"I think in the Umeda area of Osaka, it is APA Hotel Higobashi Ekimae that wins overall. From Herbis Osaka you can actually have pleasant walk (if you don't have any luggage). For a party of 3, best to take a cab since it will cost you the same if you total train expenses for 3 persons. To the right of the building are a vendo fast food place, a Tsutaya cd/DVD etc shop and ( a further right at the bridge) Life Supermarket with a small department store where you can find good buys and it's open till 2am. You can cap that day with a hot bath in their onsen. APA HOTEL is truly great "

Situated in the middle of Umeda and Namba so if you are in to walking bit of a distance then can walk to either two of above most concentrated areas mentioned for going out or sightseeing. If you get this place cheaper then it’s has the value but smaller room compared other establishment."
