Ubud Lestari Bungalows
An absolutely beautiful room (we stayed in one of the suites) right in the heart of Ubud, but once you're there you would never know you were in the middle of one of the island's busiest towns. Our room was so stylish, with a great bathroom and balcony overlooking rice fields. Extra touches, such as a burning mosquito coil placed on the balcony when we got back in the evening, made our stay feel even more special. Such a shame we could only stay for one night.
Komang was a gracious and generous host, so helpful and patient (I kept changing my mind on my tours and dates!). I had a really great few days here. Breakfast was delicious and the Balinese coffee was so yum! Bathroom was clean and room made up everyday (if you need it!). I upgraded myself to a suite my last night, and it was amazing! Views during the rain storms absolutely stunning. I could hear beautiful chanting and singing from neighboring ceremonies. If your budget allows, I definitely recommend the suite. So comfy. Go'on treat yo'self!
A little treasure hidden down a small alley right in the heart of Ubud.”
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times and would gently appear when they suspected that they were needed! Fabulous! Our room overlooked a magnificent landscape of tropicana - rainforest etc.
Dirty toilet seat in room CEMPAKA”
I lived in room CEMPAKA on October 3, the toilet seat is very dirty, full of black stinking things on it, I immediately ask the staff to clean it, the staff said: "it doesn't look that bad", but it does! After I insist to clean it, the staff came and wash it, but some of the stinking things can not be washed, so I still can't use it. Except for the toilet seat, the wall is mottled, the shutter in the bathroom and the bed sheet is dirty too, it even has blood stains on the bed sheet! I was very disappointed because I saw lots of good reviews about Lestari, people lived here said that this place is very clean, but it is not true. Any way, it has good location, good swimming pool and good breakfast, but the facility in the room needs to be repair, especially the toilet seat ant the shutter.
During my trip to Bali I stayed in 4 different hotels including a high end resort on the north shore that overlooked the ocean but but my suite at Ubud Lestari was my favorite. My room was a new construction, decorated Bali style and super cute. I just wanted a place that felt like Bali and I got it. This room had two big sliding doors that opened onto the balcony which overlooked rice fields on one side and a grove of trees on the other. This room had A/C too and I didn't have to worry about bugs. I have to say, though, that the biggest deterrent for me was that I had to walk down this narrow alley from Monkey Forest Rd to get to the bungalows. In the day time it's not so bad but at night, it might feel a bit creepy. The benefit of this is that my bungalow felt secluded in a good way and very serene. After checking out some of the other hotels, I discovered that this was not uncommon as many establishments were on lots that was set way back from the street. Other than that, I would highly recommend this place.
I'll be back!”
Surprised to find such a nice, quiet and calming hotel off such a busy stretch of Jalan Monkey Forest. the rooms were beautifully furnished and the view from the balcony was superb. I easily could have just spent ll my time in the room!
I arrived so late there and they were waiting for me in the entrance. From then onwards the staff was so kind! The rooms were big, had so good prize and the location was the best. I cannot say anything negative about my stay there! Amazing! Thanks a lot!
A hidden gem. ”
We stayed 4 nights at the Sandat Suite and it was everything we wanted. Located along the Monkey Forest Road and just a short walk into the alley, we found ourselves away from the busyness of Ubud and into a quiet, lush retreat that we find it hard to leave. Our room was in a newer building that was still under construction but that didn't bother us a single bit. We enjoyed the simple but tasty breakfast every morning at the balcony, looking at the greenery and listening to the ducks quack. It is very pleasant to be so near to nature while enjoying the urban comfort of a clean and modern room with cable TV and Wifi (the fastest I had in Indonesia). The room is huge, with plenty of space to lounge around (the daybed in the room or in the balcony). We enjoyed the pool which was overlooking a padi field. Highly recommended if you're looking for convenient yet a relaxing place to stay!
Amazing place in central Ubud”
We couldn't have been more pleased with this property. It's unbelievably quiet with nice views across a rice field. The room is huge!! It seems fairly new, it's extremely comfortable, has a large bathroom, AC, fan, refrigerator. Very comfortable bed and pillow. Breakfast, consisting of eggs/toast or pancakes, large plate of fresh fruit and of course coffee/tea, was served on our terrace. The pool was great. This was the best property of the three we stayed at over two different visits to Ubud.
Great location, helpful staff, lovely pool”
Stayed 6 nights and found it a great base to do heaps of activities from (rafting, quad-biking, downhill cycling, mountain trekking, Bali Bird Park and Elephant Safari Park). The drivers were easily able to pick us up at the end of the lane-way. Walking distance to monkey forest and many dances (we chose Kecak fire dance which was a bit further away but still walking distance). The Lestari staff were lovely, helpful and smiling. Linen was very clean, bathroom could do with a bit of a spring clean, breakfast was basic but good with a lovely fruit platter, swimming pool was very peaceful and nice, air conditioning and fan worked well, plenty of hot water, good toilet facilities. No TV and patchy WiFi. If we come back to Ubud we will definitely try and stay here.
Great value for the money spent”
the hotel is ~100 meters from a small road (just enough space for two persons) beside the happening monkey forest street, you will easily miss it if don't pay attention. this is a quiet and lovely hotel with steps away from the busy money forest street. the environment is cool with a small rice filed at the back that you can have a walk in the morning. there room is big and clean with a balcony; you can have your breakfast at the balcony while enjoying the morning fresh air. the staff is very friendly and polite that always ready to assist you. no amenities in the room, no tv but with free wifi service. i would say this is the best value for money hotel i got during my stay in bali.
A nice place.”
The house is good and the location is great and very convenient to find food. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Charming - Room Ratna overlooking rice field”
This absolutely charming accommodation is set well back from the main road, so it's peaceful and quiet. Choose Ratna Room for the best scenic views from inside or seated on your balcony. Breakfast is very simple. There'ss a quaint small-sized pool suitable for a dip, not for lengths. The location is an easy distance to the Ubud Market tho away from the best streets for shops/caf . I appreciated the return ride to shows + the good-natured help with my heavy luggage. The flipside: Room Ratna is a long way from reception; the assistants were smoking around the kitchen/phone area; There's no phone available for use. I was unable to make urgent international calls to my airline for flight changes and excess baggage checks (and the one Internet cafe was closed at 6pm); the room's Internet connection was unreliable, even though a technician was brought in. This was an inconvenience as I had to carry my heavy laptop from upstairs into the next room, to the pool or to the reception to connect.
Room and view were beautiful, breakfast was good and staff were friendly. The room wasn't properly sealed so the AC didn't work very well and insects got into the room.
GREAT LOCATION SUPERB CHOICE”
Everything about this place is faultless..We had a suite which is well worth the extra. We would rather have a kettle than the vacuum flask for good boiling water.
Good homestay choice with strategic location”
Big room with warm stuff. Concerns are no kettle in room, so have to call to kitchen for hot water supply, and no TV available. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
Awesome place ”
The rooms are impeccably clean and very comfortable with both AC and Fan. The staff couldn't be more helpful. And you have your own patio. Would highly reccomend staying here.
What a wonderful hotel”
