We have stayed at the Brown House a few times now and keep coming back due to it's overall value. Prior to finding the Brown House, we have stayed in many of the hotels in Udon Thani city center. While not in downtown, it is a short Tuk Tuk drive away. We like the fact it is a bit further away because of the lack of noise. With what we believe is the best hotel pool in Udon Thani, it is a best bet for families with children. In addition, Nong Bua park is an easy 5 minute walk to the lake and has swings, slide, exercise equipment, etc dotted around the lake. Good breakfast and nice staff add to the overall experience.

Love everything about this boutique hotel. Great location in central city. Stayed with my wife, which we live in Northen Thailand and frequently stay in Udon Thani. This is our choice of hotels to stay in Udon Thani for many reasons. I'm American and my wife is Thai and can both find great selections of international cuisine. We are always looking forward to coming back to try different items on the menu. I grew up on some of the best pizza in the world, at least I think I did, the chef makes a pizza definitely worth coming back for. Comfortable rooms with good beds, not too hard and not too soft. It's not a Heavenly Bed but plenty comfortable. Nice clean pool and quite area. Never see too many kids around but kid friendly. Great value, you won't be disappoint at all for the price. A good thumbs UP!

The hotel is very nice, I've stayed here several times. It is located next to Nong Prajak, a lake in one of the centers of Udon Thani (the other main center would be by the train station). The hotel is walking distance (across the lake) from Udon Thani museum, the city god temple, and (being Thailand) of course some street food and massage. Plenty of parking behind the hotel. Overall a very pleasant place to stay, and I expect I'll be back.

Our family lives in Khon Kaen, Thailand now, but for six years we lived in Udon Thani. We enjoy traveling back to see friends, go shopping, and to attend UTBC events. Whenever we travel there we stay at the B2 Udon Thani Boutique and Budget Hotel. The price is amazing for what you get. We love the presidential suite in which our daughters can have their own room, yet be connected...In the event we get two separate rooms, it is very safe and I feel that my teenage daughters are able to get their own room. We don't eat there, but I believe they have food. I love that the lobby bathroom has many stalls. It is not fancy by any means...but it is just perfect for our visits. The beds and pillows are wonderfully comfy and the closet space and surfaces are perfectly adequate. There is a small fridge and television. I actually enjoy the look of wood and gray painted walls...I am not sure what that is called as far as design but I think it is fun! We enjoy our stays!

Professional staffs, Clean, new rooms, location, price. I think they have 2 branches in Udon Thani and the other one is even better. I though the price was too cheap but when i looked closely to udon thani hotels are usually in a good condition with a very good price. Hope asian people dont make the price go up again because i think udon thani is famous for western old people to settle down after retire i was wondering why the prices are so low..

I like this hotel in Udon Thani and have stayed here on a number occasions in the past. Good place to stay if you have a car as it is a little away from the central area of the city. However, for my needs,the hotel is ideal, due to its quiet location, and large carpark. Plus I like the charming central garden. The staff are always helpful. The bedroom is a good size, with a large balcony overlooking the garden, although I do find the bathroom a little small. The breakfast is buffet is adequate but this is more than made up by the cook to order selection of egg dishes.

Being a young a family it was important to stay at a hotel that was clean, friendly and fun and this hotel ticked all the boxes. Staff and security were super friendly and helpful, we really felt happy and comfortable at this location. The hotel rooms were very large, modern and clean. I've never stayed at hotel at this price with such a large, clean and organized hotel rooms. The swimming pool and water slides were great fun too. Buffet breakfast was a bargain at 120 baht all you can eat with a fantastic spread of delicious clean food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 9D sports hotel and will now only stay at this hotel when we visit Udon Thani. From the moment we were driven into the hotel entrance, we could sense something special about this hotel in Udon Thani. The check in staff were very efficient and helpful, and the bell captain and his staff were fabulous. The room was very well appointed and had a good sized bathroom,seating, and a comfortable bed. There was ample hanging space and a security safe within the room. On the occasions that we required room service, the delivery was extremely fast. Transportation into the city was located at the front entrance, and there were many choices of small shops and market stalls within a minutes walk from the main hotel entrance gate. I would most certainly stay at the Ban Chiang Hotel on future trips to this wonderful city, and I would thoroughly recommend other people to stay here when visiting Udon Thani for business or pleasure. The photos of the hotel displayed on the Agoda website are accurate.

One of the nicest hotels that I have stayed in especially as it is a small independant. The room and bathroom are finished off and decorated beautifully and the bed and bedding is so comfy you dont want to get up in the morning. Excellent breakfast and what they have done with the roofspace is incredible, a lovely swimming pool complete with safe kiddies area, and the most gorgeous sitting area carpeted with astroturf and enclosed with lovely trees and fitted out with tables and chairs to enjoy a drink in the evenings while enjoying the views. We had booked for three nights but unfortunately had to leaveafter two nights becauseof work commitments, but I can say that I have no doubt if we return to Udon this is where we will stay.

