All Around Excellent”
We loved this property! Location: For me, this location was ideal. Situated amongst shops, galleries, restaurants and tourist attractions, everything was easily accessible. Ubud Village is just down the street from Monkey Sanctuary and a short walk from some beautiful scenery. The Ubud Palace (with nightly Balinese dance shows) and arts market are also minutes away. Taxis and motor bikes are everywhere for convenience. Hotel: We stayed in a junior suite and loved it. The room is well appointed and comfortable with high-end finishes, toiletries and lots of space. The staff were awesome! We were offered welcome drinks, explained the property/area and assisted with booking activities. (it's not necessary to book activities/tours in advance or with the hotel directly - there are so many booths/guides in the area for this - but we actually saved money by booking with the hotel and we sensed they were grateful that we did). We had to cancel one activity with short notice due to timing and there were no questions asked; the staff were helpful and understanding. There is a nice restaurant on site which is a bit fancy but not pricey; the food was good and included both western and Indonesian fare. Our breakfast was excellent, though we were too busy to enjoy it daily. The rooftop bar serves complimentary tea and the downstairs bar offers two-for-one cocktails during happy hour. (There are 24 hour convenient stores down the street if you'd rather make your own cocktails or walk around with a Bintang beer). Summary: We love Ubud and the Ubud Village hotel. With so many choices, it's hard choosing a property from afar, in a place you've never visited. I don't always write reviews but I am now because I relied on reviews myself when planning our vacation. We'll definitely stay here again when we return to Ubud (hopefully soon)!
Fantastic restful stay”
My partner and I decided to stay at the Ubud Village Hotel as one of our many hotel stops around Bali, and it did not disappoint! The rooms were large, extremely comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were luxurious and the general twice daily turn down service was much appreciated after a long day. The food and breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel (let alone Bali). The selection was good and the staff were extremely helpful and you could feel that they truly wanted to make your stay memorable and easy. I would recommend this to everyone planning to go to Ubud. It's right in the centre of town (walking distance of everything important) but feels like a world away from the busy streets- it's serene and peaceful. The spa also gives a fantastic Balinese massage would recommend! Thanks Ubud Village staff you were great!
My husband and I stayed two nights at the Deluxe room at this hotel during our week-long trip in Bali. I booked the hotel based on the great reviews from previous customers, and this Hotel stayed true and even beyond my expectation. Checking in was seamless and comfortable (we were escorted to the lounge area to enjoy our welcome drink while they did all the paperwork)! The room was big, clean and quiet! Bed and pillow were very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean! No issue at all with the water temperature (hot water was working great). Amenities were good. We also tried the dinner at Maluku restaurant, and this was one of the most memorable dinner we had (taste wise and service!). Location was 10/10! Thanks Ubud Village, we will definitely come back when we return to Bali!
Holiday in paradise”
I booked the Ubud Village Hotel months ago after extensive online research. I had very particular requirements for this holiday. I wanted a balcony with a gorgeous aspect. I wanted a solid table with 2 solid chairs in the room as my partner, who is a writer was also going to need to work comfortably on his computer whilst we stayed. I looked for a gym as we are trying to stay fit. I wanted location. Somewhere in central Ubud was a plus with cafes and choice s around. The Ubud Village Hotel had all of these but so much more. It is owned by a Balinese family and so has much more of a personal feel and a Balinese feel than a hotel owned by a big chain. Everywhere in the hotel you get a sense of personal care and attention. I think research plus pure good luck landed us at this wonderful hotel. I bring away such happy memories
Great location. Wonderful staff”
The Ubud Village Hotel is centrally located in the heart of Ubud close to countless good quality restaurants and tourist destinations such as the Monkey Temple. Check is a late 2pm. We arrived much earlier than this and whilst they secured our luggage we were free to use the facilities until our room was ready. We got the usual free upgrade to a room which was quiet, spacious, clean and ideally located on the second floor only a flight of stairs (or fast elevator)to reception and the outside world or the pool areas or to the top floor pool area and free afternoon tea. The only downside is that we had to ask for a sheet for our bed which was originally fitted with a heavy doona....too hot and heavy with the AC on. Bar service at the pool was nonexistent and took ages to get a drink. Breakfast options were varied with both local and western dishes available. Overall, a great place to stay if you want to spoil yourselves as it’s not cheap compared to other places in Ubud.
