The view is EVEN BETTER than the images would suggest (although the place is smaller than the pictures would let you believe). The staff is constantly maintaining and cleaning the buildings and the gardens. The food was great, they even catered to our gluten-free needs and got us gluten-free bread and pancakes for breakfast! The staff was so attentive, the bartender got me a spoon without asking when she realized I was going for the fruit in the mocktails. The entire place looks something out of a movie. Its owner had a really rough time building up the place part by part, piece by piece which makes the results even more amazing. The woodwork is expectational and every decoration is really detailed, the place has its own history. The whole place has the aura of a Balinese Paradise as if its gods and spirits were looking over to ensure the safety of the inhabitants of the hotel. If you do not mind stairs (a lot of stairs), geckos visiting and frogs living in the river waking you up in the middle of the night with their ribbiting (what do you expect from living in a rain forest?) then by all means, do book this hotel! Would definetely go back, even without the free room update!

5 Star Experience! ”
Firstly - the location of this place is phenomenal. Photos just don’t do the views justice! It is a 5 minute drive to town (courtesy shuttle bus available via hotel every hour with very clear drop off and pick up point) but you are smack bang in the middle of the jungle. Staff were SO accomodating and insisted on carrying our bags down the many stairs! Room was exceptionally appointed, incredibly clean and bathroom facilities were great - LOVED the rainfall shower head and complimentary bath salts. Breakfast was included in our stay and was made fresh daily. The pool is beautifully maintained. NO cons at all - the only thing that needs to be pointed out is that there are many stairs, so if you have dodgy knees or you’re unfit ask for a top room so you’re not struggling! Overall an incredible three night stay and couldn’t recommend Ulun Ubud more. Nothing was an issue for staff, including arranging transfers to our next place to stay. 5 star and we will be sure to be back.

My partner & I stayed at Ulun Ubud for 3 nights and every part of it was amazing. The resort itself is beautifully picturesque (I couldn't stop smiling as I walked through reception and saw the incredible outlook) and the staff couldn't be lovelier or more helpful. We stayed in a private pool suite which was awesome and our windows opened up to the amazing view which had an intense peaceful energy that's hard to describe or show in photos. The hotel was really clean and the restaurant menu was fantastic with good quality food/dining - we ate there multiple times. Our breakfast was included, which meant we could order whatever we wanted off the menu (entree, main, bread, smoothie/coffee) at no extra cost. We couldn't have asked for a better stay, this hotel was a highlight of the trip and we felt like royalty. Thanks so much to the kind staff at Ulun xx

Simply the best.”
My daughter and I stayed, arrived to a very warm welcome treated like queens, lovely refreshing welcome drink and fruit whilst absorbing the stunning view. Day Spa prior to going to room "Brilliant" lovely ladies who know how to pamper you. The staff are incredible so friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay the very best it can be. Beautiful and very very clean room, great restaurant, lovely pool with nice bar / relaxation area. Many steps to the pool but when booking this Hotel I'm sure you would be aware of that. Staff assist with transport if you don't take advantage of the complimentary shuttle service. 2nd time to Ulan Ubud and there will definitely be another stay. Love it.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!”
What a place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ulun Ubud Resort. We occupied one of the newer rooms at the top of the property with a pool on our doorstep. The room was tastefully decorated and more than spacious enough for our requirements. There was absolutely nothing better than having breakfast on the Lap and there were more than enough tasty options on the menu to choose from. Afternoon tea was a simple dish of cookies and tea, but is a thoughtful addition for guests. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and made us feel like royalty the entire stay. The views from the property are stunning and the whole place is imbued with Balinese ambience. We also made use of the resort's spa which was fantastic, as well as the tour services. While the tour services may have been priced slightly higher than third party offerers, the customer service and receptivity of the drivers more than made up for the price difference. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful accommodation with excellent service!”
We were in Ulun Ubud for four nights — and more than happy to have had this experience! Rooms are new, modern, spacious, and clean. Service is excellent, tours are set up, requests are handled with care and speed. Food is served in the restaurant, with an extensive and tasty breakfast menu. The view is breathtaking. And all of this at walking distance from Ubud center (although a taxi would still be recommended). We had an excellent stay!

Amazing! Best spot in Ubud”
We absolutely love staying at Ulun Ubud - this will be our third time returning to this gorgeous oasis set in the middle of the lush Ubud jungle and perched atop the Ayung River. The staff are just beautiful, the resort facilities themselves are fantastic too and beautifully Balinese/modern in style. There's 2 pools, a fantastic restaurant at the top of the resort, and a spa. The staff were so accomodating with our request which had our family of 6 split between 2 rooms, and even accommodated my sister who flew in a night ahead of our booking and arrived at midnight - they were incredibly hospitable and we appreciate it. Also - shouldn't miss mentioning the location is fantastic - it's close enough to town you can walk in if you wish, but there's free shuttle buses or scooters make it very easy to get in/out (5mins drive max). Would HIGHLY recommend staying here - cannot fault anything about the Ulun Ubud experience, and we look forward to returning.

