Best hotels & accommodations in Upper East Side

i have stayed at the plaza before just a few doors down from the helmsley which is out of this world - but a lot more expensive; the helmsley wasn't too far behind the plaza standards and is a fraction of the cost. it is a beautiful hotel and our central park view room was so magical and made us feel like we were truely in the very heart of nyc! just steps away from ...

I stayed at the Mark 8 years ago, before the renovation. It was quiet and understated then, and is even better now. What I like is that the lobby is small and compact, with the bar on one side and the dining room directly in front (dining room doors are closed in the evening, giving it an even cozier feel). The rooms are small, but everything I needed was there: wi-fi ...

We booked a junior suite for our small family of 3. The room was clean, spacious and overlooked a small garden. It even included a kitchenette, complete with pans, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, and refrigerator. We all fit in the huge King sized bed but another person could have slept on the sofa, if necessary. I loved the bath toiletries from Philosophy because they ...

I've been staying at the Wales for some years. Many of my theatrical and writerly friends stay there, for its closeness to Elaine's. I used to live on 72nd, between Madison and Fifth, so its sufficiently close to rekindle memories. The best of the Upper East Side Historic District is within walking distance. And to be able to walk half a block to Fifth, two blocks ...

I have high praise for the staff and their attentiveness. I had the perfect sized room in a great location of Manhattan. The Wi-Fi service is terrible and I would suggest the hotel work on that but otherwise this was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be returning to this property for future trips.

i've stayed in many hotels in nyc and this was by far the best hotel i've stayed at. i got off to a bit of a rocky start when my room wasn't ready when i checked in. i had to wait another 30mins which was irritating when rooms are expected to be ready by 3pm and i had just travelled quite some way to get there. after that hiccup all was smooth sailing. the rooms were g...

This is a luxory hotel, I was there attending a conference. Not the best match, luxury is fine, by all means, but this model does not quite meet the European efficiency standards with regards to conducting business meetings and conferences. If you are running between meetings at different floors, it is very unconvenient to wait 5-8 minutes because not all elevator are ...

First we needed to pick up the key at the office which is far away from the hotel. The staff never picks up the phone. It was hard to find the office and the apartment without any help from the staff. The apartment was dirty and smelly. Very narrow and different from the picture. When finally we could talk with the staff, she was very arrogant and rude and not helpfu...