Great hotel right in the heart of Ubud and very accommodating staff - thank you!”
The Ubud Village Hotel offers great value for money (esp via Agoda) & is super conveniently located in the middle of Monkey Forest Road, so just a short stroll to the Monkey Forest in one direction & a short stroll to Ubud Palace in the other. The street is full of restaurants, shops & more. The room was pretty large & clean, while the bathroom was huge with a fantastic rain shower. Only comments are that the room had a mouldy smell & the pillow cases looked due for replacement (rest of the bedding was new, though), but not big issues. The restaurant offers excellent value for money & has surprisingly good food, not just at breakfast, but also dinner. All staff were super friendly & helpful (in person; email correspondence is lacking) & even went out of the way to help us with a special breakfast box request & luggage storage on a day we needed to checkout very early for a trek. That was really lovely of the chef & staff - thank you, and thank you to everyone else for the great stay!
Excellent Location, Rejuvenating Interiors”
I'm so happy (and even smug!) that I decided on Ubud Village Hotel. Its central location makes it a perfect base for exploring everything in the area. For one, if you're a first-time visitor like me, it's just 9 minutes away from the legendary Monkey Forest (which is very worth visiting, with monkeys living wild and free). The hotel also happens to sit on a long street lined with a wide range of charming shops, including home décor store Balizen (the Ubud branch is much larger than the one in Seminyak, and offered exclusive discounts at the time I went there). It is also easy and relatively quick to walk into the busiest part of town (around 20 minutes). You'll congratulate yourself for staying here! Checking in was a very pleasant process, after a long journey from the airport (around 1.5 hours by car). The welcome drink was so refreshing and set the tone of my stay. I didn't get the chance to use the pool or the rooftop bar (also worth checking out!) but they were beautiful spots
Excellent place close to many attractions in Ubud”
Ubud Village is an excellent place to stay with clean room, nice breakfast with limited menu and the most important is the location. Within walkable distance you have Monkey Forest, Ubud market, Ubud Palace, Saraswati Temple and most of the traditional events like dances etc. happens in nearby places. The hotel is value for money and Ubud is the best place in Bali if you are a nature lover & want to experience the local Tradition/ Culture. They also have in-house 24 Hr resturant & lot of other options nearby. This is a must recommended place.
Great stay in Ubud”
The Ubud Village Hotel was a great hotel to stay at. We stayed 3 nights but wanted to stay longer. A beautiful hotel with clean, large rooms. Everything about the hotel is lovely and relaxing. The swimming pool is not huge but very relaxing and a nice place to spend a morning or afternoon. Breakfast was a highlight - ordering from a menu rather than the traditional buffet style. Plenty of options and made breakfast an experience. Tried the Indonesian porridge one morning which was delicious. Would highly recommend a stay at the Ubud Village and hope to be back soon.
oasis in ubud”
We absolutely LOVED the Ubud Village Hotel. We would recommend to any and all travelers. All of the amenities you'd desire for a very fair price. Staff is friendly and helpful, location is convenient. Despite the hustle, bustle and congestion of the city itself, this place felt very private and quiet. When we return to Bali, we will stay here.
Beautiful modern hotel with a traditional feel”
We stayed in a rooftop villa which was just lovely, it felt very spacious and private and we especially liked the outside shower ( there is an indoor shower as well). The staff were so attentive and remembered our names throughout our stay, greeting us each time we came back to the hotel. The facilities are excellent and the hotel has managed to retain a very traditional feel while being modern. We stayed for 3 nights and I would have happily stayed longer. If I ever return to Ubud I will definitely stay at the Ubud Village Hotel again.
Excellent position, spacious bathroom”
The location of the hotel is perfect for shopping, dining. You have everything around the hotel like 24h convenient shops, morney changers... We could take a short walk to art market Ubud for souvenirs. The room is a pleasant place to rest after lots of walking the day. We like the design of the bathroom and facilities inside. The service is worth a 4 star hotel and we've got 20% off discount coupon for lunch or dinner. Ubud village hotel is our perfect stay in Ubud.