Stay At Ulan Ubud Resort”
Our stay at the Ulun Ubud Resort in July was just amazing. The facility is fantastic and the staff provides for your every need. The view is also very lovely and so tranquil. So if your purpose for visiting is to relax then you have chosen a great resort. The resort is located close to shopping and restaurants and they also provide a shuttle to the market area. The hotel is also closer to many of the attractions you will want to visit. If you stay at the resort be prepared to climb a few stairs though. Depending on your room location it could be just a flight or two or several flights. There are no elevators so be prepared. During our stay we climbed the stairs several times a day and actually it was great exercise. We plan to visit Bali again in the near future and we will stay at this resort again to experience the other attractions we missed. Many thanks to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

Piece of paradise ”
We truly enjoyed our stay. It was so peaceful and serene. The rooms are as stated, very clean and spacious. We were close to the pool and enjoyed it every night. The breakfast was very good. There are a lot of steps to get to your room. The hotel helped us with our luggage,. Its is about a 45 minute drive to and from the hotel and they provide a scooter rental. We loved everything about this hotel and highly recommend it.

This place is amazing! Gorgeous scenery, clean, welcome fruit platter and green smoothie, outstanding breakfast with local traditional foods, great service. Dinner is reasonably priced. The Warm Sea soup is not to be missed. Portions are small for mains, so get yourself an appetizer and dessert. The creme brûlée may be the best I have ever had. Pools are a treat. Only negative was the Strawsome drink tasted like blender wash water. I make smoothies every day so that was a disappointment.

Amazing value”
Stayed at 5 hotels during my trip to bali, ulun was definitely the best. Great value for money, staff are super friendly, room is clean and amazing views. Hotel is on a mountain side which gives it great views however there are many stairs. We were climbing approx 60 every time to leave the room and head into town. No problem for us as a younger couple but would be an issue for older travellers or people with mobility issues.

Amazing location..”
Helpful and pleasant staffs, property is away from ubud centre so may have to take taxi. There is no lift and the staffs will help u carry your luggages to your suites but climbing up for breakfast was tedious.. Overall loved the location, the cleanliness and the hospitality... Room was huge, overlooking an amazing view.. Breakfast was fine.

The rooms were very clean, very spacious for a classic suit. We were made very welcome. Breakfast was supper, never seen a breakfast menu like that one before. Transfer to Ubud was brilliant extra cost they will take you to the monkey Forist. Would Definitely book again.

Amazing simply beautiful ”
Staff are just amazing here they are so kind and thoughtful plus up at ever hour. We had booked a trip that started at 6am so missed breakfast (which is incredible by the way as we had it the next morning) so they left us 2 breakfast boxes for our trip. The rooms are so comfy and ours looked out onto a pool which was really lovely. You also have the option to go to the main pool which looks over incredible views. If you are looking for a peaceful tranquil stay where you feel like royalty go here

Wonderful services, clean room and comfy bed”
Love the bed, very comfortable and rooms are well kept and clean. SHort distance to Nagoya Hill Mall, by gojek/grab take about 8mins and 13000/15000 rupiah to get there. Too bad Nogoya hill has most of its shop closed due to Covid. Buger King, Mcdonald, KFC and local eatery are all within walking distance.

Found it to be good value, staff went out of their way to help. Breakfast was decent; two courses from an a la carte menu that changed daily with juice, fruit and bread. Little bit out from the centre but free shuttle or an easy cab. There are nice places nearby although a bit quieter. Is not necessarily a bad thing as closer to some other sights and less chaotic than the centre. I would avoid if you find it difficult to climb steps as there were quite a few to and from the rooms and pool.

Simply amazing, I had a room with the access directly to the smaller pool. The quiet and the peaceful there was amazing. The hotel was not really full. The level of clean was ok. For the breakfast I would have expected to have more than just a choice of one plate.

Perfect resort!”
Ulun Ubud is a perfect resort for small families or couples. The rooms have a lot of character and are very comfortable. The staff is extremely polite and helpful and the food is excellent. Highly recommend this place to anyone considering a travel to Ubud.

Beautiful place”
Only reason I would rate it 4-stars is for its value for money. Expensive but would recommend if you're willing to pay more. Beautiful place with good amount of sunshine at the pool for sunbathing throughout the day. Great view overlooking the rice terrace, serene and green. Good variety for 3-course breakfast with choices from local to English/American and Continental Breakfast. Clean and comfortable room, stainless toilet although linens are showing minor wear and tear signs, i.e. rugged edges, faded colour. Shuttle services provided up till 5.15pm at every hour, not very convenient if you return past dinner time. Nonetheless saved us at least 50k for a trip down to town during the day (about 10min drive away). Excellent service from the staff, greeted with respect and warmth. Second time here and would definitely return and recommend.

This was our favourite stay in Bali! Pros: Breakfast, amazing views (very relaxing), quite central to where we wanted to go, service (staff are so friendly). Cons: Beware there's quite of bit of stairs if you plan to bring luggage but staff are always willing to assist you. You may also find bugs and ants in your room randomly (but its a given considering you're near a jungle like place) Would definitely recommend those who plan to go to Ubud.