The hotel seemed to be newly built, so facilities and furnishings are all brand new. It is definitely one of the most value-for-money hotel in Udon Thani, comes with breakfast as well. However, the downside is that this hotel is located away from the bustling side of the city and you definitely need to have your own transport to get to places as there wasn't any sign of a convenience store in the vicinity and it is located in right in the small alley of a rather rundown soi. If not, I would rate it 5 stars!

My wife and I stayed 2 nights and found the hotel centrally located and quite easy to find. There was plenty of parking space and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is new only 6 months old. There is not a pool or gym but a good restaurant. The menu is Thai not Western but the quality of the food was excellent and good value. The breakfast is adequate and well set up. Value for money this hotel is exceptional. Will stay here again when we visit Udon Thani again.

I booked this hotel for 2 rooms for 2 nights. The hotel is new and clean. There is free coffee/tea in the lobby. I got my rooms on the first floor of the hotel but I couldn't sleep well for a night due to very lound noise of some terrible guests wating and playing in front of the elevator around 2 am without any staff stopping them. It's such a nightmare ever. I was trying to call the reception in that time but no one picked up the phone. The location is quite far from the city center if you don't have your own car, forget about staying in this hotel because there is no public transportation passing by. Other than those points,this hotel is quite nice , new and provide free and fast wifi.

This place has met above my expectation for the price I booked at. Clean beds and facilities, with helpful staffs. Location is walkable to the central plaza (around10-15mins) with some restaurants on the way. Only minor flaw is that common area is not air conditioned and is in only space, though I guess it makes it more environmental friendly. All in all, would stay again if come back to Udon Thani

THE LAKE UDON ! Remember this name when you visit as this is the best hotel in Udon Thani! For me, best means the right balance between quality and price. And, for Udon Thani, this is the best! The hotel has just been totally renovated, and everything is brand new. After one night at the Lake, I knew I would be a regular customer from now on. Starting from the lobby, with the help of very nice, friendly, and professional manager Khun OH, he gave me the keys to a spacious room with a view of Lake Nhong Prachak and already I got pointers on where I am going to have my dinner for the night. I felt special from the very beginning to the end. The lobby, though small, is beautifully decorated with a coffee and tea at your disposal. The room is tastefully decorated, brightly lit, and the bed is very comfortable! The bathroom and shower are very clean and nice. Overall, I had the best stay ever in Udon Thani, and definitely will recommend The Lake Hotel to anyone without reservation!

Yup, this is my home in Udon Thani. While, yes, there are other cheaper options in the city, this place boasts of: 1) A-1 entrance security system, 2) proximity to interesting places (baht bus to Nong Prajak Park and the like; 8-min walk to Central Plaza, main bus station, UD Town night market, train station, etc), 3) cheap but with great quality and interesting neighbouring food shops (including a 7-11, 10-baht donut shop, a superb breakfast nook and a cooked meat shop like no other in front of the 7-11, I tell you!), and lots more! In other places where you could save 150-200 baht per night, UD House compensates by cutting your transport expenses in getting around the city. It’s simply just in the right place for all the good reasons to enjoy and appreciate Udon Thani … again, I tell you!

The hotel which has 8 rooms was built in 2013 and is run by a kind Thai couple. I suspect they or at least one of them has had elaborate experience in the hotel business in the higher scale segment, since it is rare to come across a well thought through design and professionality on such a small scale. The rooms are large and has the amenities of a 5 star hotel. We slept on a wonderful king size bed with double pillows. The toilet and shower are separated and there's even a double shower head. Outdoors on the balcony and indoors there are small tables for two to work on your laptop or for a romantic continuation of the day hop on one of the two free bikes for a bottle of wine from the 7-Eleven nearby. At breakfast taken care of by the wife, coffee tea and chocolate milk are self-service. The rest is cooked on an individual basis. There's choice of American style (Toast, butter, jam, eggs of choice, sausages and cooked ham) and Udon Thani style (Rice soup, hot rolls with cooked sausage/ham and Vietnamese fried eggs with ground meat served in a small pan) after which fruits are served. If you have any special requests I'm sure they will take care of it within reason. The husband who runs the reception in the daytime, gave us valuable advice for our trips. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked an extra night. Even though we booked the hotel with a special offer, they took care for free transport to the airport. Tip: When leaving the hotel, bring a business card. Tn the back there's a small road map. Since the Lion King is just one year old, not all taxi and tuk-tuk drivers will know the place.

The Karin Hotel is ideally situated for Shopping and Nightlife in Udon Thani, I was never more than 10 Minutes walk from a Shopping Mail, Nice Restaurant or a Lively Bar. The Room at the Karin had every thing I needed, was very clean throughout from the Carpark, Reception, Customer Ateas and of course the Room. When I'm in Udon Thani again I would be happy to stay at this Hotel. It would have been perfect if they had a pool but unfortunately they didn't have one. Ps: The Staff were very friendly and helpful. Many thanks