Great Hotel in an Excellent Location”
Ubud Village Hotel ticked all the boxes for me. Excellent central location, but once inside all very calm and quiet. Rooms are lovely, they are comfortable and spacious and have all the basics. Bed was so comfortable. Facilities are good. Pool is nice, although a bit cool at this time of year. Rooftop area where afternoon tea is served is lovely. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of choices from the menu which are brought to your table. Fantastic service from friendly, professional staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
This is a beautiful property and value for money. I had a premier deluxe room and it was airy, spacious and had a huge shower and a great stand alone bathtub. The staff were exceptional. They made me feel very welcome as a solo traveller. The spa at the hotel is not cheap but it is luxurious and you are served tea on the terrace after your treatment. Putu was therapist and she was wonderful. I had a hot stone massage and a Balinese massage. I highly recommend everything about Ubud Village Hotel!
Ubud city center”
If you've opted to stay in a hotel instead of villas in ubud, this would be considered an exceptional hotel for cleanliness, decor of room and the amazing central location in Ubud city center. The room and bathrooms are quite amazing for a hotel. I tried the restaurant and sadly i would suggest going elsewhere for same quiality at a cheaper price. There's two pools which opens late at 9am instead of normal time like 7z The gym isn't really a gym and it has 4 machines that look like it's about to break. Bali service is always exceptional and the staff are extremely friendly like everywhere else.
Upon first welcoming, the staff was exceptional. Always pleasant, attended to problems quickly if there were any. The breakfast was great. The rooms are super clean, the shower is HUGE, the air conditioning worked well. I loved it. It's also located next to everything. 10 minute walk to Monkey Forest, 15 minute walk to the major temple and ceremonies. 10 minute walk to Ubud Market. It was perfect. The only thing with this place is Grab and Go Jek WILL NOT PICK YOU UP HERE. So...be prepared with cash for a taxi if you want to get out of Ubud and see some other stuff. They rideshare services will drop you off, but you can't get picked up. So be prepared to haggle with the taxi drivers. Also, Ubud Village coordinated with my taxi driver to pick me up from the airport and the rate was super fair. So, maybe even look to them to arrange a taxi for you.
A really nice stay at Ubud Village Hotel”
I had a really pleasant stay at Ubud Village Hotel. On the outside, the hotel might not seem noticeable but once you are in the hotel room, it was really spacious and cosy. All the basic necessities such as toiletries, etc were provided. Housekeeping sets the room twice, once in the day and once at night. The breakfast was not the usual buffet breakfast but they had a good selection for guests to choose from the menu, and I have to say that I enjoyed the breakfasts on the two days that I stayed here. There are two pools which was big enough to swim in and they have a nice roof top bar which gives a pretty good view of the surroundings in the day. The staffs were friendly and welcoming which adds to the overall pleasantness of the place. Location of the hotel is pretty good and there are plenty of dining places to choose from if you just wanted to relax in the area. Head to Buddha bar if you are there as it's a minute's walk from the hotel. They have a pretty good live band there. Overall, I like the place and will recommend it to most travelers be it single, couples or families.
Lovely Hotel, centrally located, excellent customer service”
This was my first time at Ubud Village Hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. I was upgraded to a villa which was delightful. The hotel is clean and conveniently located in the village. The Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The Spa was excellent and I enjoyed the 90 min Aromatherapy treatment. The only reason why I put 4 stars for facilities was because the food in the restaurant was just ok. I had breakfast both mornings.
Actually matched the pictures! Great place to stay in Ubud”
This was one of the only places that I pre-booked for my stay in Bali that actually matched the pictures online. The hotel is beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. Now for some truth. When I first checked in, I saw some stains on my sheet and then asked them to change them, and saw that there were urine (or other???) stains on the mattress pad. They stripped the bed and brought fresh linens from the package. Some of their towels and bedding are dingy, but that is because they don't use bleach (bad for the enviornment). The AC left some things to be desired, but considering that the bathroom was clean, there were no bugs or other animals in my room, they have an elevator/lift for getting to rooms, I enjoyed my stay here. They also offer free yoga classes on certain days and sunset tea service on the roof. It is close to Ubud Market, Monkey Forest and other attractions in Ubud. Clear Cafe is a 15 min walk away, great for vegans/vegetarians/pescatarians. One of the better hotels.
Highlight of Ubud”
Excellent location and a little oasis just minutes away from the monkey forest, the Ubud Village hotel is perfect on all accounts. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the public areas like the 2 pools are the perfect getaways from the busy streets beyond the doors of the hotel. Should I come back to Ubud, I will be staying here again.
