they dropped us in outside of these times also! The location is out of the center, but we were still able to spend time in the town and go to the local restaurants, yet still get the amazing jungle view and relaxed feeling out the the main town! The breakfast was served on our front terrace looking down at the pool and jungle and was delicious, we ate eggs and banana pancakes which came with fruits and juice and tea/coffee! The room itself was large, big king size bed (we asked for a twin room so they set up an additional bed in our room, the king bed was so big though so we didn't need the other in the end!). The outdoor bathroom was a nice feature also, feels like you are showering in the jungle! Definitely recommend a stay here - 3 nights were perfect!

Beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful service ”

food, service, situation

We were very pleased with our choice of Ubud Dedari Villas. It is a beautifully situated hotel with carefully decorated rooms and pristine grounds. The food was excellent and the staff provided a really helpful, friendly, and personal service. On the downside, the location is about 5km outside of Ubud - making it slightly inconvenient. However, the manager did provide a free daily shuttle service. Best of all, however, the village around the hotel provided a fascinating taste of authentic Balinese culture - traditional compound homes, noisy temple ceremonies, animals wandering around in the street. A mesmerizing experience.

Privacy, service and view

We stayed at Dedari villas for four nights. It was our honeymoon. We got an upgrade to queen villa(room 7), which was located on the lower level and had great view of the rain forest. I would suggest either room 6 or queen room 7, i think they are the best ones and more quite. Food - we had a dinner one night at the Dedari and it was pleasant, cant say that it it gourmet food but was good. Service - was very good and very attentive Location - it is a bit far from Ubud centre so i recommend renting a scooter, otherwise the taxi will cost you $5 one way. Gardens are very nice and well maintained. Overally we loved our stay there and would recommend this hotel.

Beautiful peaceful retreat”

Everything we had hoped for and more, beautiful very spacious bungalow, very clean, great service!

Well away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud and daily shuttle bus into Ubud or cheap taxi also available. In house catering was very good, we only went out to dinner twice! Just enjoyed the peaceful surroundings on our balcony or the swimming pool. Having private access to the Elephant temple and river was a real bonus! The hotel is actually situated in Budulu village and we got to know the neighbours quite well who even invited us to the biggest Hindu ceremony of the year! Dressed in traditional costume, we felt very honoured to be part of this very special event! We would warmly recommend Dedari villas to anyone seeking peace and quiet in a tranquil forrest setting.

private and serene villas, service with a smile”

private, quiet, good service!

we stayed 2 nights in ubud and 3 nights in kuta. dedari villas was a great experience. less than 10 villas, so very quiet and private. each villa overlooks the pool and thick forest beyond that! there is a river just below, can't see but can clearly be heard! very zen-like! the manager and his staff were very friendly, always smiling and addressed us by name. we requested to be dropped off to our next hotel(in kuta) and took us on a scenic route and explained a lot of things along the way. enjoyed it, thank you! nothing much to complain. ubud has relatively thick vegetation and rivers. very wet. hence lots of insects. but we didn't have much issues once inside our villa. but visitors should be aware of this. i think that is part of the charm for a place like this. if you are not comfortable with creepy crawlies, you'd be better off staying in the bigger hotels in kuta/legian. though dedari (like other hotels in bali) do fogging weekly.

Absolute Bliss!! Stay here you won’t regret it.”

Recently stayed at the Dedari Villas in Ubud for 3 nights. Wow!! It was remote and overlooking the rainforest. We booked a deluxe room. The room was perfect cannot fault it. The bathroom was beautiful my favourite part of the room. Stones walls and basins, bath and open shower overlooking the rainforest. Breakfast delivered to our balcony terrace every morning. To get into Ubud city they have a shuttle that will do pick ups and drop offs. If you needed a lift at a different time to shuttle operation times for a small fee they will gladly arrange to pick you up or drop you into the city. The infinity pool was spectacular and the view just breathtaking. Staff also friendly and helpful. You won’t regret staying here. We will be returning for sure.

A wonderful place to just relax !! ”

Rooms were so comfortable and very large. The infinity Pool had amazing views over the vallet and rainforest. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

We had a wonderful time relaxing in this small but beautiful Hotel. With just 7 Villas it is intimate and relaxing amidst gorgeous views over the valley and rainforest. The infinity pool was a great central feature and very clean to swim in. We would definitely stay here again but for more than 3 nights as we were just starting to wind down after the third day. The breakfasts are wonderful and served to your room. The only room for improvement would be to add more options to the evening dining menu which were limited due to the small size of this hotel, however for us just wanting to totally relax, if we were to return for a longer period the evening menu options would be exhausted very quickly leaving things a little repetitive. That said the meals we did order were reasonably priced for a hotel, simple but well presented and tasty. On our last day we left for Jimbiran and the manager took us, he was excellent, providing not just transport but lots of local information and sights as we descended down to the beach area of Jimbiran, we really enjoyed this and it made the transfer more like a little tour. Wonderful. Thanks to you all at Dedari Villas. We will be back. Richard and Jane Walker

A wonderful surprise! Only 6 or 7 individual, luxury cabins in a spectacular jungle setting overlooking a ravine. Away from the town centre but lovely and private”

Private, quiet

Entering into the Dedari Villa's was like coming to a private oasis in the jungle. There are only a handful of villas, and we got number 7 which I think turned out to be the best because we had a magnificent view of the jungle. The pool area is brilliant and the rooms themselves clean, spacious and tidy. The staff are wonderful and Poernomo (I think that is the correct spelling) the hotel manager is brilliant- full of wonderful knowledge about the area. He gave us some great restaurant tips. The only downside is the villa is about 10-20 mins from the Ubud town center. This is good and bad. I think if the hotel served better food the distance would not had been so bad. We went for a walk and there is a nice restaurant with wonderful views just up the road called Petanu River restaurant. It is worth also exploring the neighbourhood, there are a lot of temples.

Great facilities and fantastic service”

Great value for money

we really enjoyed our time at dedari villas as the staff were amazing and really hospitable. the hotel was away from the hustle and bustle of ubud centre thus it was very quiet.this meant there were no restaurants within walking distance and we had to catch a 10 minute taxi to get to the restauant district. the only con about our stay were the uninvited guests in our private outdoor bathroom but we also expected this as we were staying in a rainforest. the view made up for the uninvited guests.
