Perfection”
This was my second time in Uphill Cottage (first one was in 2016) and this time it was even better, pure perfection :) Staff is absolutely lovely and super helpful, the room is cozy and clean and the views are unbeatable (although you pay for it with a daily cardio on the stairs :). I'm definitely coming back.

We were picked up at the pier even though we just booked 3 hours prior and didn't notify them when we will arrive. Clean room and everything as expected. The stairs are tough, but the heavy luggage was carried for us. They even saved my sunglasses I dropped down the hill. Very kind and helpful staff. We can recommend thus place!

Uphill is a very suitable name because there was a LOT of stairs, but regardless we ended up extending our stay! The staff were kind and helpful. The hotel itself was a good budget option with clean rooms and powerful AC. The location is great, only a short walk into the main parts of town. The pool was a huge perk! Beautiful views and a nice place to hangout.

Nice rooms, beautiful view, AC was a little non cooling. Otherwise everything was great, need to climb a little but it's worth it. Great staff . Bathroom stinks a little when you flush the toilet but I doubt they can do much about it.

Amazing staff. ”
Uphill is very good priced for the views you see from your balcony. Beds were comfy, supplied water everyday and fresh beach towels. We got picked up from the port by a lovely gentleman who pushed all our bags all the way from the port in the boiling hot heat. The welcome once we got to uphill was lovely they made us feel so welcome gave us all the information we needed, they helped us with snorkelling days out, ferrys and much more. Both the lady and man on reception were so kind and we want that to be recognised. Thank you for having us !

Friendly hosts”
The hosts are such friendly people! Value for money is pretty good, view is amazing. Rooms are clean, bed comfortable. The pool has some missing tiles and therefore looks like it could need some maintenance, but the view absolutely makes up for it. Considering for what you pay this place is absolutely 10/10!!!

Seems like an OK value for phi phi. Music wasn’t too loud. Simple room. The bed was a little bit hard for my taste. But not crazy hard. Lots of stairs. I loved the pool! I loved the viewing area. Good shower. Good ac. Free water!!!! Close to viewpoint. I would stay again. :)

Location is about 10min walk from the pier. However, you will be greeted by staff who will help you carry your luggage and show you the way. We were upgraded to the Bungalow which I would recommend above the other rooms as it's located higher (more privacy and further from the blarring music of the island) . Staff were very accommodating with our needs and gave us good tips around the area. I was nervous about this stay, but we left as happy travellers.

Nice location up the hill in the direction of the viewpoint. Not far to the village and partys. Also there are some nice local and cheaper restaurants in walking distance. In our room we dont hear too mich noises from the partys so everything was fine

Not so great bungalow with a great view”
Firstly, we had to climb 100+ steep steps to get to our bungalow. Read reviews about these before and thought, it’ll be fine. It really wasn’t, not in the heat with all your backpacks etc. Once in the bungalow the walls were in definite need of some new paint. Stains everywhere, dated furnishings, the bathroom was horrible. Only good thing was, the view off the balcony. It was unreal!!! Could see both sides of the water, and see Phi Phi Ley in the background. Stunning. Also there is monkeys hanging around. We heard they can be a pain but never bothered us. Actually got pretty close to a family 5 metres from our place and managed to film them grooming each other, including a tiny baby. Wouldn’t stay here again.
